Situated in Southern Shores, this attractive house for £317 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Come and relax at our beautiful home in Southern Shores, 3 miles south of Duck. Havana Daydreaming has beautiful Ocean views. Come and bike on our bike paths for miles. Beach access directly in front of our home, 400 yards with an easy walk or park at the beach. Private sound beach available for rough days on the ocean with jungle gym and porter potty. Catch your fish and grill with our gas grilling station on a covered deck surrounded by chairs and table with outdoor lighting. Many amenities, easy access to restaurants, golfing, shopping and more. Partial weeks available OFF season . Saturday to Saturday ONLY rental from Memorial week until Labor Day week unless discussed with us. Work directly with the owner. Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags are set up for initial arrival however suggest you bring more. Cleaning supplies provided. Bedpads, blankets, pillows provided. Sheets and bath linens available only for the requested beds. Early check in available for a fee,. Well trained dog allowed for a fee. $150 per Dog and limited to 2. 8 guests max plus 1 crib. Our family of 8 recently stayed here and we had plenty of room. The location is great just North of Kitty Hawk. The nearby beach is recently restored and is beautiful. Although it took me a few days to find everything, the kitchen is really well-outfitted for cooking meals. We ate almost all of our meals in. The top floor kitchen and family room space was a favorite. The house's location across route 12 from the beach was not a problem for us as we did not have lots of young children around. We just had to be alert when crossing the road.

Excellent location, really close to the beaches with the provided parking pass from the host. Close to shops and restaurants. There was unfortunately no Ocean view at all as advertised which was a bummer. Good accommodation for larger family and pets, overall pretty spacious. The communication with the host was decent, we even had a family incident that they were willing to work with us on. As far as expectations that were not met, as mentioned above no Ocean view. The lack of/none of the necessary toiletries like toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels etc. We were really looking forward to the hot tub, but it wasn’t in working condition. The host notified me the night before our stay about the hot tub situation which is very last minute. There are a lot of stains on the carpet, since it is pet friendly I would highly recommend not having carpet everywhere. A lot of out-of-date technology for example the surround sound speakers were connected to VHS player. There was a broken cabinet that had occurred from the previous stay and the host mentioned that we can fix it if we had a screw driver, which was odd. We had to dress our own beds, never had that at other places we have stayed. Overall it just felt like the host did not have it ready for us as well as some misleading perks as advertised and mentioned above. If expectations were met we would definitely stay again.

Jacuzzi broken, dishwasher door broken (with a workaround) had to make our own beds, shower door broken and rusty. Thin rough towels. Needed 3 to dry off. 4 washcloths for 9 people. Beach umbrella and 2 of the 4 chairs broken. No first morning coffee service so after a 13 hour drive had to drive to grocery store at 8p. Trash bins full. And lots of instructions of what we were expected to do when we left, that seemed to exceed what they did for our arrival.This property has so much potential and the owners are friendly but they need to step up their game.

Had a lovely time at this house. Perfect location for both Duck and getting to places like kill Devils, and Jockeys ridge. House had everything we needed, extra toys, extra beach equipment, lots of kitchen supplies. House was clean and even though there were some very minor hiccups with the hot tub, Becky was so kind to get us dinner to apologize (which was so generous). Had a wonderful stay. Our family of 4 adults and 6 kids had a great time. Super comfortable and not crowded, plenty of room for everyone. Our dogs also had a great time. Recommend for anyone to stay at while going to OBX.

Nice sized property for family or relatively smaller groups (<10). Amenities (e.g. hot tub, multiple decks, outside kitchen facility, basketball hoop etc.) on site. Short walk to beach access and close to bike path—-though local traffic on Duck Road can be a problem during peak times.

We loved our stay here! It was so fun to be in the outer banks during jazz fest, and this house met exceeded our expectations! We’d love to stay again, thank you for hosting our family!

This was a great property for my husband and I along with our 2 sons/daughter-in-law and 3 grands (5 mos to 6yrs) The kids had a blast - going up and down (helped to wear them out), of course, for us old folk - the stairs were a pain!! The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, dishes and some spices. There was also a starter of all the paper items needed (TP, paper towels, garbage bags) The bathtub in the jack and jill bathroom was slow to drain - and informed owner - there was a quick response. The only thing that was truly a problem was the size of the shower in the master bathroom - it truly needs to be enlarged and updated, otherwise our stay was just perfect.

We hunted for seashells, enjoyed the town of Duck, especially Duck donuts, theirs shops and galleries . We enjoyed a nearby lighthouse, the Wrightbrothers memorial, Awful Arthur’s food and Black Pelican food. We walked piers. Beautiful weather. We enjoyed the hot tub at night, and the spacious home.

The property was clean and well kept. Close to the beach 1/4 mile. We walked to the beach daily. Wagon was available to haul items. Centrally located. Not as far as Duck so in and out is a little easier. Close to grocery stores and restaurants.

House very comfortable. Owners accommodating. Beach ten minute walk away but had to cross busy road. Traffic noise was evident particularly on front deck. May not be an issue for some. Be aware of added fees which was considerable. All in all nice house

Our stay was incredible! We were just a few minutes (walk) away from the beach which was fantastic. When days were cloudy, we had the opportunity to hangout in the hot tub, which was such a nice amenity to have. We felt at home and Becky was so insightful with places to go and things to try! We went to a local bar called Longboards which was super fun and lively! We also attended several nice restaurants located in Duck! Overall, such a great time and would definitely recommend!

Everything was great from check in to checkout. House was very nice and clean. Owner’s were easy to communicate with although we did not need much. Plenty of room and all the amenities. Personally, my favorite thing was the high deck above the house. Great for relaxing and reading a book.

Awesome! Great Location to beach and Restaurants in Duck! Easy car ride to Cape Hatteras and Corolla! Felt like we were camping in the mountains but next to beach! We will be back again!!!
