The views and pool were unparalleled for our multi-generational trip. Bruce and Bianca made logistics easy, and it was really amazing to set up extras like a boat ride, private chef dinners, massages, and a day trip to town, all through the onsite staff! Our kids were obsessed with the well mannered dogs and cats roaming the property.
Definitely take advantage of pizza night, and the onsite clay oven!
The property was secluded and beautiful, just note that it's far away from everything. This was also our group's first time in an open-air villa: we loved it!..but make sure to use the mosquito nets properly at night!
5/5 for us! Thank you Bruce and team!

Our whole family loved Fuego Del Mar. The house is amazing and spread out so we all had our own space. It's a beautiful spot to relax--the spa was great. Bruce and Nikki are fantastic hosts, Rosa's cooking is SO GOOD and the staff on the property very helpful and accommodating. We loved it.

Our group chose Roatan as our travel destination, and after evaluating several properties, we ultimately decided to stay at Fuego Del Mar.
On arrival, we were promptly met at the airport by our driver Derik who helped us with our luggage and then escorted us to the largest grocery store on the island so that we could stock up on supplies and complete our shopping list for our first night meal. We had asked for assistance with meals and Rosa and her staff did not disappoint with the best meal we could have imagined of snapper and lobster tails that were prepared for us as we unpacked and relaxed in the beautiful pool that overlooked the reef.
The house is secluded and in Roatan, that means you are in the jungle. You can't see another house that is not on the compound so you are really experiencing Roatan as your own secluded island paradise.
The house is designed for entertaining large groups of people. The rooms are spread out so you don't feel like you are on top of other guests and each has an on-suite bathroom, A/C, and room safe.
We spent our week traveling with Derik driving us from the west end of the island to the East and our time spent with him learning about the Island was incredible!
We concluded our week with Pizza and cocktails with Bruce and Nikki! I must say that texts and emails could not fully capture the charm and warmth that he and his lovely wife exuded as gracious hosts in their stunning property. Book Fuego Del Mar with confidence and enjoy!!!

We had a party of 6, for a 50 birthday party.
Everything was more than I can imagine. Rosa and Happy are the best cooks on the island.
The driver/boat captain, Derik, very knowledge about everything on the island and he knows everyone.
Phil, property manager was always available for questions.
Fuego Del Mar was beautiful. The views, the outside shower, and the pool. This was one of the best vacations. We will definitely be back.

For our second time at this property, it continues to be one of our favorite vacation destinations!
While the sand flies were determined to get us, we were more so to enjoy ourselves!! (Psa: white vinegar saves the day for the bites and the sunburns.)
With the van at our disposal, we love exploring the island, going to the grocery when we need to, and finding all the best beaches and lunch spots.
Rosa and Roxana made the most delicious dinners each night-leaving us full as ticks and moving like sloths!! It’s so nice to be able to relax and not have to get out of the pool to prep and cook dinner- and after you buy the food needed for the first night’s meal, Rosa will buy the necessary groceries for the rest of the meals!! She earned her tip, and then some!!
Phil, Fausto and the grounds crew were so attentive without being intrusive. They were quick to get us anything we needed.
We love getting to visit with Bruce and family at pizza night out under the pavilion in front of the pizza oven.
Camp Bay beach was beautiful and wide open- with either a short boat ride or 20 minute drive.
Having no schedule or place to be, and no TV for a week is my favorite type of vacation.
We will be back!!

Selfishly, I wish we could keep Fuego Del Mar a secret so that others can't book it when we want to go back. The house is stunning, the staff is amazing, and the amenities (boat, car, kayaks, etc) are incredible. Although the photos are beautiful, they don't do the house justice. This is truly a very special place. Bruce and Phillipe and their staff made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. As Phillipe predicted, we wish we had stayed longer. I can't imagine there's a more beautiful and better managed estate on Roatan than this one.

We spent the first week at another house on this property, and then the second week at Fuego Del Mar. It was beautiful. The view from the deck was unmatched. The staff was friendly and helpful. People should know that most of this house is open air. We thought it was lovely, and bugs were really not much of a problem. The bedrooms could be closed off and had air conditioning so we were always comfortable. We enjoyed the properties' cats and dogs wandering over to say hello. We had 8 of us staying there. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We rented the treehouse (an add-on room that is available) when our nephew decided to come join us for a few days. It was a great property and we would definitely stay there again.

We had such an excellent time here. We are a group of friends, in our 30’s, and we had the best time here. The staff that manages the property takes care of every detail. The house itself is incredible. We enjoyed the option to use a care to explore the island ourselves AND the option of a driver. Perfect combo. They also helped us arrange scuba and snorkeling, golf, and a day on the boat with Capitan Dan. Dinner and pizza by Rosa was excellent l, best meals of our trip! Thank you to the entire team at the vilas for making our stay perfect.

