Located in Copalis Beach, this lovely house for £702 per night is a great option for your next break. Sursum Corda is designed for small groups to enjoy the beauty of the Washington coast in simple, comfortable accommodations. The facility includes a large patio and outdoor fire pit, a 30ft. yurt for prayer and meditation and walking trails through old growth forest. There are 22 beds, located on two floors, and 6 bathrooms in the Main house, as well as a spacious kitchen, Living room/Dining area, a media center with internet and wide-screen TV and a small library. May thru September, 2 night minimum. You can drive onto the beach 2 miles south at Ocean City or take a short walk through the dunes to Copalis Beach. Copalis Beach is the razor clam capital of the world and there is great fishing nearby as well. We are located just north of Ocean Shores, WA, which offers shopping, entertainment and the Quinault Beach Casino. We have a strict NO pet policy in the building. Animals are welcome on the property, but not in the building.

This place is great if you have a big family and all want to stay together. There was 16 of us and had plenty of room. We didn’t even use all the bedrooms. Would highly recommend this place.

Carol hosts an amazing retreat venue at. Sursum Corda! Our women’s retreat had a great time and had plenty of room, plenty of kitchen supplies and everything else you could need for a weekend retreat.

That's what my teenager said when she saw all the bedrooms, little nooks to get away, and room to spread out. We also loved the the woodland trail, the beach close by, (we would recommend driving, especially with young or senior members of a party), a super-stocked kitchen, and the two fire pits. The one on the patio was perfect for those who wanted to chat around a fire at an easy distance, and the one on the back lawn was perfect for feeling like you were camping in the woods, but still had a bed to climb into at night. Even roasting sticks were provided. The teenagers got some gaming time in and the 4 and under crowd loved the toy room and running the ramp and hall back and forth. Everything was super easy, Carol was wonderful to work with and we absolutely loved our stay. It was the perfect place for us!

We love Sursum Corda! This is our third year there, and we're planning already for next summer. Carol is great at communicating ahead of time, and we've had only good interactions with her over the years. The location is wonderful, with old growth forest out back and a pretty secluded beach a few minutes away.

This retreat center was a spacious and well-stocked location for our family gathering. There were plenty of large areas for all seventeen of us, ranging in age from 5 to 72, to gather, and each had our own space as well when we needed a break! The kitchen had literally every possible amenity we could think of (and multiples of most) - the only thing we could come up with that was missing was an egg slicer. :) Lots of lovely touches from books on every bedside table to plenty of games, puzzles, and kids toys, a wide variety of movies available, and a beautiful nature walk on the property. There is also plenty of wood for the firepit and the yurt up behind the center is a great gathering place too. If you want to venture away from the property, there are several beach access points nearby, and several small towns are within 15-20 minutes. The older septic system limits water usage, so don't plan on long showers, but with some careful scheduling we were able to meet everyone's needs.

What an incredible place! There was plenty of space for our family of 19, with gathering spots at the dining tables, on the patio around the fire pit, and in the yurt -- and also many places for when one wanted alone time. Outside, we especially enjoyed the forest path, the basketball hoops, and the lawn for croquet and bocce ball. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the owner was responsive when we called about a few minor issues. Location is fine, only a short drive to the beach or to the grocery. Really, this is perhaps the best vacation home we've found for our annual family reunions.

Everything went well. I liked the loaction and we had more than enough space for 18-20 people. The only downfall is the building was older so the septic system can’t keep up with the size of the building so guests were limited to 3 mins showers. That got challenging with that many people. So some propel went without showers. Other than that amazing place and huge and quiet and had everything you could possibly need within the house.

We met during a retreat at Sursum Corda in 2018 and four years later returned there to host our closest friends and family for our wedding celebration. We had a beautiful ceremony in the yurt and our guests had a wonderful time exploring the serene area around the property. Property manager Carol was so kind, communicative, and helpful with all of our needs including a site visit two months ahead of our stay and thorough information about inventory and local businesses to reach out to for additional supplies. 10/10 would recommend!

The way the home is set, it was very easy to do large classes or retreat for small conversations or just slip away for some quiet time. The kitchen had everything you needed. Our host was amazing. She didn't tire of all my email concerns. She even gave me a tour to help rest my mind. We plan on going back next year.

Nice, quiet place to hold large group gathering. Lots of space with large kitchen and dining areas. The basement area feels like an old medical facility of sorts, with a long hallway and stainless sinks in many rooms. Nice outdoor patio area for grilling and socializing. Not at all fancy, but nice to have everyone under one roof!

We had a grand time at the retreat center. Carol was amazingly accommodating and friendly. The resort fit our needs perfectly. While not new and fancy, it offered all we needed: room for the children to run and play, room for adults to sit and visit, close access to the beach, and plenty of seating at tables for meals and games. Our goal at our reunions is not to be entertained, but to connect and be with family and this resort offered a variety of rooms and opportunities to do that. Plus there were more than enough bedrooms! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Place was amazing, lots of rooms and bed. Carol was very helpful. Sone of the furniture was very old, one of the chair broke on us when sitting, but Carol was very understanding and was worried about our safety. If I am coming back to ocean shores with a huge group, I will chose this place again.

We were greeted by a nice warm relaxing atmosphere, the moment we entered all of our stress slipped away. It’s convenient to access ocean shores and there are just enough amenities nearby to have everything you might want to do. Anything we forgot to bring was already there, and Carol was super friendly. There was even a guide book she put together with history of the building and area which was super helpful. We’ll definitely go back again.

This spacious property provided plenty of room to relax over the Christmas holiday. Our extended family played games, explored the beach and enjoyed Christmas dinner together. Our host was prompt at answering any questions I had and check in/ out details were clear. We were surprised to wake up to snow the morning we left but thankful for all the memories we made.

This is our second time staying here in the winter time and we had such a great time again! We had 4 adults and 6 kids and the space to spread is fantastic and kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals. Had a lovely fire several nights in the main living area and the kids love the play space. Thanks again Carol for a second lovely stay!!
