With the VAST snowmobile trail system easily accessible from the property and both Jay Peak and Burke Mountain about 20 miles away, this house is the perfect destination for winter enthusiasts. Jay Peak’s indoor water park is also open year round for those who would like a break from winter activities. Winter is not the only season full of fun and adventurous activities in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. The summer season brings activities like hiking and mountain biking, as well as kayaking, fishing, swimming, and golfing. Hike some of the numerous and beautiful nearby mountains, or bike the Kingdom Trails system in the Burke area. Kayak, fish, or swim in Lake Memphremagog, Crystal Lake, or Lake Willoughby. All are nearby. You can also fish the Black River from the back yard. Not far away, Jay Peak Resort is home to an 18-hole championship golf course, in addition to an ice arena, tram rides, and as previously mentioned, an indoor waterpark. There are many restaurants nearby, and the house is just a short distance from the Newport area, which has anything one could need. The house is also on a well-traveled road just 5 miles from I-91, so roads are well taken care of in the winter. It is just over 3 hours from Boston, under 6 hours from New York City, and 2 hours from Montreal.
