Just Updated April 2018 Spectacular and full 2 - Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Villa. Rental by Owner, for those vacationers who require a large living space, located in Fairway Courts Complex, considering this the Best Section in Palmas del Mar Residential and Resort Community. Just 45 minutes from the San Juan International Airport and Old San Juan. This Villa is fully equipped. The Master Room has a King bed and its own bathroom, with sliding doors facing the Terrace and pool view. The guest room has 2 Twin beds with an 1 extra Folding Twin Bed, a full bathroom , a small kitchen and a small fridge in the second bathroom with and independent door. The Villa also has a big kitchen with all utensils, pots, pans, small appliances, Fridge, dishwasher, Washer and Dryer. Linens and towels available. Welcome packet with starter: 1 roll toilet paper per bath, hand soap and shower gel on dispensers on both baths, dish soap on dispenser, 2 dishwasher pods, 1 handwipe, 1 sponge, 1 roll paper towel, trash can with one bag, 2 pods laundry detergent. Guests will need to refill all those essentials for their personal use among with their personal products. You may find a few clothes hangers but not guaranteed. Also Included a Sofa Bed. WIFI, (2) 4 Smart TVs . Total of 1,700 Square feet Villa. Sleep 6 adults or 5 adults and 2 children. Not prepared for handicapped, second floor Villa with multi steps inside. You will be next to the Tennis Club Courts, facing hole number six from one of the 18 Holes Championship Golf Courses, The Flamboyan course and The Palm course, designed by Rees Jones and Gary Player. Walking distance from the Casino and more than two miles of sandy beaches within the Resort property, more than 12 Restaurants and Bistros, full service Marina, Deep Sea Fishing/SCUBA charters and complete equestrian center. Just 30 minutes away from the town of Fajardo where you have Ferry service to Vieques and Culebra islands, you can also have the choice to take a boat from Palmas del Mar for trips to Monkey Island, Culebra , Vieques, Palomino , Palominito, offering unspoiled, pristine, white sand beaches. Everything was great - Palmas is beautiful! Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the kitchen. I bought supplies and cleaned the grease off the entire stove, cleaned the outside of the dishwasher and refrigerator, scrubbed the sink and drains with cleanser and wiped down all the cabinets. There were ants on the counters the whole time. I did not clean the pantry, which needs to be done. Wish there were cookie sheets to be able to heat up a pizza or anything in the oven. Also, no washcloths and 2 hand towels. Overall great stay - could have been fabulous.

Everything was great, just as advertised. The only thing I could recommend is that they have more supplies, toilet paper, plastic cups, dish soap etc. They seem to keep all this locked in a closet. Also kitchen towels, which we bought and left there.

The area/resort was nice, although there wasn't enough within walking distance--you need a golf cart for the resort. We had no idea we should have rented one before leaving for PR, and unfortunately for our teens, no rentals were available. This would be good to know on the VRBO website.
The unit itself is outdated, & the kitchen is falling apart (the countertops are dented because of a poor installation, and they are not connected to the cabinets in some places.) The dishes were filthy--we had to boil pans with soap and water to get the food off before using them. The entire unit needs a thorough cleaning.
We didn't have hot water for the first 3 days. Initially, the owner told us they'd just installed a new water heater and that it was set properly. After a few more texts, she had the property manager (who was lovely) address the issue and add a "booster." The issue was that their water heater wasn't large enough to heat an entire condo (my husband is a contractor and saw the unit).
We travel a lot and have stayed in rental homes from Iceland, Rome, Hawaii and a slew of places in between. This condo wasn't the worst, but it is on the low end of places we've rented and very disappointing.
Most hosts provide a book with things to do, how to access places (like the beach), etc., but this one did not. It would have been helpful.
Also, less of an issue, but there were no batteries in the main TV remote.
Overall, it could have been much better. I would not rent it again.

The location was an easy drive with GPS from SJU airport. From the time we arrived to the time we left everyone was friendly and helpful. The condo was spacious, modern, well cared for, with a great view of both the pool and the mountains. Palmas is huge, I would recommend renting a golf cart even for a day to tour all of it. We didn't eat in Palmas much, there is a great food truck park a few miles out, and the food truck/stands along the streets are also a must. We traveled to Patillas by coast and the view was breath taking the entire way. We stopped at a local bakery to bring home goodies the day before we checked out. On check out day I made it to the airport and realized we forgot our goodies on the counter. The condo manager offered for his son to drive to the airport with our baked goods which goes to show the kindness you can expect. We will be back for certain.

