Hosted by Pointe West Vacation GVR01943 **Starting April 1 through May 25th the elevator in this building is undergoing a complete replacement. During this time you will encounter active construction and noise, no parking garage access and stairs must be utilized. By accepting the lower rental rate you are agreeing to these terms*** **Sorry, pets are not permitted in this unit. Gorgeous beachfront condo in pointe west! 'LICENSE TO CHILL' features three bedrooms and two baths, this vacation residence is the perfect place to enjoy your pointe west vacation. It is located on the second level which allows you to easily enjoy the beautiful beachfront view from the living or dining space in this open floor plan condo and is just a short walk to the Beach Club. This condo offers: a king bedroom, a second king bedroom, and a third bedroom with two twin over full bunk beds making this condo ideal for couples or two small families vacationing together. Sleeps 9 comfortably. 2 High Def LED TV's, WIFI, NEWLY FURNISHED living room nicely decorated, a fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare a dinner and entertain guests at the same time. , Everything you need for a great vacation! A storage locker is provided with this unit. Pointe West is a privately owned resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island. You will have exclusive access to our private beach that is clean and groomed regularly offering you a perfect spot to relax and unwind, away from the crowds. You are approximately 30 minutes from downtown Galveston and other great Galveston attractions. RESORT FEE: The Pointe West Beach Club, open year-round, is a privately owned/separate entity, offering resort style amenities for guest enjoyment. Per Beach Club regulations, a maximum of 3 guests per bedroom is allowed for amenity wristband purchases. The fee is $25 per person (ages 4 and up), per stay (not per day) should you wish to enjoy these amenities. The fee includes use of the Beach Club pool, the seasonally heated Bayside/lazy river pool, hot tubs, workout facility, basketball & pickle ball court. The Beach Club will directly email you an invoice for payment, should your party wish to purchase and enjoy the resort amenities. Once paid, you will pick up your amenity wristbands at the Beach Club Office, open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. *Please note their fees are non-refundable. We suggest you purchase closer to your arrival date. For questions about the fee or amenities, please contact the Beach Club at Purchase of the resort amenity wristband is optional. **It is important to note that we manage the rental of your vacation home. We are not in charge of the community grounds, offered amenities, the pools, beach, elevators or restaurant. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: *Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out is 10:00 a.m. *You are welcome before check-in & after check-out to enjoy the beach and resort amenities if you have purchased Beach Club wristbands. *Please note that all condos are accessible by stairs or elevators. In the event that elevators are placed out of service, stairs will be required. There are no refunds or alternatives for access to your vacation rental. *Age Requirement is 26+ *No Prom, Graduation or High School groups are permitted even with chaperones, please! CANCELLATION POLICY: *31 or More Days Prior To Your Date of Arrival: A full refund will be issued less a $100.00 administrative fee and the Travel Insurance premium, if purchased. *Cancellations 30 Days or less: No refunds or transfer of dates. TRAVEL INSURANCE: Is OFFERED for purchase when you secure your vacation reservation. Travel Insurance is coverage that can help protect you from losses from unexpected events that may occur. The hurricane season starts June 1 and ends November 30. Please review our cancellation as well as Storm and Cancellation Policies carefully! These are located in the rental agreement. The property was fine. Clean and as pictured. The location is beautiful but far away from everything. Don’t plan on using door dash or anything like that. Walmart is 27 mins away so as long as you plan for that and to cook all your meals, you will be fine.
The resort has no marketplace or open restaurants. You pay $25 per person to use the amenities such as the pool, game room and fitness center but the pool was closed down 3 out of 4 days of our stay with no water. Use of the game room should be included but it’s an additional $5 to use each time. ($25 cc payment with $20 refund after returning equipment.)
The elevators were not working so we had to carry our luggage and everything up and down the stairs.
It was jelly fish season so we could not enjoy the beach. This should have been addressed prior as it happens every year but coming from Georgia, we were not aware. The Man O war jellyfish were beautiful to look at, but they are dangerous.
Over all the property was fine but I would have like to know about these issues prior to booking and I would like a refund on the amenities charge since we were not able to use those either for more than 4 hours.

We had a great time staying at "License 2 Chill." Property is clean, well-appointed, and has amazing unobstructed views of water. Location is close to beach walkover and basketball court. We enjoyed the amenities that Pointe West has to offer, including both pools and gift shop. Would definitely return to this property again in the future.

All aspects were as advertised or better! We scoured location for future trip with Grandkids and found everything we hoped for. Quiet and secluded area. Great for being away from the Seawall bars and restraints. Can still get there when we want to. Plenty of amenities and the sunrise view was magic.

Great beach rental
I have stayed at this property several years ago. I love the new updates!!! Furniture is so nice and comfortable, new paint, new bedding, lots of extras in the kitchen. I stay at Pointe West every summer and have been in many of the rentals. This one is definitely at the top of the list 🥰

Overall Good
The decor is stylish and comfortable. There were some basic supplies that were lacking though - 4 wine glasses, 1 roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toliet paper and 6 towels for a 3 bedroom condo that sleeps 8 is just insufficient.

