About this house rental
Situated in Hamlin Lake, this attractive house for £327 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. LUDINGTON HIDEAWAY-HAMLIN LAKE is located in a quiet residential area on Hamlin Lake about 5 miles north from downtown Ludington. We are just a quick 5 minutes boat ride to the State Park sand dunes. This home is perfect if you are looking to slow down and take a break. The newly enlarged covered deck overlooking the lake offers a great spot to relax and just unwind. Your day can consist of catching some rays and swimming off the dock or fishing is always an option. In the evening, light a bonfire, roast marshmallows and look for the big dipper. To make the accommodations comfortable for you, we have provided everything you should need for your stay. The kitchen has everything you need to create some fantastic meals, you can relax in one of the two living rooms which are furnished with comfortable furniture and flat screen TV's with YouTube Tv. We have 3 bedrooms which include freshly laundered sheets and blankets for your comfort. The new renovated bathroom is stocked with shampoo/conditioner, Dove body wash, bath & hand towels, wash clothes and makeup towels. We offer dining for 6 in the dining room, 3 stools at the bar in the kitchen and outdoor seating on the deck. We have added 4 anti-gravity lounge chairs with tables on the deck . A gas grill is provided along with one propane tank and grilling utensils. Kitchen includes Keurig, tea kettle, coffee maker, blender, mixer and more other items. An array of pantry items and sundry items are also provided. Please Note--Our home does not have central air conditioning. We do provide stand fans in each room and the upstairs bedrooms also have window fans Usually, there is a breeze off the lake which cools the home. We strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience and do our best to accommodate requests. We will personally meet you when you arrive to welcome you to our lake home along with having fresh baked treats ready for you. Our rental week during Memorial Day to Labor Day is Saturday to Saturday with a 7-night stay requirement. A deposit will hold your reservation. We require 50% deposit with balance due 30 days prior to arrival. We do require a rental agreement to be signed when deposit it made. Marta will forward rental agreement for review and signature via email. In reviewing our calendar, if your dates do not appear available or you have questions, please contact me to discuss. I also have several other homes in the Hamlin Lake area which may be available for your dates or if you need additional space. We do make exceptions for stays shorter during our off-season. We value all our guests! We are personally available at all times to address any issues that may arise or recommendations you may need. Dog Friendly: We are dog friendly to one family dog. We do charge a $150.00 pet fee, $150.00 refundable deposit and a pet agreement must be executed. Please advise Marta at the time you make your reservation if you wish to bring your dog. Prior arrangements are required. No other pets are allowed. Minimum Age Limit for Renters: We are not able to rent to vacationing students or singles under the age of 24 unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. Fall Disclaimer: Due to the unforeseen weather conditions after Labor Day, the docks, kayaks, gas grill and lawn/patio furniture will be stored for the winter. If weather permits, we may leave leave these items available for you during your stay.. We are a non-smoking home. Please honor our request. This place was fabulous, clean, stocked with essentially everything you need! The lawn was large and fairly private-bring your lawn games there is plenty of room. The house has air conditioning AND lots of fans. It was very comfortable and Marta was never far away-she lives around the corner if you need anything! There was really no beach. There is a seawall and the water is probably 3ish feet deep with a bit of scuzzy seaweed on the bottom. There are nice steps off the dock but no place for little ones to play if you have small kids-it’s quite a drop. The fishing off the dock is hit or miss, you probably won’t catch dinner off the dock. Otherwise the lake is huge-clean-and fairly shallow. We had fun kayaking but the lake can get choppy and rough quickly. The weather was also really different depending how far you were from Lake Michigan-the weather apps don’t predict well there. We had a great time otherwise even with dicey weather! The place is huge and really nice.

We enjoyed all the details that the home had to offer.
The location was close to many attractions. Nice neighborhood on a quiet road. very spacious in the common areas to gather as well as the master bedroom. Two living room areas were great. The kitchen was well stocked with all that you would need to cook and store leftovers. It was nice to have a washer and dryer there. The bathroom had lots of towels.
We enjoyed the outside,too.The back porch was a very large area to eat, sit and bbq. Ideal to hang out for a long period of time. The yard was well maintained and you can play outdoor games there. Sit on the dock… watch the sun set. A lovely vacation

Excellent vacation getaway
Excellent lake house that is immaculately kept. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the house, the thoughtfulness of the host (She provided cookies upon arrival and even brought cinnamon rolls one morning.), and the set up of the house. Everything was provided for, down to dog bowls and a mat for our dog. Great experience. We’ll be back.

Perfect vacation home
This beautiful home was clean, well stocked and had everything my wife and I needed. Marta's attention to detail is amazing, right down to the fireplug in the doggie potty area which I thought was very fun and clever. All kitchenware, bathroom needs, towels, you name it, were on site. We enjoyed the yard, the fire pit and being able to fish right off the dock. Would definitely stay here again, perhaps next year to once again see the beautiful Michigan fall colors.