This is my 3rd visit to PR and love the island and people.
The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The space had plenty of room for 4 people and the pool was just below us.
The beach was just okay, the seaweed season is here and the eastern side of the island got hit. So the beach was unswimable and had an odor for 1/2 our stay.
Overall a good time and value

We stayed for a week over the kids spring break. The condo was exactly as described. Only thing is that the pics in the listing don’t do it justice! Felt above my pay grade. One minute walk to the big, clean quiet pool. Great view of the pool to keep an eye on the kids. Felt totally safe. Safe enough for the kids, 15 and 13, to walk to the plaza for ice cream and pizza. Warm sun on the balcony in the evenings. Had cooking gear for breakfast and a few dinners in. Would stay again for sure.

The villa was very beautiful and clean great for families, close to the beach and inside palmas del mar the only problem i had was that if you barely make any noise the neighbors downstairs will complain for any little noise you make like they left me a note saying i was moving furniture late at night which i wasn't because i would usually go to sleep around 9pm to get up early the only thing i would move is the chairs in the dining room to sit and eat even then i would mostly pick them up so they would make noise besides that noise complain everything else was great!

Twin mattresses were SO hard and uncomfortable.
No mattress pads or top sheets on any beds. (mattresses were clean but still seemed odd)
Short brown hair was everywhere.
Refrigerator was not clean.
Could not adjust temperature and it was cold.
Dirty sock found in end table of master bedroom.
Tons of ants by master bed.
Palmas Del Mar property is absolutely beautiful and certainly well maintained. Navigating it took some effort, however. Just a suggestion to maybe consider leaving a property map or some tips for renters. It would really be helpful for people not familiar with the area. Parking at Palmanova Plaza was very difficult and service at all of the restaurants we visited was definitely sub-par. It’s unfortunate because there is so much potential for it to be a really cool place. The beach was very nice but we wouldn’t swim because of the rip currents. It was a great place to just hang out for the day though. We bought a day pass for $35 to hang out at the Wyndham on our last day. We understood that there was also a casino there but we were told it “isn’t working right now”. All in all I would stay at Palmas again.

Palmas Del Mar is a nice resort and we felt very safe there. The condo itself was fine but could definitely use some new supplies like nicer sheets and bedding, towels (no hand towels to be found), kitchen supplies. While we only did minimal cooking, there was not even an oven mit or a kitchen towel to use. The grounds of the condo are very nice and the pool area is comfortable and relaxed. Overall we enjoyed our stay in PR and appreciated having a quiet condo to relax in after long days of exploring.

Villa generally met expectations. Non-working microwave was replaced within hours of notifying. Major downside, however, was the mattress (way too soft) and bed linen (way too thin). We recommend both be replaced/upgraded.

The kitchen was not so tidy few ants, checkin has to be called 3 days in advance and lots of contracts signed make sure you have the time to do before you go owner comes personally to greet you and say goodbye lol but he’s great!

We faced multiple delays with our flight and car rental and didn’t get to the property u til 1 a.m., the property manager Carlos happily waited was their to meet us to go over the property and give us the keys. It was above and beyond and we were very grateful. The condo itself was beautiful and as described in the listing. The balcony views are serene and a peaceful way to end your night. Would 100% rent again.

Nice location with short car rides to other locations. Nice villa right in front of pool (which we enjoyed) would be happy to visit again. Really helpful, welcoming and friendly property manager also.

Nice location (by pools). The listing is accurate and it is an outstanding value. There was a little hiccup regarding check-in but the owner made it right. Overall a great stay and I would recommend.

