Our adorable studio suite has been beautifully remodeled to sleep four guests comfortably. It has a king size bed and a full-size sofa pull out for a second bed. The fully appointed kitchen is completely stocked with appliances, cookware, and dishes. All you need to do is to fill it with your favorite food and treats! A fresh Farmers Market is located down the road along with a full service grocery store. The condo has new cabinetry and granite counters in the kitchen which makes this room a focal point. The bathroom is also newly remodeled and very clean. Ka'anapali Shores Resort is located on the most desired beach on Maui. It is truly spectacular! The resort features 463 rooms, including two pools, hot tubs, restaurant and lounge, fitness center and spa, convenience store, tennis and shuffle board. The Garden Pool has been renovated with an array of fun features including a new hot tub, multi-color LED Lighting at night, waterfalls, tropical garden and other aquatic features. Enjoy a refreshing drink at the new Ocean Pool bar before spending a relaxing afternoon poolside. BBQs are provided for fun outdoor cooking near the beach. The beautiful setting of Ka'anapali Beach keep guests coming back here year after year! There are several restaurants close by, including Java Jazz across the street in the shopping center. Studio unit, at the rear of the property, overlooking Honokowai stream and Papakea resort. Pretty quiet during the day. It’s a good spot if you don’t like the noise from the pool area. Host was friendly and responded promptly to questions. I’d stay there again

The room was comfortable although there was not a pull out couch. The evening we arrived there was a problem with water leaking so there were 3 maintenance people in and out of the unit while we were in our pajamas trying to get some rest after a long travel day. The coffee was nice but no coffee filters. We also thought there was in suite laundry as we were told about the 30 gallon water tank so to consider this while showering and doing laundry. All in all we still enjoyed our visit and love Kaanapali Shores!

We enjoyed our stay, the unit was a perfect size for a couple. The resort was beautiful and in a great location. The unit itself could use some upgrades- the curtains were difficult to open and close, the lighting above the bathroom sink was a little outdated. Overall great place.

Who is definitely clean but a little rundown. Lots of dings on the furniture and looks like it hasn’t been updated for a decade or more. There are multiple posts about the “screaming toilet”. It is ridiculously loud, and I would think after so many guests have complained about it disrupting their sleep, you would’ve replaced the toilet by now. That’s a pretty simple (and inexpensive) repair. The only other thing I would say is that the condo REALLY needs a dresser. There is a large audio/visual cabinet in the corner under a wall-mounted TV. That cabinet could easily be swapped out for a 4-drawer dresser (or a cabinet that has shelving and drawers). That simple change (and a normal toilet) would have made the stay so much more pleasant.

We really enjoyed the Kaanapali Shores Resort. Lovely grounds, well run and excellent entertainment. It was nice to have the Beach Club Restaurant and Bar on the property. Liked the shops at the resort. It was very close to a grocery store and food trucks, restaurants and shops. We have had a VRBO Suite that we rented out in the past so we have a good idea of what guests like. The overall condition of the suite was okay but the laminate flooring in the living room was in really rough shape. Replacing that floor would be a good idea. The curtains are also in rough shape. The sliding door screens are falling apart. The patio doors really rattled when there when it was windy. The bed and pillows were comfortable which is very important. The light panels in the bathroom were dirty and the bathroom light by the sink did always work. The toilet moaned when flushed so that was a problem in the middle of the night. The furnishings like the couch and chairs were fine. Some of the pictures on the walls were not centered over the furnishing. That is not a big thing except I am an artist so it bothered me. If the suite was painted an lighter shade it would be more inviting. The window in the kitchen did not have a shade so the light bothered us in the early morning hours. The location of the suite in the complex was not the best being on close the the parking lot of the next resort. Car alarms were going off at all hours. Directly below the suite was the complex maintenance area so delivery trucks where coming and going. The railing were been replaced on that side of the complex so the jack hammers were noisy. The property was relatively clean but not as clean as I would like it. We did like the fact that the suite had a blender and the kitchen was well equiped. It would be nice it there was a spatula. A metal flipper for the BBQ would be nice. The property management company was good. We wouldn't recommend this suite to a friend mainly due to the noise factor.

Our family of 4 stayed for just under a week and enjoyed our stay. The unit is at the end of the building so it was quiet and felt private. Balcony overlooks a canal that wasn’t the prettiest but it was nice to sit out with a coffee in the morning. The room itself was ok, our bed didn’t have a headboard which felt strange and the sofa could use a deep clean. Kitchen had everything we needed and bathroom was ok. There was a small cooler which was nice to bring to the beach and pool. There was unfortunately some work in the lobby during our stay so there was plywood covering the the whole view to the back garden and had to walk through scaffolding to get to the pool area. We enjoyed the pool, nice and clean and wasn’t too crowded. No bar service at the scenic pool but the restaurant overlooked the other rectangle plain pool. There is a small coffee shop in the lobby and a small shopping arcade. The grocery across the street was very convenient.

