In general, we enjoyed our stay at the house and our time in Deep Creek. However, I sent a message on Friday night about how we arrived at the house and saw that one of the bedrooms downstairs had a wet carpet and areas were moldy. The carpet throughout the weekend became more and more sopping wet. You could not place anything on the floor and had to wear shoes in there. The house more than likely has a foundation wall that is leaking. I called Railey on Saturday morning and the nice person I spoke with said he could put a work order in to have someone come out and inspect things, bring in equipment to dry the carpet, etc but that would have been even more disruptive during our short stay there. This was disappointing and I felt awful for the guests staying in that room.

While some aspects of the property need some upkeep (blinds, some dining chairs, etc), the house was homey, had plenty of amenities and a stunning view. Highly recommend.

Best family vacation ever. The house was really nice. Very child friendly from baby gate to swings and a small zip line. We all loved how close it was to the lake with the dock and little cove for the children to play in with their toys. Would love, and highly recommend renting again next year.

While the location of the property was fantastic, the weather was less than cooperative. Unfortunately, it appeared that the house was somewhat dated and in need of maintenance and upkeep/updating. Perhaps this is due to the house being a rental property versus someone's vacation home/rental. We did find the endless array of "notes" everywhere somewhat disturbing but yet a further indication of it being a rental property and not someone's home. The upside was the indoor pool which the grandkids made full use of considering the weather outside. One thing that I found particularly disturbing and somewhat dangerous was the outdoor gas grill. It has some SERIOUS burner issues that should be attended to immediately, or replace the grill entirely. Additionally, it was clearly obvious that previous tenants did not make any attempts at cleaning after use. I did my best but to no avail. I could see that the owners have tried to provide everything possible for a fun stay for their guests but the photos, while trying not to be rhetorical, are somewhat "dated" as is this home.

Was set to travel to Myrtle Beach for vacation but Florence had other ideas, once we found that our destination would be hit by the storm we decided to go west to Deep Creek Lake. Found a place that had 7bedrooms, seating for 11 at the table, indoor heated pool and other activities. This was a last minute booking. Arrived on Sunday and checked in, the place had a very large deck, with plenty of seating, and a beautiful view. Inside was nice but it does need updating. The carpet in the dining room area was very worn and dirty, the hardwood floors are very worn, a chair was broken, bathrooms were ok, but water pressure is very low. The outdoor hot tub had very little water and we later found it had a leak and had to be serviced everyday. The indoor heated pool was not really heated and the water was very cloudy everyday. We were able to use it after it was serviced each day. The refrigator downstairs did not work properly and a repairman had to work on it while we were there, he was able to fix the ice maker and got it cooling again. The washer did not work properly and we had to do clothes over at least three times to finally get them clean. There was a nice boat dock and canoe. We put garbage in the bear proof can and found it was not bear proof, had to clean up what the bears had left. There were two ovens but one only works on convection bake, the other one worked fine. We did have a good time but found that there many things that needed repaired and we should not have be inconvenienced with all the repair people. I must say Railey realty responded to everything that need attention. They were very professional. The home is nice but needs updating. I find it difficult to recommend this property until it is brought up to standards.