The Property was beautiful. It's 24 hours gated community. The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, washer & dryer, large living room & dining room. Love the porch they have. We love the area & we will definitely come back again 💯%

We are a family of four and this property had all we needed. Just like in the listing spacious & clean with a lovely view. We all enjoyed the pool and especially the hot tub. I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved everything! The owners were attentive and flexible when we had to make a last second date change from Covid. They were always cheerful and helpful in their replies. I loved having a view of the pool and hot tub when my kids and teens were swimming so I could keep an eye on things. The beach was a short walk away. The gate pass to get out to the beach was missing and the replacement hadn't arrived yet. Perhaps having a spare pass nearby would be helpful for other guests. The property manager was wonderful. We enjoyed finding coconuts on the beach and snorkeling! The place was clean when we arrived. Overall 5 stars for a family vacation great place to stay!

My husband and I enjoyed our 5 week stay immensely, an escape from the cold. Our home away from home was clean and roomy, the veranda was our evening pleasure! Any issues were minor and addressed immediately, Carlos was awesome! Our host were gracious, accommodating and responded almost immediately with any questions we had prior to our stay. Would definitely recommend a stay here and would love a return. Thank you Vanessa!

This property was perfect for my family. It was a total of 7 of us. 4 adults and 3 kids and the space is big enough for us not to feel cramped. I love the high ceilings. AC was great. The pool right outside of our room was awesome (wear sunscreen!). The washer and dryer were very convenient. The rooms were modern and the mattress was super comfortable. I will definitely stay here again in my future stays. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay but there were moments when access to the property was problematic. Guards at the gate weren’t there the front day when we arrived and a switched digit in a phone number made us wait at the gate for a bit. The keycard was also not functional and when we inquired at the walking gate, they just said to walk around. It was fine but just a weird response

My husband and I stayed for 8 days. At arrival we were greeted at the apartment by the complex manager Carlos, he was excellent very friendly and professional.
The apartment was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Our experience was wonderful, Carlos the manager was helpful, and was very receptive in calling us back regarding any question we might have had. The Villa has an awesome view, we felt safe and the Villa was clean. We would return there in a heartbeat. Our granddaughters were impressed and they loved having the pool some days for themselves. It was an enjoyable stay, due to the fact that in these times of uncertainty it’s great to know that you are secure and that is one less thing to think about! Beautiful Villa, beautiful stay!!

We enjoyed staying at the property and recommend it to all that want to stay at a great location. The property was spacious, all appliances were in good order, and everything was nice and neatly cleaned. Will definitely stay here again. By the way, my stay was during the COVID period, so the hosts worked with us and was very flexible to accommodate our changing plans a few times. I'm very appreciative of that. Thank you

It certainly is a pleasure to say how marvelous our stay in the Villa 742 at Fairway Court in Palmas Del Mar, Humacao. We loved how everything in the Villa turned out to be exactly as depicted on the website and more. The living room and dining room were large and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, the bedrooms luxurious, the building well-maintained and very quiet. All was spotlessly clean and the linens and towels generously supplied. The Villa could not be better located, pool and hot tub - fully functional and all this is after the Villa suffered two major hurricanes on the island. Not once did we lose electricity and everything working in magnanimous conditions. An enjoyable part of our stay was exploring the Villas beaches and site seeing and being able to relax by the pool. The Villa is safe and family orientated.
I have to again compliment on how beautifully the Villa is kept and the Manager Carlos Vera who received us at the Villa and was there for any of our needs if we needed. Again, thank you very much for helping to make our trip an enjoyable experience. We will most definitely recommend Friends and Family members to Fairway Court Villa 742. The owners Vanessa/Jimmy always answered emails on the spot.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Palmas Del Mar resort. The condo was great! The view of the courtyard & pool area was great from the balcony. The condo was more spacious than the pictures eluded to. Honestly, I don't think the pictures do the place justice. The only trouble we had was with the wifi the first night. I emailed the owner & he was very prompt & helpful in getting it resolved. We ate at a restaurant in the resort the first night, which had very good food & service. We spent the majority of our time in Fajardo, which is only about a 35 minute drive from the resort. There is lots to do there. We also took a water taxi to Palomino Island & Icacos Island. Simply beautiful!! Just be prepared if you go to Icacos Island, to take plenty of water & food. There is nothing on the island...it's just an island. We would definitely come back to stay!

