Our large deck is gated so that you can open up the family room sliding glass doors and allow your dogs to come and go from the house to deck as they please. Bedroom Layout: On the main floor there is a large bedroom with 2 sets of twin over twin bunk beds and a king size bed. In this room is also a bathroom with a shower and an ensuite vanity area. On the upper floor there are two smaller bedrooms. One bedroom has two twin beds and the other bedroom offers an amazing ocean view at the foot of a queen size bed. Kitchen: The kitchen is compact and galley style. The kitchen is located on the main floor and is fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, oven/stove, toaster, coffee maker, Keurig, coffee bean grinder, blender, hand mixer, and other cooking amenities. For additional cooking pleasure, you will find a gas AND charcoal grill on the deck. Bathrooms: Both bathrooms are on the smaller size in keeping with the style of the home and are located on the main floor of the house. One bathroom is located within the main floor bedroom and offers a shower and extended vanity area with cabinets and a drawer. The second bathroom has a built-in storage cabinet, shower/bathtub and a pedestal sink. MAGENTA SHORES is a delightful beach home that has been beautifully remodeled. The floor plan reflects the owners' desire to maintain the true beach house feeling. It has one large bunk room downstairs and two smaller bedrooms upstairs. The bathrooms have been updated, they are fresh and clean and on the smaller size. The beach home has a cozy feeling with a roaring fire in the main living area and 180 degree unobstructed views of the ocean. Walking out from the main living area is a very large deck, great for whale, sea lion, and wave watching during the day and star gazing at night. The deck also offers a charcoal AND gas grill for your grilling pleasure. The owners strive to provide a personal, relaxing, comfortable, clean, environment for you and your family to enjoy an authentic beach house experience. Gleneden Beach, a small town 5 miles south of Lincoln City, has a few restaurants (such as the fantastic Side Door Cafe), small shops, and a grocery store, but the real attraction is the stretch of uncrowded, pristine coastline. This home is ocean front and has beach access just 100 feet away! For more restaurants, attractions, and shops, you can easily drive north to Lincoln City or south to Depoe Bay, though with the beach so close and with amazing views right from the comfort of the living room, deck, and master bedroom, you may not want to leave this terrific home!

Our stay here was amazing.
This house has just about everything you need for the perfect family getaway, and has a very homey feeling to it upon your first steps inside. The location was perfect just a few minute drive outside of Lincoln City and in a nice quiet beachfront neighborhood. We were able to see our first whale ever vacationing on the Oregon Coast right from the balcony! The sunsets were amazing and so were the hosts!

We had such a lovely time- a great space for me and my 3 kids. There's plenty of space, fantastic selection of games, movies, and books, well-equipped kitchen- everything that a family needs on vacation. The deck is absolutely amazing, and we loved using the grill and eating outside. Location cannot be beat!!! Please note that the beach path closest to the house is rather treacherous- probably not the best for those with balance issues. There is a rope set up to help climb up and down which was helpful. That said, we loved our time here and
I'm already looking at the calendar for next summer so we can return to Magenta Shores!

Loved our stay here. Spent five days exploring an uncrowded beach, watching whales and seals, and spending time with family. Everything you could think of wanting has been provided by the host. The house was meticulously clean when we arrived and very cozy and comfortable. Thank you for helping us make lifelong memories!

The home was extremely well supplied. View was amazing! The very large deck was great to sit out on and watch the ocean and sunsets. Fenced deck and yard were perfect for small children and pets. Negatives: 2 extremely small bathrooms, kitchen very narrow galley style so hard to have more than 1 person at a time preparing meals, 6 of the 10 person sleeping arrangements were all in one room so no privacy there, and not a close & easy beach access (one was a bit of a walk and the other not easy & even dangerous for some).

This is my first time renting a beach house. It was an amazing experience. The check in process was a breeze as was the check out process. Valerie recommended some places to take our 3 year old and they were spot on. I can’t recommend this property enough.

