Situated in Princeville, this charming house for £289 per night is a great option for your next trip. Ailana Hale offers the perfect opportunity to experience life in a lovely, quiet Hawaiian neighborhood. Conveniently located in Princeville, it allows for easy access to the quaint town of Hanalei, along with stunning beaches, scenic hikes, and a variety of water sports. This three-bedroom, three-bath home is surrounded by tropical landscaping and decorated in a fun island style. Great for big families! On the main floor of Ailana Hale, the primary bedroom features a king bed with an en suite bath that has a tile shower and a soaking tub. Also on the main floor, the two guest bedrooms feature a king bed and its shared full bath. Upstairs, a loft with two additional king-size beds also has its own full bath, and its own small office area. This Princeville home provides easy access to renowned north Kauai beaches such as Hanalei Bay and Lumahai. Just a short walk also takes guests to the Queen's Bath tide pools, Hideaways Beach, and the Princeville Makai Golf Club. Only a mile away, Princeville Center offers a grocery store, restaurants, boutiques, a yoga studio, banks, and a gas station. This home offers a window AC unit in the Primary and one of the Guest Bedrooms Downstairs. The third bedroom has a portable AC. The rest of the home including the upstairs loft is NOT air conditioned. The window AC and Portable AC in bedrooms will NOT cool the entire home. Stand Fan in each bedroom and living room is available. Windows and Doors can also be opened to allow the cool trade winds to pass through. Occasionally trade winds may not blow for a few days. The months of June through September tend to have the warmest temperatures. This property is under new ownership and has been updated and rejuvenated for your relaxation and enjoyment! Please note, mandatory mid-stay cleaning is required for stays of 10+ nights. For stays of over 21 nights, two mid-stay cleanings are required. Any mandatory mid-stay cleaning charges will be included in your reservation quote based on your length of stay. Please contact management for more information if needed. Really nice visit! The neighbors were very nice, quiet neighborhood, nice area for evening walks, the house was lovely. Trade winds kept the house plenty cool. Lots of space! We’ll be back!

The house was perfect for what we were expecting. No ocean views, but the hike down to the baths were less then 30 min. Grocery store and restaurants about a mile away. Hanalei was about 5 min drive and is a amazing town. We went in July and the weather was amazing. Fell like you're in the middle of the jungle and forgot about the stress of life. AC's in the rooms made sleeping comfortable every night. The house does get warm in the afternoon, but it's the time of day when we were out exploring.

House does not have AC. It was hot but we were out all day doing activities. Bedrooms have ac window units that we use at night, but some of them make a lot of noise.

Great house for our family to stay in!
We took some of our kids and grandkids for a late summer getaway before school started and we loved staying at this house. The loft space was great for the kids to do their games and things up there, plus they had their own bathroom. The master suite is in the back of the house away from the living room so we had plenty of privacy. My daughter and her husband had a spacious room and their own bathroom as well. We love staying in Princeville so we thought the location was great. Great place for families to stay!

It was so nice to have a home there! The accommodations were exceptional and my family had a great time. The property was fully stocked with all the essentials you’d need for a vacation. All we had to do was buy the food! Can’t wait to come back!Mahalo!

Spacious aging home in an HOA
Termites: There is a reviewer from February of 2018 who complained of termites. The reply from the management was "isolated" and "taken care of". I found the statements of eradication to not be the case. There were exit holes where the colony expels its fecal material both in the kitchen ceiling cupboards and in the front living room window frames. The kitchen was recurrent and moderate. Ironically, the original exit hole had been filled with colored wood patch indicating a lack of workmanship in "repairs", since the plug has no effect on the colony other than to force the construction of a new exit hole along the molding. It also shows knowledge of the management of the issue. Every morning I would wipe up the feces to prevent contact with my food. The front window frame was what I would call, extreme. The feces piled up like an hourglass on the frame and spilled out onto the ground. I didn't do an ice-pick test around other likely areas (e.g. garage door frame) since I was more interested in the wonderful island setting where the house is located. However, termites cause more damage to structures than tenants and management should hire a professional inspection and tent with methyl bromide to protect the owner's investment in the long run.
HOA: Be warned, the resort rules are chafing. I am approaching retirement and my family who stayed in the house are all 30+ years. We weren't there for any loud partying or mischief. But it has been said that home owners associations can perpetuate the worst of democracy. The signage said no parking on roadways, but was interpreted to also prohibit parking on the grass to the side of the narrow on-site driveway to allow an additional car to pass. (Warning No. 1) Then some of the adults were talking and laughing at 10:30 (no music). Suddenly, Warning No. 2. The rule was that we had to contain all sound on our parcel, which is impossible and vague. Sound waves diminish by the inverse square law and it is like asking the ocean waves to stop flowing up the sand.
Airbnb: It feels like the hedge fund boys have bought up the Airbnb business and are interested in only one thing$. During my stay from 12-15-18 through 1-3-19, the State of Hawaii raised its Tax by a fraction of a % effective 1-1-19. But my tenancy was completely paid through the Airbnb portal in Oct. On 12-20, I get a bill for $4.73 from Airbnb that MUST BE PAID by 12-23, a Sunday or they will besmirch my tenant rating. Jeez Happy Xmas

We enjoyed our stay. We were out and about a lot, so really didn’t hang out much at the house, but it was a great house to stay in. The house does get warm in the afternoon to early evenings but other than that it was perfect.

