Located in Holualoa, this charming condo for £122 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. vrKCV - Kona Makai 6204, Professionally Managed by Kona Coast Vacations. Kona Makai is a beautiful oceanfront complex with well-maintained gardens, a swimming pool, hot tub, gas barbeques, covered parking and 2 tennis courts. The complex is close to town and within minutes to beaches. Kona Makai is a gated community with open parking and night time security. This island-styled one bedroom condo features a large lanai area for outdoor dining, perfect for taking in the ocean views while enjoying that delicious cup of Kona coffee! Located on the 2nd floor, ocean views can also be found from the bedroom which allows you to hear and watch the waves on the lava shores at the Kona Makai. **The living area is equipped with a window AC with a 4-hour timer, ceiling fan and a sofa sleeper. The kitchen is equipped & includes a washer/dryer for your convenience. The bedroom offers a King bed, ceiling fan and a window AC unit that is equipped with a 4-hour timer as well. **CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Spalling Repairs may begin July 2024. Work will take place M-F: 8AM - 5PM.This will involve work from ladders, pump jacks, scaffolds, extending boom lift and the use of grinders, chipping hammers, and tarps in some areas. Minimum stay varies seasonally 4 -10 nights. This is a non-smoking, no pets unit. $10 daily additional person fee applies to occupants over the standard occupancy of 2 guests. TA: 095-875-4816-01. This was a nice rental. Location is ideal. It has air-conditioning in two rooms which is nice. We did have a few issues for maintenance which were dealt with by the maintenance company quite quickly. Only drawback to this place are: the morning light in the master bedroom is very bright, and there’s no curtains or ability to make the room dark in the mornings. The bed needs to have a replaced mattress and or frame or both. No condiments or other items for cooking so it’s less convenient then other places. Only salt and pepper. Pool closes at 9. Thank you

We cannot fault out unit or stay. The Unit was exactly as described and was very large for a single bedroom apartment. Kitchen, Laundry and Bathroom all fresh and modern. The view from the balcony, and sunsets from the Pool deck, Just next level. The gardens, and complex were meticulously maintained. So peaceful, and made for a very enjoyable stay in Kona, Hi.

We had a wonderful stay at this property, and it was just as described or even better! Everything went smoothly, and had no issues. The location is fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the waves. Would definitely stay here again!

We love this complex. This condo was very nicely decorated and very clean. Small issue with the toilet was resolved within hours. Great communication with the rental company. Condo was nicely furnished we had everything we needed to make our meals. This area is very quiet. Highly recommend!

The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the views are stunning (even better than the photos), and the pool and spa were great! It is a very quiet complex, so it made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. everything was perfect. the location is excellent. the apartment was so tidy and had everything we needed. property maintenance was all over always cleaning or fixing something. very well cared for grounds. we also slept very comfortably even with the four hour a/c timer

This is a sweet older condo in a building with a lovely view and nice, established grounds. I really liked the artwork in the unit and appreciated the large bed and newer bedding. The island was out of cars the entire time I was in Hawaii and ride share and taxis were virtually nonexistent. The property management company tried to help me out getting in early, but it was hard to get a straight answer from them and they were pretty inflexible with respect to letting me in to drop off bags until they had replaced a chair, which didn't seem proportionate to the unusual circumstances travelers are facing in Hawaii right now. They finally let me in at 1pm and replaced the chair after the fact but that was after extensive communications. When I checked in I encountered an overwhelming odor of synthetic fragrance- as if Glade had been poured everywhere and all over the counters and bedding and the chairs and furniture. I immediately washed all of the bedding and mopped the floors by hand and washed all of the counters with soap. The smell remained. (there were a number of damaged areas in the condo, but that was to be expected given the age of the place). Their solution was to send the cleaners back (who agreed that the place smelled horribly of grandma perfume) and they mopped with bleach. The company also provided a fan. I covered all of the furniture with sheets, replaced the bedding, and tried to sleep. In the morning it still smelled. The company charged me for one night and VRBO charged me too, so all in all I spent over $250 for hours of cleaning and one bad night of sleep. I didn't have a chance to experience the pool or the other amenities and ended up leaving early and ending my trip to Hawaii since i couldn't find lodging at a comparable price. So, all in all, I was really disappointed with the outcome and the experience. The cleaning folks were very kind and tried to do their best to mitigate, but the company should have taken more accountability for renting out a place that was so toxic. Won't return if this is still the company managing the place.

Great location and amenities
The apartment is in a great location, was very clean, and the view from the deck is wonderful. The kitchen basically has everything you need, and it is really nice having a washer and dryer. The only issues we had was trying to get a key to the tennis courts (which are locked), but once the office opened, we were able to get a key and the tennis courts are wonderful and essentially brand new. We would be happy to stay here again!
