About this house rental
Situated in Key Colony Beach, this lovely house for £175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This unit is perfect for snowbirds seeking a fabulous winter retreat for fishing boating and other activities as well as summer family vacation. The dock is approx. 38’ but can accommodate boats to 50 feet due to the 200’ wide canal. The dock has a fish cleaning table and water and electric. Access to both the Atlantic and Gulf are quick and easy. You can view the Charter Boat catch from the patio. There is a Par 3 9 hole golf course across the street (a round of golf with clubs costs about $13.00). There are free Concerts in the Park (within walking distance) and the island has 3 restaurants all within walking distance. There are Biking/walking paths, tennis courts and bocce and a playground. Women enjoy Ma Jong and Bridge at the Yacht Club (membership not required). Boating, diving and snorkeling are first rate. We have the widest Canal view with a lovely canal walking path for leisure and socializing. Key Colony Beach is on an island in the Heart of the Florida Keys (mile marker 53.5 on US highway 1). The city, called the “Gem of the Florida Keys” is just south of the Overseas Highway connected via a causeway with a very small bridge. Rainy week at beach. Spent a lot of time doing puzzles & playing cards. Beautiful location with a fishing dock in front of screened porch. Every type of cooking utensil provided & most importantly a Keurig coffee maker. Good WIFI connection. Overall, a wonderful vacation location.

Property was clean and well stocked with cooking utensils. Quiet area, yet convenient to get to shopping areas and take a day trip to Key West. Property manager was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Great place to stay for a couple or a small family of 3 or 4. Not sure how it would work out with two couples though because of the floor plan. But overall we had a amazing time with our one week here. Great fishing along the docks and a place to dock your boat if you bring one or rent one. The cabana club was a super bonus, we spent a whole day and a half there. There is a great salt water pool and a nice little beach if you want to swim in the ocean. There is a bar and restaurant on site so you can relax and have your drinks and food brought to you. My wife and I had no plans while we were there, we did sand bar tour out of Islamorada which was super fun. It had the most amazing reef for snorkeling, we saw turtles and manarays with huge coral structure with all kinds of beautiful life. We ate at many restaurant's all over, lots of disappointments. But sparkys landing was one of the best and it's right near the house. They have a great happy hour with drinks and food, cheap chicken wings and boiled shrimp. You can't beat it, amazing water view also. Key west is a little bit over a hour drive, we went there twice over our stay. The second time was more enjoyable we went to Dantes and relaxed at the pool with drinks and food and we went on a sandbar tour with Fury. They took us to a island for kayaking and hanging out on a sandbar with a sunset cruise, which was absolutely amazing. Overall it was a amazing experience for my wife and I, we have never been to the keys before but we will definitely be back. Such a beautiful and fun place and with the house, I would give 9 out of 10 stars for us. Shout out to the lady couple next door! Yall were awesome thanks for everything! And I hope you keep the cabana club membership because that is a huge plus and a deal breaker! Thanks so much, Dan and kayla!

Perfect for Fishing
My husband and I stayed here 6/18-6/25. It was perfect for us. The area is nice and quite. If you love to fish this is the place to be! We kept our boat at the dock. We caught Mahi, grouper and snapper. The location is great for fishing or if you just want to hangout at the sandbar. Robert is a great and responds quick to any questions you might have. Definitely recommend staying here.

Family Keys trip
Property: very basic 2br/2b home. Property is attached to another home. Layout is quirky, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. It wasn’t an issue for us and our family of 3 but maybe if staying with another couple. Overall it was clean. Unit itself showed age, but i felt that was reflected in the rental price. And price was very fair. It doesn’t include beach towels or umbrellas. So that was kind of a hassle to bring our own and rent. However bath towels included. If you fish, the property seems very well suited. Property includes cable and wireless internet which worked very well.
Area: parking was easy and location is well suited to visit all over the keys. Only 10min from grocery stores. Dollar tree in town was perfect for grabbing cheap essentials and beach toys. We only visited the cabana pool once but very nice. Everyone in colony keys was so friendly and nice. Community felt very safe.
Owner: unit is rented from owner not managed. Rules were a little quirky but I think that stems from the town’s association. Robert was very accessible by phone and text and helped answer all our questions.
Overall this was an excellent stay and we would definitely return! The unit itself is more basic in comparison to others in the area, but rental price much lower. This allowed us to spend more on family activities in the area, which we preferred. Highly recommend!

We had a great time catching Grouper, Wahoo, Mahi, and some lobster. The rental was a great staging point for getting onto the water. There is a huge group of manatee that frequent the docks and the neighbors were all friendly.

This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. House was clean, has washer and dryer, dish washer, large bedrooms and comfortable living room with cable and internet. It has a beautiful dock with manatee that visit, it’s a quiet/safe neighborhood with lots of places to walk and exercise. We also had access to a pool with a private beach. We stayed a week and my family and I loved it here.

This place was perfect for my family. It is exactly as listed and portrayed in pictures. It was wonderful Having the boat dock right out the back door. Neighbors on both sides were very friendly and helpful on local information.

Anniversary Fishing Trip
Very clean property, like new. Fish freezer was useful, never used the grill, but it was there - too hot in July. Drain in the front bathroom backed up and the owner had someone out there to assess quickly. Very responsive!
Area had a few grest restaurants, masks were worn, covid makes things crazy but we'll go back post-pan.

Great Place to Stay Highly Recommend
This is a great duplex with a fantastic dock right out back. The interior is clean as a whistle with all of the linens, fixtures and appliances in pretty close to brand new condition. The central A/C works great and the TV and wireless sets right up. The back porch puts you right on the dock with a great cleaning table, water and night lights. Great Boardwalk right out back. Very quiet and safe at night. Great peaceful place to relax. There are a family of manatee in the canal that come over to visit when you are washing your boat, they are very friendly and amazing to see up close.
The owner (Bob) is a good man and returns your calls right away and he keeps the place in great condition. There are ample utensils and cookware in the kitchen. Golf course is across the street in front of the place. The Inn at the end of the street has great food.
Will go back again. :)

Navy Family
Once again we had an amazing revisit to this awesome place. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, clean, and comfortable place to stay this is the one. The owner is responsible and such a great person to book with. He even remembered us from two years ago and called to see how things were going during our trip. Even though we have never met in person he makes you feel like family and is so accommodating. Thanks again Bob for making our return trip spectacular and allowing us to create more memories with our son on his military leave. We are already taking about returning next year..

Unbeatable location
Our week long "guy trip" over mini-season usually takes place in Lower Matecumbe, but that fell through and we scrambled to find alternative accommodations. Someone recommended Bob's place to us, and how fortunate we were! It is clean, well-maintained, and highly functional. Nothing fancy, but everything you need, and the location in KCB is wonderful. It is central to everything in the water and on land, and has a real "community" feel that I have not found too often in the Keys. Bob was a pleasure to deal with - always responsive to questions we had before and during our stay. Overall, it was a great experience!

Awesome Place, Great Owner!
We just wrapped up a week long stay at Robert's place. It was an awesome place to call "home" for the week! We really enjoy the Key Colony location, as it is a great "centrally located" spot to explore all the Keys have to offer. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed fishing (and catching) from the dock and seeing the resident manatee a few times. The home was comfortable, updated, and had everything we needed to make some great memories.
Robert is very accommodating, extremely responsive, and easy to work with. We will most definitely be staying at his home next summer for vacation again.