The place wasn't the cleanest, lots of dust on the walls, broken shower light exposing pipes, dishes needed to be rewashed. The host ensured they use a professional cleaner, but I think they may need a new one. If you have kids I would not recommend this size room. Its better for 2 adults only.
There was no dresser or anything to put clothes in so we lived out of the suitcase the entire week (4 of us).
There is no towel service, so you have to use pool towels for your showers.
We had some issues with the iron, it ruined a shirt, but they were prompt in replacing us with a new one.
The hotel will not allow you to use the luggage cart or dvd rental bc you book through a private host rather than using them directly.
Overall, I probably would not stay here again but if you are on a budget this is a good choice.

Pros: clean spacious unit and good location. Nice grounds/pools. Great beach access.
Cons: check-in/check-out times too rigid. Had to wait 4 hours with my bags when I arrived. Bathroom is dated and toilet made a terrible noise with every flush. Not enough towels. Communication with property manager was a bit challenging.

This property was nice for a couple, but it was small for two adults and two kids and had no dresser for clothes. It's dated and needs a few improvements. Upon arrival, one of the ceiling tiles in the bathroom was broken on the floor, exposing the pipes overhead; however, this was quickly fixed. I also emailed/texted about ants in the condo but never received a response. There was mold/mildew on the shower curtain and on the underside of the foldout beds mattress. That being said, the grounds of the property were lovely. A great place to unwind after being out and about all day: the kids loved the pool, and having a couple of stores downstairs was very nice. It is located within walking distance of a great coffee shop, many other small shops, and a park.

The property location is wonderful - nice pools, grounds, restaurant, etc. That said, the unit we stayed in is very dated and not as advertised. There is no view of the beach, rather a drainage ditch and this unit is at one end of the facility above the garage. Kitchen area was fine - bathroom was subpar at best, dirty ceiling tiles, dirty light panels, some evidence of water damage on the walls, etc. We were very disappointed in the unit itself.
Door lock battery quit working two days into our stay - the mgmt. team was prompt in fixing it and getting us into the unit. We showed them the areas that need to be fixed.

We loved our visit to Kaanapali Shores and have all positives to say about the owners and their organization and communication. The resort is really beautiful and we took advantage of both pools and the restaurant. We also appreciated the kitchen (which was well stocked) so we didn't have to keep going out to find meals every couple hours. We also loved having coin laundry in the building so we only had to pack half the clothes. The only teeny-tiny negative I have is the weather is often windy in Maui and at night the screen doors rattled a bit. If you have a small soundmaker, I would suggest packing that. Other than that, I have nothing but great things to say. I also really appreciated all the soap, paper towels, kleenex, ect. It was convenient to not have to buy those products.

It's hard to be disappointed by anything in Maui. This little studio condo is charming. There is a tiny view however if a view is extremely important to you than you'll want to look for some place else, and of course pay more. However, our intention was not to spend lots of time in our room. This spot is perfect for an active couple or group of four who intend to get outside and explore the island. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you want to prepare all of your meals. We didn't really do that. We made coffee and ate fruit & yogurt in the morning, stored picnic foods for the afternoon and ate out most every night. If you're on a strict budget than prepare your own meals. Eating out gets expensive. The floors were sandy when we arrived so I had to do a thorough sweeping cause we wanted to walk around barefoot and not climb in bed with sandy feet. Nice, comfortable place.

Best Host Experience I’ve Ever Had
From day one KimMarie has completely made our stay in Maui one we will never forget! There has been so much uncertainty in the wake of Covid-19 and she has been available and communicative at every twist, turn, and bump in the road! Her ability to be flexible with us as we’ve had to change travel plans, dates, even extending our booking was so refreshing and so greatly appreciated. Even though she and her staff have been overloaded with all the changes happening in their industry, she always went out of her way to help us with even the smallest, mundane requests, never making us feel like a burden! She feels like family now, and we will definitely be coming back to her locations for seasons to come!

Clean studio in great location
The condo was great to stay in for a recent trip. The only thing I would have liked is a dresser, even a small one, in the living area. I put my clothes in the nightstand and spread out on the chairs instead, which is not really ideal. The property manager (Kim) was responsive and helpful. I did also appreciate that there were plenty of towels!