Great Stay
Had a great stay at this condo, had everything we needed, nicely decorated and comfortable. Nice views of the beach and surrounding area. A little too windy to take advantage of the nice balcony but that's the chance you take in the spring.

Wonderful beach condo
The property looks just like the pictures. It was stunning. We bought food because the reviews said that it wasn’t near any restaurants and this was accurate which didn’t bother us because it was so peaceful. We were a little disappointed to find out the bar and restaurant didn’t open till a week after we left. Nowhere did it say this till after we booked. This is the only reason we didn’t leave 5 stars. Other then that we loved it.

Our group had 4 adults and 2 kids. This property was great- very clean and comfortable. Awesome huge deck on the back with great ocean views and a large dining table plus seating area. King beds in both bedrooms, plus bunk beds in the kids' room was perfect. Kitchen was well stocked. There was some confusion over whether the kitchen had a Keurig or not, and I was actually told by the Pointe West property manager that this condo didn't have one. But when we got there, it did. So drip coffee or K cups- take your pick! It was about a 1/4 mile walk from the condo to get to the actual beach (along a paved sidewalk and then a bridge). The condo is also far from the community pool which meant there was no extra noise. We loved it and will be back!

Phenomenal view and location
This was an absolute pleasure. We had a blast and truly were able to relax and enjoy our time on the beach. The hosts were great and very responsive.
My only note is that the elevator was down for 2 days. I had elderly family members that were limited in what we could do.
But otherwise, this was a fantastic stay!

Long Mother’s Day wet
We go to Galveston every year. This was one of our favorite times. The property was very far down the island, almost to San Luis pass, but being that far away from the city was wonderful. We spent most of our time on the balcony listening to the waves and relaxing. It’s a 30 to 40 minute drive to most of the restaurants, so we went grocery shopping and did some cooking. It was so relaxing, we hated to leave to come back to daily work. We definitely will rent this place again!

Great place!
Loved the large balcony...comfy furnishings and beds...and most of all our Ocean view! Nicely equipped kitchen made us feel right at home. We also liked that we had the outdoor storage area to keep our beach toys. We will be staying here annually!

Great stay!
We went on vacation for the first time with friends. We both have small children, 3 total ages 4 & 3. The condo was great. A really great location, a fabulous balcony, and the perfect size. The fact that it had 2 king bedrooms was a huge plus so both sets of parents had a king bed. One thing to mention is that they do NOT have a Keurig, even though the email mentions bringing your own coffee or K-cups. We had to go buy coffee since we only brought K-cups. The elevators worked until the power went out the evening of the last day due to a transformer blowing - not something controllable.

This condo is perfect and location is unbeatable. We love this end of the island with the nicer sand and more peaceful stay. The wagon and a place to put the sand toys, etc downstairs was a big plus too. Only one negative was the elevator hadn’t been working for awhile. But we had an amazing time

Great location-Ocean Front. Many condos are described as Ocean Front but "License 2 Chill" had the BEST VIEW. Family enjoyed the amenities at Pointe West - POOL, HOT TUB and GYM. The condo was very CLEAN and the host was very RESPONSIVE to our questions. We will book again.

This condo is perfect and location is unbeatable. We love this end of the island with the nicer sand and more peaceful stay. The wagon and a place to put the sand toys, etc downstairs was a big plus too. Only one negative was the elevator hadn’t been working for awhile. But we had an amazing time

It is a good 23 miles from Galveston which is about 40 minutes, but once you get there, it’s nice to be that far out. while it was winter with very low occupancy, be aware that the unit is located right beside the beach club and pool. Like the patio can be seen and heard from the pool area. Didn’t bother us because no one was at the pool, but we would not enjoy this proximity during the busy season. The view from the patio is wonderful and access to the beach within steps. The unit was comfortable and as described. Communication was also very good.

Great unit —Relaxing
Pre Thanksgiving trip to get away. Enjoyed the unit. Well appointed with comfortable beds and furniture. Loved that it had 2 king beds! Only thing I would suggest is changing the shades on the afternoon sun side in the living area. Sun gets very bright in the living area and that side of the patio. Might be good to have an outdoor curtain as well? Otherwise unit was great, loved the porch and easy walk down to the beach.

Relaxing get away!
Nicely decorated condo with a lovely view of the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the downstairs locker had beach chairs and a wagon (a nice, unexpected perk!). We had a party of 8, and there was plenty of room for all of us in the spacious accommodations. We hope to return!

We love Pointe West!
This is such a great location to vacation. The beach is beautiful and clean. The condo is spacious and accommodating for our 2 families, 3 kiddos and one infant. It is the furthest walk to the pool which we didn’t like as much and the walkways to the beach didn’t have ramps for our beach carts and strollers but it was still doable and totally worth it anyway!
