Spacious and well appointed contemporary home on private wooded lot; outdoor hot tub off spacious deck; screened-in porch; lake privleges. Broadband Wireless Internet & New Stereo with Ipod dock. Air Conditioning on main floor only. OLD TIMBERLINE - A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards. Perfect house for skiing group, enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing and kitchen was nicely stocked. Would stay again. Great location for Timberline and Canaan.

For this property we really enjoyed the open kitchen, living, and dining area adjacent to the side deck doors. We also loved the master bath with its jet tub, sauna, and walk in shower. All staff were pleasent and professional

We loved that we had lake access as part of the gated community with canoes and kayaks at out disposal. Friendly and helpful staff each time we called.

We loved Mountainside 86! Canaan Valley is becoming our default getaway and we have made it a yearly tradition to rent a house with Mountaintop Reality in the fall to enjoy the beautiful foliage of Tucker County. We also plan to stay with you all at other times of the year and have recommended you to our friends and family. It's a perfect getaway in West Virginia's hidden gem! They were great! Very informative and helpful!

But that was fine, we stayed at a cabin called the “dancing bears” and loved it! It was perfect for us. The check out rules weren’t easy to find, so I hung a sheet of them on the fridge. But I really can’t complain, we had a great stay. It’s in the Canann Valley area & it’s a beautiful home! Hot tub was nice and usable as well & very clean!

Not ready for prime time
This rental was not ready to be rented and property manager wasn't prepared to manage.
The first incident was a complete mishandling of the Wi-Fi code. After two days of trying, I figured it out on my own.
The second set of surprises related to the lights. It seemed half of them didn't work, including in some very dark bathrooms.
The third challenge was the driveway, which in addition to a very steep incline had potholes and gullies. I told the property manager that the driveway was not usable and she said she would pass it along. After getting a flat tire and having the sensors to my car damaged, I was forced to park on the street.
Fourth, the review feature of this property didn't work the first time.
Net, net: MountainTop was as much as the problem here as the owner. Buyer beware.

Roomy, clean and well kept, have zero complaints and would stay again!!! House was well layed out for a larger group and everyone enjoyed it!!