Stayed at fuego Del Mar with 9 girlfriends for my 40th birthday and it was the trip of a lifetime. From the cooking, to the massages, to boat trips and snorkeling, to the staff attention, we all loved this villa. It was spacious yet felt connected. Everyone could gather for dinner together at the centralized large table and then wake up and drink coffee and read a book quietly in a nook somewhere the next morning. I would stay here again AND I would recommend it for anyone from families to groups of friends. You’ll love this spot!!

My family of 9 adults had a fantastic time staying at Fuego del Mar for 10 days at the end of April. Fuego is such a special and beautiful place. Phil was a wonderful host and always available to answer our many questions and help us. We used Raul several times to drive us places and he was always available with very little notice. Rosa made us a few meals and that was a nice treat. All of the guys that work on the property were helpful and very kind. We felt extremely safe and well cared for. Many of us were there scuba diving many of the mornings, and we were able to be picked up by subway watersports at our dock and taken out for our dives. Such amazing service. We also had a great trip to Jade Beach with Captain Dan. He was great, very knowledgeable and even drove us through the mangroves on the way home. We also snorkled off the dock several times during the week and got a chance to snorkle and kayak the reef right in front of the house. I could go on and on, we will hopefully be back soon!

With so many options out there, we were very pleased with our experience on property. We chose the right place! The team was available for anything we needed to make our trip outstanding! Our trip will be forever remembered and look forward visiting again. Thank you!

Pros: Rosa and daughter, use them for every single meal. Pool is beautiful. Phil and Bruce are super responsive. Spa is lovely, boating with captn Dan was amazing. Sun exposure basically all day. Huge property. So many bathrooms. Hook game is days of fun as are card games. Kayaks and snorkel gear great. Lots of water and ice.
Cons: bring a speaker. AC was good in the small rooms finicky in master. Wi-Fi only works at kitchen table and in tower room.

Amazing property. Has everything to make the stay feel like a home away from home. Even pets.

I literally can't think of enough glowing adjectives to accurately describe our stay at Fuego Del Mar this month - or even where to start! From the moment we stepped on the property it was paradise. The grounds are lush and beautifully manicured. The home itself is open concept in the middle, bringing the outside in so you can fully enjoy the breezes and sounds of the ocean, birds, etc. The bedrooms are enclosed and on the outer edges of the main living space so there is plenty of privacy. The furnishings are beautiful and well designed, with an eclectic theme that has an island feel but also a bit of Bali or Thailand with some beautiful antiques and pieces of art that give a very tranquil feel to the entire place. The kitchen is a cooks dream - spacious with loads of counter space, viking appliances, and beautiful dishes handmade by Nicki one of the owners. Speaking of the owners - Bruce and Nicki, along with their son Phil were simply fantastic and made us feel welcome instantly. The photos don't do this place justice, especially the pool and views which made us never want to leave! My husband said "this is hand's down the best place we've ever stayed" and he's right! I had a pedicure and massage at the onsite spa and both were fantastic and the girls were very friendly. We also booked the boat to Jade Beach (on a neighboring island) through Phil and got taken out by Captain Hanford who was very knowledgeable about the island and a fun guy to spend the day with. Jade Beach was incredible and if you stay on Roatan and have a chance to go - take it! Another perk of Fuego Del Mar is that it includes a car with your stay at no extra charge - which made things very easy for us since they picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. The staff at Fuego Del Mar is friendly and professional and always there when you need something but you'll never see them if you don't. We felt very safe there and so well taken care of too! Some things to consider before you book: The only air conditioning is in the bedrooms, the rest of the house is wide open. If you absolutely must have AC or a sterile bug & gecko free environment then you may find this house frustrating and should stay elsewhere. Also cats and dogs are onsite and freely visit the house to hang out with you - we found that absolutely charming, but if that bothers you then seek out something more enclosed and insular. You'd be missing out on an amazing vacation experience though!