Perfect Kauai vacation house.
This house is great. Love the decor, it really gives you the Hawaiian experience. Very comfortable beds and pillows. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. Loved opening the windows at night to the breezes and sound of the rain. Lots of extras in the garage like beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards and bikes were an added bonus. Convenient location to walk/hike to Queens Bath and Hideaways. Easy drive to Hanalei for beach and food and the Na Pali Catamaran.

Lovey Home w/all the amenities!
The home was very comfortable, had 3 bathrooms, and comfortable sleeping accommodations for 8. And each bed had a memory foam mattress - very cushy! Amenities were complete - down to ice pack you could use in a cooler (that was also provided!). Elite Vacation Rentals staff (Yen!) was very accessible for any questions or activities we had. I'd highly recommend this property!

Perfectly located, spacious, thought-out details!
This is my 3rd trip back to Kauai and my 3rd stay at Iki Nui Hale! It's a wonderful property. Ideal for groups of 6 or less, as the home has three spacious bedrooms and plenty of room to spread out and have your privacy.
Tucked in a pristine and quiet neighborhood location, it's a great oasis after a long day of surfing, hiking or driving. And less than a 10-minute drive from Hanalei Bay, so you're never that far away from a great meal.

Property was nice but has roaches through out.
We loved the physical house it's self. Being a tropical place we expected a few critters in and around the house. We found roaches in almost every room as well as the fridge. The HOA (or just the neighbors) will have a security guard at you door if you make a peep after 10pm, even just sitting in the front room talking, this was very irritating. I tried on multiple occasions to contact our property manager for a late check out , before ,during and on the last day. All I got in response was we may have last minute booking I will get ahold of you to let you know, which never happened. So if a little change is made in customer service I'm sure this would be a 5 star review but sadly I cannot.

Great House!
We stayed at Iki Nui over Thanksgiving. Great house in a great location on the North Shore. Super clean and had everything we needed. We loved the upstairs lanai and loft. 4 king beds. lots of bathrooms. Very close to Queens Bath, but that's pretty treacherous. Other beaches are super close. Local highlights included Tiki Iniki and Bar Acuda for drinks and pupus. Bummed that Bubba Burgers has closed. We can't wait to come back!!

Nice house with fun interior design but it's not maintained well
I wish I could say all the good things as other previous reviewers.
The house is very nice and it's a great size for a big group. I had a family reunion/wedding vacation there over the Christmas Holiday. 3 couples and one toddler.
The first impression was great. It was a good looking house with fun interior designs. Very spacious so it didn't feel so crowded. Neighborhood was very nice and a short walking distance to Queens bath.
On Christmas Eve the dishwasher stopped working and it didn't get fixed till 26th. It was very inconvinient when we mostly cooked at home(most of shops were closed) and plus we were doing a Christmas family dinner at home.
The Garbage diposal stopped working on Christmas Day and it was fixed on 26th.
We tried to have a BBQ dinner one night and we realized the propane gas went out while we had meat on the grill and it ended up ruinning all meat and dinner.
Dishwasher stopped working again one day before our check out date.
There were washer and dryer for our convenience. The washer was super loud and shaky when it's spinning clothes. It vibrates so much it rotates itself to the point the draining hose gets disconnected and spills out the water on the floor. Good thing it was in the garage.
Flies. Many flies. Maybe it's the season or Hawaiian living. We have killed countless files but they kept coming in .
Cockroaches.. big and small.
Kitchen and even on the bed up in the loft.
Most of appliances are outdated and break down easy. But they were very responsive every time I contacted them.
Even though it was picture pretty house and it has pretty much everything, the quality wasnt what I expected.
Worrying about things not working ,breaking down and checking my bed for cockroaches was not what I had in mind or prepared for this vacation.
It was disappointing.

This house has everything!
The homeowners have thought of everything! Plenty of beach towels, bikes, boogie boards, snorkel gear and several pairs of water shoes for guests to use. We slept in the upstairs bedroom and it's incredibly magical with its string of lights and outdoor deck AND the beds are super comfortable! The kitchen is well stocked and the WIFI is fast. Can't wait to return!
