About this cottage rental
Nestled in Crescent City, this charming cottage for £124 per night is a great option for your next break. This late 40's home has a newly remodeled interior with two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. There is also a Queen futon. Dinning room with seating for 4, cook wear, dishes, linens, internet and smart tv, everything you will need to make your stay comfortable, including a washer and dryer. We do allow approved well behaved, house trained dogs up to 2 (must be crated if left in house unattended). We do not allow cats. You can view the ocean and amazing sun sets from the sitting porch after your day of exploring.

It was a wonderful little house that was in a great loaction. It was well stocked with eveything you might need for a day at the beach. Very dog friendly. It was a great place to stay for the weekend.

Macy was a very communicative host. Some wildfires nearby closed a highway the day before, which we didn't know about, and she called us and offered to refund our stay if we needed to cancel. We ended up coming anyway, but really appreciated the heads up on travel. The location is excellent proximity to Jedediah Smith State Park. 15 minutes and you're in some beautiful trees and have access to amazing hikes. The house was perfectly clean, cozy and had everything you might need for a short or long stay.

The house was incredibly inviting. Beautifully decorated, without knickknacks, ocean decor. Beautiful curtains that look new, recently painted walls with great colors, numerous bathroom towels & washcloths artfully rolled and displayed in baskets and wooden shelves, well stocked kitchen, coffee Krueger, wide assortment of teas, flavored teas, welcome card, cold beer and cold glasses. Very clean, tile floors, plenty of hot water, excellent location close to beach, could hear sea lions, smell the sea air, beach portable barbecue grill, coolers, lovely bedspreads, attractive patio furniture, basket of dog toys, poop bags, & dog , big sheets, big side & front lawn , plenty of parking, new tub and shower, dog crate , child’s play & pack in closet, new windows with screens, porch, outside lights. Couch, rocking chair futon that serves as an additional couch. Hosts were communicative & even called us to tell us that the highway was closed due to fires. These hosts obviously want to provide a cozy warm house for their guests. We are grateful that we could stay there and recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. The Redwoods were close to go explore via car. We also enjoyed the sunset at the beach. It’s windy but beautiful.

The house was everything we needed! Close to all the activities we had planned! Loved that I could walk to the beach and see the sunset every night! The house had all the amenities necessary including beach towels and a cooler! We especially loved the welcome gift of the local IPA! Things we would have liked would be ceiling fans and more plugs in the bedrooms and throughout. But overall, we were pleased!!! Thank you.

We spent time in the Redwood Forest and the pacific ocean. Great location to do both easily. The neighborhood celebrates the 4th of July with lots of passion, fireworks and block parties.

Came here for an epic bike ride that got canceled due to “bomb cyclone”. Hunkered down in this awesome property that was a few blocks from the ocean view of turbulent stormy sea! Never lost power and the house was amazing despite the gail force wind. Communication with the host was above and beyond what I expected. Had no issues with the neighborhood. Would come again and probably will!

We stayed at the beach house for Christmas. The house was clean, cozy, and comfortable. There was even a small Christmas tree and a local beer for us to enjoy when we arrived. You can hear and see the ocean from the house. We had everything we needed to have a nice visit with our daughter and grandson who live close by and enjoy coming to the coast. A Very quick one block walk to the beach and the view of the lighthouse is gorgeous. The whole area is very nice. We enjoyed going to the House of Jambalaya for “the night before the night before Christmas” event, there was live music, good food, and storytelling. We wished we could have stayed longer and look forward to returning to the beach house in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at this great little beach cottage. It was immaculately clean and was a 5 min walk to the beach (you can see it from the porch). We were able to bring our dog, which was a huge plus for us. The home is also walking distance from a lot of great restaurants and breweries and parks; and was also only a 15 min drive to the start of the redwoods park, which made it so that it was a quick trip to get to everything fun/all the day time activities and still able to return to a cozy spot at the end of the day. We would definitely stay again! The wine in the fridge as a thank you was also a really sweet touch! Thanks for having us! :)

This was one of our easiest rentals. It was simple, clean, the location is ideal. We went to the beach almost every day after we got home from touring redwoods. The house, the beach, the redwoods it was just a perfect combination. Oh! And there’s a cheese factory just a few blocks away with an outlet store of all things. It was such fun – and good cheese!

Property is an old home in an old neighborhood. It had been nicely updated and had everything you need to stay. Neighborhood was a little sketchy but never had any problems. Overall had a nice stay.

Wry comfortable cottage. Fully stocked with very thoughtful extras I don’t normally see in vacation rentals like a doggie basket full of blankets, toys and poop bags, variety of hot beverages, even some lovely chilled wine in the fridge! Excellent location, walk to the beach and a short car ride into the rewoods. Crescent city is a not what you’d expect from a coastal Californian town but there are some great sites to explore. Both my boys loved it (15 & 10 yrs). Haven’t had a complaint free vacation a while. It was great to have two twin beds for them and they really appreciated the awesome film selections to unwind with at the end of the day. Thank you Kitty!!!

This is a cute, small 2 bedroom house with a good kitchen, laundry, dining room and living room. Lot's of windows provide plenty of light and it is two blocks from the ocean and a short walk to the lighthouse and other coastal attractions. The kitchen is well equipped and the house is very quiet and comfortable. We definitely would stay there again.

Our family enjoyed our recent stay at this cozy home in Crescent City. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed how close the location was to downtown Crescent City for dinner and the ability to walk down to the beach. It's not far to Jedidiah Smith to explore the Redwoods or down to Prairie Creek for more Redwoods and the Trees of Mystery which were a big hit with the kids. If you're visiting the area, I highly recommend staying here!

I belong at the beach
This house was perfect, clean well organized, had beach toys I could take with me to meet grandkids since I forgot to pack the ones I bought. Great sunset views from the front porch,,,, will defiantly stay there again. The host was very quick to respond and great to work with.

A 4-day stay
We felt very welcome and the house is well stocked. The only thing we really had an issue with was there were ants in the bed that was on the floor.

Everything with the house was really well done. Besides being a perfect home base for the beaches and Redwoods, the house was clean and communication with the host was great. Had everything we needed. A really perfect stay for out family of 5.

Great location, clean, and comfortable.
I recommend this property if you find yourself heased to Crescent City, CA. It was in a lovely quiet neighborhood close to the beach. I'm so glad we chose this instead of a hotel! The kitchen had everything we needed, there was plenty of space for all 6 of us, and the hosts made everything easy from check in to check out.
The only note I might offer when considering this house, is that the front and back steps are steep for people that are older or have bad knees. My 70 y/o mother in law struggled with them a bit but did okay with help.
However it is still a five star place and is great for families. We had to travel with our old grumpy dog, and we're grateful that we were allowed have him there. He enjoyed the extra blankets and dog dishes the hosts provided for him.
Overall a very enjoyable stay!