HIDEAWAY HEAVEN
We would give more than 5 stars if the survey went higher. The home is beautiful and well-stocked. We love to cook and everything we needed was there. Marta even supplied fresh honey crisp apples, freshly baked brownies, and a lovely bottle of wine to welcome us. Marta is super-friendly and gracious along with responsive and helpful. The location is perfect and the views are spectacular. We've been vacationing in Ludington for years and this property is in a class by itself. We didn't want to leave. Ever. Thank you Marta for everything and making our vacation absolutely perfect.

Marta was truly amazing to work with, and the house was more than we hoped for. Marta has paid attention to every detail so we felt instantly at home (the brownies certainly didn’t hurt!). We had everything we needed and more- she even brought by picnic blankets because we mentioned we left ours at home. I would book this home again anytime. In fact, I’ve already shared the listing with multiple friends. Thank you Marta for providing a safe haven for us to get away for a long weekend! We hope to come back in 2021!

Great stay!
The house is updated and very clean. Everything is properly noted and directed. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. Checking in was a breeze. Marta's cookies are delicious! The location is just a short 10 minute drive from Downtown Ludington, 30 minutes away from Silver Lake Dunes, and 5 minutes away from Lincoln Hills Golf Course. The house comes with EVERYTHING and it's all new. We never cooked since it was a short stay but the house is well stocked. The silverware, dishes, pots and pans are all new. Some spices and oils, kids cups and dishes, tupperware, reusable water bottles, a Keurig, and drip coffee maker are all provided. There is even a mini fridge! Honestly, this is probably the best cottage we've ever stayed in because of how well it was stocked. We're already planing on coming back next year.

Beat family vacation we’ve ever had!
Everything was just wonderful. Marta thinks of everything and her attention to detail and cleanliness is really impressive. The linens were wonderful and the comfy beds were made hotel style. We loved the selection of board games and puzzles and I spent many an evening reading on the window seat! We experienced a heat wave while we were there and while we definitely missed our central a/c back home, we were able to sleep just fine at night with numerous fans. The sand dunes were our favorite part and the marina a few doors down were great to work with. We loved having a boat everyday to fish and swim. This was our first experience with Vrbo/Airbnb and I’m after Marta has ruined all other hosts for us! I don’t think anyone will live up to her standard! We will definitely be back-it was magical!

This was a great location. Quiet, paved roads for running and biking. It was easy to launch kayaks from the dock. Short drive to downtown Ludington and Ludington State Park.

Sewage was backing up
No dock, no boats, unsecured doors at check in, had to wait for the landlady to show up. Backyard smelled of sewage due to a full tank.

Fall Family Getaway
This was a fantastic home away from home for a long weekend away with our family!
Marta had EVERYTHING we needed...even a couple things we forgot! She was a quick text/phone call away and even greeted us with fresh baked cookies which was such a welcoming treat!
I highly recommended staying here or any other property Mike and Marta own. Marta even went as far as mailing a couple items we left behind!
We cant wait to book our next vacation with them.

Wonderful property!!
We’ve rented other places on Hamlin over the years, and this is one of the best! Marta has done a fantastic job decorating the home and stocking it with all the necessities. The yard is perfect for playing games, and having a fire in the fire pit. And we loved sitting out by the water to watch the boats and wildlife, including an adorable family of otters, which was a completely unexpected surprise 😊�. Looking forward to staying again!!

This is the best stocked and decorated home we have stayed in to date from Florida thru NC and Virginia and up to Michigan. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. I now have Tupperware envy.

Hamlin Hideaway
We had a great time in Ludington. Although the weather wasn’t as warm as we would have liked to be able to swim, we still enjoyed the lake out our back door and all that Ludington had to offer.

Beautiful lakefront home
We had a wonderful time staying at the Hamlin Hideaway! Beautiful view of the lake from both the kitchen and the family room. We visited in the winter and the whole house was plenty warm with very comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen supplies. Marta was very attentive even though she was out of town. Short drive into town, and we stayed over New Years and got to watch the ball drop in downtown Ludington! Excellent relaxing winter vacation home. Highly recommend!!

Very cozy cottage on Lake Hamlin, loved the town of Ludington, very quaint with decent pubs and restaurants. Stayed a week to relax and do some hunting in the area. Would love to return. Lake Michigan is beautiful.

The Ludington Hideaway is the perfect place to get away and unwind. Marta, the owner, is very responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. Her house is really a home. It has a welcoming atmosphere and is very comfortable. It is well-stocked and has pretty much everything you will need during your stay. It is also in a great location that is close to everything. We really enjoyed staying here and look forward to coming back!
