Located in Lido di Venezia, this charming condo for £187 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Arcobaleno-Rainbow Venice apartment (Codice ID. Regionale M0270421594) is located at the first floor of an historic Venetian Renaissance little palace, with a nice view over a picturesque Venetian canal, in one of the most beautiful parts of the Dorsoduro district, Arcobaleno (Rainbow) is a fresh and charming Venetian apartment. It has been recently renovated and completely reappointed by the owners, who lived here for 10 years. Rooms are nicely and delicately painted with the colors of the rainbow. The flat is facing a small canal which you can view from all the flat windows. Placed in a true Venetian neighborhood, not in the middle of the tourist area, you will be able to experience the local coffee shops, bars and restaurant of Campo Santa Margherita and several wonderful restaurants all within 100 meters. Minimarkets, freshly baked bread and pastries shops, daily fish and groceries, including the last-in-Venice picturesque grocer-on-a-boat, are all at a short and pleasant walk away. Many attractions, including the Academia Gallery of Venetian painters and the Guggenheim Collection (former Peggy Guggenheim home in Venice) can be also reached by a short walk. Crossing the Accademia wooden bridge, the most photographed place in Venice (just 5 minute walk) according to Google Sightsmap, you can reach St. Mark's square with a 20 minute sightseeing walk. And if you do not feel like to walk, the flat is very close to the 'vaporetto/ferry' (Ca Rezzonico stop is just one little bridge away) with which you can easily move in the city. Beautifully furnished with high class fittings and fully appointed with modern life commodities (heating/air conditioning, TV, free WiFi access, DVD and CD players) the flat is composed (map is provided with photographs) of two bedrooms (a double and twin) with access to a mosaic decorated bathroom (with shower), a second large bathroom (with bath tub and washing/dryer machine - close to the living room), an entrance, a living room and the kitchen. A storage for shoes and luggage is available outside at the same floor. The bedrooms are cozy and warm with an original Renaissance, fully restored wooden ceiling and a new parquet floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave and electric ovens, dishwasher, fridge, cooking plates, toaster, cattle and coffee machine and serves an elegant dining area. The living room is comfortable and sunny. A sofa bed can accommodate an extra 2 people.

A really clean, comfortable and well presented apartment in an ideal location. It was a perfect base for our family of 5 and Marco was great at getting in touch and responding really quickly to any queries. This was a good apartment not far from the middle of Venice. The 2 AC units were able to cool down the apartment fairly quickly which was really needed on some hot August days. The sink and shower drains in 1 bathroom were slow, but otherwise I would highly recommend this apartment.

Spacious, comfortable and very well-equipped. We've stayed here once before, and would definitely stay again - we loved it! Our host was very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect - away from the crowds, but with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit. Highly recommended!

The property was great, we had 5 in our party and the place was big enough for all of us. It’s location is close to all the attractions and about 4 min walk from the vaporetto. Marco was amazing and super helpful and very attentive and responsive to all of our messages. The greeting person, Erika, was delightful and gave us some local places to eat and visit. Each was excellent. I highly recommend this place and owner.

Marco was an amazing host. He met us at the water taxi once we arrived. He was clear with his instructions at check-in as well as what to do upon checkout. I wish all hosts were like him. The apartment was centrally located, charming, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed. The space had air conditioning as well as a washing machine. On the hot summer days, my teenagers appreciated the WiFi and AC. Thank you, Marco!

We have stayed in a number of VRBO rentals in several countries and Marco’s Venice flat was the best yet. It is spacious, well appointed and spotless and in a very convenient location. Marco is an attentive host. He provided excellent instructions to get from the train station to the closest vaporetto stop, met us there and walked us to the flat, pointing out good markets, bakeries and restaurants along the short walk. Check-in was easy and the flat was perfect. Venice has a well-organized system for garbage collection and Marco explained it and left a binder with helpful information about this and the highlights in every Venice neighborhood. The Dorsoduro area is a great place to stay as it is close to San Marco by vaporetto and close to the Accademia bridge over the Grand Canal if you want to walk there. I recommend buying a vaporetto pass as the single tickets are expensive and only the largest stops sell them.at the stop itself. Riding the vaporetto is a great way to see the beautiful city. Apartment was great. First floor - stairs were manageable for 2 senior couples. Away from hoards of other tourists, but lively. Lots of restaurants near by. Very clean. Kitchen adequate. Favorite restaurant - Oniga in Campo San Barnaba. Staff was welcoming and the food on a higher level, even the simple dishes.

Marco manages an excellent property. It is in a wonderful and safe neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. The location offers easy walking or boat access to many Venetian sites. Marco was welcoming and terrific about communicating before our arrival. I highly recommend Marco’s property and I would stay here again next time I am in Venice.

Good location, across the tiny bridge in his pictures is a gelatio place so if you are a person who like to go to bed early you will need to close the windows as it can get a bit noisy at time. The windows and shutters do a really good job of sound proofing outside noise.

We stayed three lovely nights in Venice at this flat. The flat has everything needed and is located a short walk from a water bus stop on the Grand Canal, and from supermarkets and small speciality shops. I recommend a walk around the area, especially early morning before the tourists like you and I are about. We also recommend a trip to Burano Island and taking a water taxi to the airport if you are flying out of Venice. Across the Lagoon it's a speedboat ride. Worth noting that the second bedroom is small with two small single beds - as a couple we found this fine as there is plenty of other space but not everyone would like it. We very much appreciated that we could leave our bags in a cupboard on our last day as we checked out at 11.00am and flew at 7.00pm. It was also good that we were not hassled about check-out. We left at 11.00 and there wasn't a cleaner at the door eager to get in. And a particularly good feature of our stay was the communication from our host and the welcome from Anna who met us on arrival at the water bus stop, led us through the alleyways to the flat, showed us everything in the flat, and gave us lots of useful tips and directions. Highly recommended.

Perfect location. It's a 2-minute walk from a Grand Canal ferry stop that takes you to all the major sites. Yet it's a neighborhood of its own, and a great place for discovering plazas with small restaurants, gelato shops and bakeries, bookstores, shops, and a small grocery. Marco, the owner, is truly exceptional. He met us at the ferry stop and walked with us to the apartment, then explained how everything worked -- which as Americans who've never seen an Italian washing machine, we really appreciated. The apartment itself is so thoughtfully and carefully decorated, equipped and maintained. Its soft yellow palette and wood floors make it bright and cheery and the apartment is very roomy -- with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. We turned off the AC and slept with the windows and shutters open so we could enjoy the sounds of people walking by as they enjoyed the evening or made their way to university in the morning. This neighborhood -- Dorsoduro -- is truly charming and full of life, but, happily, just far enough removed from the massive crowds of some other areas such as St. Mark's. It was a short walk or ferry ride to Rialto Bridge, to Academia Bridge, to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, to St. Mark's and even to the boat to the islands of Murano and Burano. We highly, highly recommend this place. And recommend ignoring the tourist books that advise against gondola rides. Do it!! It's fun - especially if you go on the small canals -- and worth every penny.