WOW! - seems like the best place to begin! We had the pleasure of renting the entire property of Villas del Mar for our group of 22. We trek annually to a different tropical retreat, and with a group this size it can be difficult to find properties to accommodate - but we hit the jackpot with this one! The entire staff catered to our every whim - from picking us to the airport (different itineraries, mind you), to going to the grocery store, to bringing up ice to the pools, to taking kayaks and paddle boards (boards rented by us, kayaks included) down to the docks - there is nothing we left wanting for! We hired Rosa and Pearl make most of our meals for us, and this is a must; this leaves your days and evenings free to explore the island, relax, and enjoy all the properties have to offer! The pools were awesome, the kayaks and gear fantastic, and simply there wasn't any additional amenity that the houses didn't have. The main thing to note would be in Brisa, it is an open Balinese style house - so the two bedrooms there, although having portable AC units to cool - don't stay as cool as the bedrooms in the other houses. This is just to note, and not a deterrent- just in case AC for people is an absolute must. Speaking of absolutes, the use of bug spray is a must! This is the tropics, bugs affect some more than others. It was nice to have a supply offered in each home, but definitely bring your own and apply often. There is a great gift shop onsite with handmade items by the owners and staff who work there, as well that is what makes up all the decor and dinnerware! Lastly, having the vehicles there to use was such a bonus - especially with a group of our size and going to different places.
The pictures of the interiors, exteriors, and the all the acreage simply do not do it justice - it's a gorgeous retreat. Go and see for yourself :-). Thanks to the Raw family and all those onsite at Villas Del Mar - we had a fantastic trip, one for the books!

This house was absolutely perfect. There were 7 adults in our group and felt that there was ample room in the house. There are 2 other homes on the property as well. We rarely saw the guests in either home. It felt very secluded. All bedrooms have air conditioning and mosquito nets on the beds. We opted to leave all the doors and windows open so we could feel the breezes. It was so pleasant. They provide bug spray and we used it to prevent bug bites. Some of us did get bites but they were not reapplying the spray.
The house has many seating areas for you to socialize or lounge and several hammocks as well. The pool temperature was perfect and overlooks the ocean. Pool rafts too!
We felt extremely safe with the gated house and guards. We left the house wide open all day and night. We did lock our bedrooms if we left for long periods of time. The staff are amazing and will assist you as little or as much as needed. Rosa and Pearl will cook for you anytime you like. We had the Shrimp Marsala and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. They have a pizza oven and one night all guests gathered for dinner. It was nice to get to meet new people. We had the pleasure of meeting Bruce and Nicky (the owners). They are very kind and fun couple! The wifi is free and works great! We got to use a 7 passenger van for the week and felt completely comfortable driving to various destinations. Fausto will help with any house needs such as taking garbage or placing the kayaks in the water. There are many snorkel gear sets and over 5 kayaks. You can walk down to the pier and Fausto will take care of the supplies. We took a boat trip and Hanford was our Captain. He was friendly and informative. He took us to Jade beach for snorkeling and to La Serina for lunch. One day he dropped the woman off at Paya Beach Resort while the men went fishing. Paya Beach Resort is for Naturists so you need to be screened before you can pay for a day pass $5. Even though we are not Naturists, we got the green light and we were able to enjoy the beautiful property for a few hours. We spent an afternoon at Havana beach which had no tourists, only locals. It was breathtaking. We had our driver take us to West Bay Beach for an afternoon. We soaked in the sun and had some lunch at a local restaurant with live music. We then hopped in a $3 water taxi to West End for dinner. A perfect property for a perfect vacation! Thanks Phil for everything!!

Jenbec pretty much said it all. There were 4 couples in our group and everyone loved their vacation at Fuego Del Mar. The property is more like a tropical garden with the buildings carefully crafted and blended into the surrounding. It is truly a beautiful home and property with incredible vistas from almost every location. Phil, Bruce, Nikky, Derrick, Fausto, Rosa and Pearl took amazing care of us and made this a vacation to remember. The island is beautiful, the people are friendly and the accommodations are top notch. There is no need to leave the property to have an amazing vacation. Rosa and Pearl made us some of the best meals we have ever eaten. You will not regret booking Fuego, Las Brisas or Mariposa, or all 3 for a large group. We can't wait to go back.

We just returned from fuego del mar, where we celebrated my 50th bday and our 25 th anniversary. We had a group of 8 and this was the perfect house. Great pool, awesome central area with great breezes. We snorkelled of the back, and the dive boats from subway picked us up there as well. The meals we had there were very good, and the van made it easy for our whole group to go out together. We are trying to decide when to go back.
But, beware the bugs, they didn't hurt or itch, until we were ready to leave, but now they are very itchy.