We stayed at the villa for 14 nights. Jaime was great with communication and worked with us on dates. The home was located in a quiet gated community with a beautiful view of the pool. We spent a few days at the home cooking on the very large BBQ and enjoying the large pool. We have stayed on the resort the last 3 years and found the security guards to be quite friendlier than the previous locations. We also found the home to be very comfortable and safe. Our daughters enjoyed sitting out on the large balcony and the closeness of the beach. Located in the center of all the necessities. We really enjoyed our stay and the comfort was exceptional. the house was cool and had everything you could need. We did snorkeling, kayaking, hiking,and gambling at the local casino. The food was amazing.

Let me start with the good. The location is walking distance to beach and casino. The view from the deck is good. The owners try to appease you but the problems are more than they can take care of by phone. When I arrive it is freezing inside I check the thermostat is at around 60 degrees. A sign reads PLEASE LEAVE THERMOSTAT AT TEMP. IT IS SET AT DAMAGE TO THE UNIT WILL BE CHARGED TO YOU. I call Vanessa and ask if I can turn it up she tells me no it has to stay where its at. These units were built about 40 years ago and this unit is the same as it was 40years ago. NO UPGRADES! Here is a list of problems I encountered. Porch light switch not working properly, Roof leaks in hall slipped and fell one morning after a rain, Modem went out had to waste a day of vacation waiting for repair, Power went out everyday at least once on 2/16 went out for almost 2 days. no hot water, no stove, no lights, no computer or TV, TV is very small basic channels only, Hot tub did not work the entire month, The Pool was closed for several days, Sliding door did not slide properly or latch they have a pipe you stick in the door for security, one of the microwaves did not work, several light bulbs burnt out, Junk golf carts sitting out front, Cabinet doors and drawers do not open or close properly, Bi fold doors do not open or close properly one is off the track, Neighbors dogs barking, Hearing protection required from about 8am to 1pm Hedge trimmer, weed eaters, and blowers everyday, Gas grill starter does not work and burners are worn out. Do Not be Fooled by the pictures and the other reviews. I rent a place every winter on VRBO and this is my very first bad experience. I cannot recommend this unit.

My wife and I spent 9 wonderful nights at Jimmy and Vanessa's Villa Nov. 20-29, 2013. Booking was easy and seamless. Jimmy and I did our share of texting and talking on the phone before the trip regarding the villa and golfing in Puerto Rico and I found him to be just the nicest person in the world. Carmen the caretaker met us on time with the keys and a tour of the home. The villa is in such a beautiful area of Puerto Rico with amazing views from the front of the 6th hole of the Palms course and off the rear balcony of the beautiful pool area. It's a short walk to the ocean past the Wyndham Hotel which has a restaurant and small casino. We did rent a car which we found necessary. Although driving in Puerto Rico was a bit tricky for us. The highways aren’t marked as clearly as they are in Chicago and it got a little frustrating. But if you are patient and don’t mind missing your exits, it will be ok. The villa had everything we needed; towels, blankets, washer/dryer, pool toys, plenty of utensils, etc. for cooking which we did a few times including a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. Steaks and Chicken on the BBQ. And the Wifi was extremely great to have. We just didn't want to leave.

This luxury apartment was everything it was claimed to be and more. The condo itself was beautiful and well maintained. The kitchen was very well appointed. Carmen, the liaison, was reliable and helpful. Jimmy, the owner, was a prince of a guy. He had the A/C in the guest room fixed the same day when a relay blew. Each time we had a question, he responded immediately. When we inadvertently put one of the A/C remotes in our luggage as we left, he had a perfect solution. We can't say enough about how well he treated us.
As for Palmas del Mar itself, the pool at the compound is absolutely gorgeous, and the hot tub works well too. Neither was at all crowded. The beach is a classic, just a short walk, great swimming. They go a little overboard with safety warnings--our favorite was "Beware of falling coconuts." Although nothing in Palmas is a bargain, everything is high class. We ate at four of the restaurants and they were all very good. The golf was pricey, but the Flamboyan course is one of the best in the Caribbean. The fitness center was also a little pricey, but for us, very important. The outside activities are within easy driving distance. Old San Juan is a great tourist spot, only an hour's drive. The spectacular rain forest El Yunque is less than an hour away--don't miss it. We found a zipline adventure that was lots of fun.
To sum up, the best bargain at Palmas del Mar is Jimmy's condo. It was a combination of fun, relaxation, and value.