Absolutely amazing views!
House was perfect for our family of seven as well as our furry family member. Very clean. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare a meal. Easy access to the beach. Deck that gave unobstructed views of the ocean...sat outside when not walking on the beach. Saw sea lions and a family of orcas from it. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family stayed for our annual Thanksgiving Beach trip (2 couples, 2 teens plus our dogs). The location was fantastic - just a short walk (less than a block) to the beach access, then a wide, sandy, relatively empty beach stretches farther in either direction than you're likely to walk.
We enjoyed nearly perfect weather (in November!) but even if it were raining, the views from the house, the large, partly covered deck, and the cozy fire place would have ensured we could still enjoy the beachy vibe.
The house itself is as described in the listing - on the smaller side and very traditional beach-house with an open main floor (the views!), small kitchen and bathrooms, small but well appointed bedrooms, and a sizeable 'bonus' room with king bed and bunks. The mattresses were surprisingly comfortable for a rental home - towels were plentiful, kitchen items were high quality, puzzles and games were great... all in all very satisfied.
Finally, Valerie was a phenomenal host. We usually prefer renting from the owner vs an agency, and Valerie was the BEST! Her care and communication prior to our stay, responsiveness in answering questions, immediate availability for the very minor check-in issue we had, willingness to let us stay just a few hours longer on checkout, PLUS all of the details and amenities (dog treats, phone chargers, etc) were noticed and appreciated.

Close quarters with a great view
This place has an amazing view and was a great place to stay. Very clean and provided a lot of necessities. It was really tight fit for 6 people, if we had any more people it wouldn’t have been very comfy but overall we had a good time.

Perfect for families!
We traveled to the beach with our 18month old and 4yr old and this home had everything we needed and more! With a pack-n-play already there and the kids dishes and all the kids activities, this home was made for families! When your little one has decided he's had enough of being on the beach, it's awesome to go back to the house and still get to see the ocean waves while they play inside. There were two things I really loved about this home... one was having 3 bedrooms and plenty of space for the kids to have their own room and everyone slept well. The second thing is ALL THE KID ACTIVITIES in the home! There were plenty of books for littles, plenty of games/puzzles for preschoolers, even crayons to color and bubbles to blow on the deck. It was a bit dreary a couple days and we had lots to do inside with the kids... which is not an easy feat.
Very comfortable and clean home. Oh and like other reviews said, it has everything you need in the kitchen down to spices, olive oil, and aluminum foil... the things you tend to forget when you're cooking elsewhere!

We loved this rental! Easy access, constantly being able to see the ocean was amazing. Well-stocked and organized. Valerie was a gracious host! Great communication. Our 5 year old loved the game selections! Overall would highly recommend for a family vacation!

Beautiful view of ocean and beach; somewhat difficult access to beach
Overall nice house in a great location. Easy drive to both Lincoln City and Depot Bay. The view is spectacular! Beach access was more difficult than I expected from the description. My mom is in her 80s and she could not access the beach. This was disappointing as the vacation was primarily planned for her benefit.
I felt the house could have been cleaner and better maintained. The floors were not swept very well and there were crumbs on the kitchen table when we arrived. The back patio door was very difficult to open & close. This would be easily fixed with some cleaning and maintenance. The beds are not great, particularly the twin beds upstairs; very old, sunken and uncomfortable. All of the pillows in the house could be tossed out, in my opinion. The bathrooms are very small.
That said, this is a good beach house for a family. It’s not luxurious by any means but there are plenty of beds and the dining/living room area is nice. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, however I was surprised that there was no toaster or teapot. If you plan on cooking meals there you may need to bring some kitchen supplies.
Another thing that I think essential for a beach house is an outdoor spigot to wash feet & shoes before coming into the house. There is one near the front door but it was not working. I could not find another one.

Almost like Hawai!
We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Magenta Shores. I have never stayed at a rental property where every little detail was considered - from dog toys, to spices, to saran wrap and of course all the essentials! The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything you would ever need. The house was very clean and so cutely decorated. The king sized bed in the downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. Location was perfect - right on the water with an amazing view from the living room and the deck, and a convenient short drive to Lincoln City. Newport isn't far away either. We had 3 great days of weather. We sent photos to friends who wondered why we were in Hawaii and not Oregon! Had a very tiny glitch on check in but Valerie was super responsive right away so no problems. I hope to be back, maybe in the winter to watch the storms roll in!