Our family of eight had a wonderful vacation at Fuego Del Mar. We felt like the rich and famous! The home is incredible. The pool is beyond words. We thought it was much larger in person than we anticipated from the pictures. There were several floats available. The small outside fridge held plenty of beverages. The bathroom off of the deck was convenient. We loved having the kayaks to use. Everyday we went snorkeling on the reef - about a 10 minute kayak trip. Beautiful reefs so close. The house itself is amazing. The dining room is awesome. We all thought our beds were comfortable. The decor of the house is cool. There is a true attention to detail throughout the home. We used Rosa to cook for us every evening. They were the best meals ever. We all highly recommend the shrimp masala. One day she grilled lobster for us that we bought from a man off the dock. Very fresh! The gift shop was super. Mostly pottery type items made by locals and the very talented owner, Nikki! We were pleased to help the local economy and have a couple of quality items as momentos. The staff was so attentive - candles lit every night, help bringing up groceries from the car, setting the kayaks in the water, and the list goes on. Everything about this trip was memorable. We thank the staff and Phil for making this a perfect family vacation.
The only caveat is the location. You will be in walking distance of nothing. A couple of times our 20 something kids got a bit antsy and had the driver take them into town. Most of us were totally content to take in the view and lounge by the pool for the entire week. Highly recommend Fuego del Mar. Great home and great service from beginning to end!

My husband and I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel to many wonderful places - but, OH MY GOODNESS, we just cant say enough good things about the Villas Del Mar! In June of this year, our family enjoyed a wonderful reunion at Fuego Del Mar and Bisas Del Mar; it could not have been more perfect!
Bruce, Nikki, Brijinia and Phil were so good to work with as we made our pre-trip arrangements, and were so patient with our seemingly endless questions.
The property is breath-takingly beautiful - truly an oasis. The well-appointed, tastefully-decorated open-air villas - surrounded by dense tropical foliage - perched on a bluff over the turquoise water, are cooled by refreshing sea breezes.
The sweet, friendly staff at the Villas Del Mar is just absolutey incredible!!! To say they were attentive and accomodating is putting it mildly! Each time we returned from an outing, two little taps on our car horn brought one of the staff running (literally) down to open the gate. They were always at our "beck and call" - whether it be to put kayaks in the water, bring more drinking water, bring in the deck cushions when it rained, light the tiki torches in the evening, get a coconut down out of the tree and open it for our Grandsons, do our laundry - oh my, I could just go on and on and on! They were always "there" for us, and yet not at all intrusive, and we never felt our privacy was invaded in the least; not an easy balance to achieve, if you think about it
Rosa cooked for us every night, and oh boy can she cook ! The dining table at Fuego is large enough that we could all eat together Usually, after Rosa had cleared the table, we enjoyed playing games -especially "Articulate", which always kept us in "stitches".
After days filled with scuba diving, snorkeling, and kayaking, the adults enjoyed wonderfully soothing/relaxing massages at the spa. Believe you me, by the end of our stay we were feeling mighty pampered - and, yes, more than just a tiny bit spoiled
The grounds are completely enclosed and protected by armed guard 'round the clock. We always felt completely safe - that we never closed up the houses, allowed us to truly experience that "island feeling", and the tropical breezes.
We thank everyone at the Villas for giving us the vacation-reunion of a lifetime - with memories that we will cherish forever!
Our love to all

I'm going to put this on recorded; "Fuego Del Mar is the nicest and most unique property (for the price ) that I have been able to find in the last 17 years anywhere in Central America, the US, Mexico and the Caribbean. I've taken my kids on a vacation every year and I literally spend hours on the internet looking for that "one special property". When I found this house (or should I say compound) I immediately booked a week there. I began the trip with a couple nights at a condo on the West End. When we got tired of the nightlife, the hangovers and the crowds, we then moved down to Fuego to relax.
I rented scooters, a van and some ATV's which remained at the property. We used them everyday to explore and to get around the island. There are many amazing restaurants and hidden gems very close to Fuego. Part of the fun is the exploration in uncovering them OR, just ask the owners. There is so much to do you will be hard pressed to fill up you week. There is no such thing as "boring" at Fuego unless you choose "down time".
West End is a half hour drive on the scooters and the ride is a blast!! All in one day we went zip lining, then to the botanical gardens on to the zoo and then back to Fuego for board games around the massive dining table and the lovely infinity pool at night. There is great snorkeling straight out on the reef. Just grab the canoe and off you go.In addition there is a fishing boat there at the dock you can rent for the day or the property manager can hook you up with a Catamaran, swimming with Dolphins, golf or scuba. Everything is right there at your finger tips and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Set over a creek close to the house is a private spa with several treatment options. To date; best massage I ever had!
Where can you find an ocean front, tropical private resort, with a luxury fishing boat, private spa, your own private chef and an outside rock shower with an ocean view for this price? It's unheard of! I can only say the experience at this rare find took our breaths away and we still have not recovered............ aching to return! We just returned from Barbados for 10 days. Guess what we talked about?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"that trip we took to Fuego Del Mar Roatan!!
The pool is very cool and the snorkeling is very good straigjht out on the reef. Just grab a canoe and you're off. There's a fishing boat there for rent and the property manager can hook you up with a Catamaran, swimming with Dolphins and Scuba.
