Nestled in Kill Devil Hills, this attractive house for £275 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Great single-family home for get-togethers at the beach! Short walk to the ocean. Newly renovated amazing kitchen and bathroom! Originally, a two-bedroom flat roof cottage the "Kneas Family Cottage" has evolved into the perfect beach vacation location for families hosting five bedrooms and 3 full baths, one-half bath + an outside shower. With a beautiful deck overlooking a large grassy lot, it is walking distance (1800 feet) to the beach, you may also drive and park at the 5th street beach access. Short walk to the Sound, and shopping making it the ideal affordable rental home for large families. The first-floor living area and newly renovated kitchen are a large open "L" shaped area with plenty of seating for dining, TV, reading area, and gaming. Two bedrooms and one and a half baths are located on the first floor. One of these bedrooms is ideal for children as it hosts 2 full-size beds and three singles. There is also an outside shower to use when returning from the beach. On the second floor, the cozy living area with TV opens to the sun deck. Two of the bedrooms (one queen and one full) are off the second living area with one full bathroom. The third bedroom (queen bed) and bath (master)is separated from the living area for more privacy. Our family of 15 loved staying here for our week-long summer vacation. The property is in an ideal location for easy access to everything OBX has to offer. An easy walk to the beach, grocery stores nearby, pretty much anything we needed was very close. Looking forward to coming back again!

The house and deck were smaller than expected. The upstairs "kitchen" could use some work - it's just a sink and lots of cabinets. A small fridge and microwave would be great. A keychain for the keys would be helpful - also think about extending the porch - if the key falls, it's gone! The owner was responsive about the coffee maker not working. The overhead lighting in the kitchen and dining room is harsh fluorescent lights that could be changed. The counter top ice maker was a helpful addition! Advertised beach access includes crossing a major highway - not very conducive when you have a bunch of stuff and kids. We did find a free parking lot a few minutes away that worked for us. Overall the house worked for the nine of use, was just not quite as advertised.

With another couple I brought my daughter and a crew of friends. This property was great for us. It is walking distance from the beach. The boys stayed downstairs in the bedroom with multiple beds. The girls stayed upstairs in the two bedrooms and common room. That area is actually just like its own little apartment and the loved it. We played volleyball in the side yard (brought our own net) and had a great time. It’s a charming place and worked perfectly for us.

Location is pretty optimal; quick drive to everything in OBX. House is spacious & had plenty of room for our very large family. Plenty of parking. Host is very responsive.
Concerns we had were a neighbor who approached our family a couple times as we would come in & out of the house, who appeared to be under the influence of something. We weren’t comfortable letting females or the kids play or walk the dog outside, as he was often outside. The walk to the ocean is across a very busy highway, but it’s an easy drive to public beach accesses so we didn’t mind. We found leftover medications in one bed, which did give me some concerns about cleaning but otherwise the property appeared clean.

This property accommodated my entire family with the layout and space for us to be together and seperate when we wanted to be. Bringing everyone together can be stressful and this lovely home provided us with all the comfort we needed. It was close to activities and easy to get to. Any family will be happy with this home.

Had a very enjoyable stay at this property. Lots of communal space. Sleeping rooms were nice and clean and the kitchen was stocked well with dishware and cookware. The internet was nice and fast, which worked well for our group since we had a handful of people who needed to work from home for a portion of the trip.
We arrived at our check-in time of 4:00pm, but the cleaners were still finishing cleaning from the previous guests. They were out by 4:30pm and the house was cleaned thoroughly.
Overall, a great place to stay for the price! The beach is a short walk away and there are tons of entertainment and food options within a 5-10 min drive from the house.

We brought our adult children and spouses along with my 4 year old grandson. The location was perfect, clean, and plenty of parking. My grandson found the bocce ball set and we played many times in the spacious yard. Short walk to the beach. Would highly recommend.

Overall the home was wonderful. There were a few issues regarding things not being clean however, nothing the owner would have been aware of if I hadn't shared the information. Location was perfect, home was perfect for our family with more than enough room for everyone.

This year my family decided that we wanted to enjoy Thanksgiving at the beach. We had a great time. The house was well stocked and close to lots of amenities. There were lots of conversation spaces. This property was built with family in mind.

We really enjoyed our stay at this exquisite rental property. We had plenty of room and everything was so comfortable and inviting. Just the perfect place for our family to gather together, and the property owner was so easy to work with. A lot of care and attention-to-detail clearly goes into this property, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. I do wish the house was a bit cleaner. The photos online were a bit misleading as far as the room size. But all of the extra beds were really handy. We love the large kitchen table. It was a great trip with our family.

House has a lot of space and fit a lot of people we were 9 people and has plenty of bathrooms. We enjoyed our stayed, brought our own sheets and towels. Only thing bugs but I guess all NC has them all. We love our stayed, had fun and enjoyed the beach every day.

I have used VRBO for a couple of years and the quality of the properties have been very good. The property managers and owners have been responsive to answering questions and providing needed information. The relationship VRBO has developed with the owners has made it easy to rent through their website.

The House had more than enough room for our family vacation. I must admit we wish it were a bit cleaner but it is an older home. The beach is close. If you’re walking you have a main road to cross (with traffic light). The area has everything around. You really won’t lack anything that you may want to do. It’s like the city and the beach had a child and named it Kill Devil Hills. The owner was responsive whenever I reached out which was appreciated.

This property fit our family perfectly. Everyone had a bed and plenty of room to lounge. The short walk to the beach has many of our foot prints and we are walkers so the closeness of a few stores and attractions was nice too. This was a family reunion so about 25 of us were all staying in Kill Devil Hills. We all got together at “our” place o the yard one afternoon as had fun playing corn hole. We would love to do this again soon
