Wonderful view of marsh! Quite area on the island. Plenty of room! Would recommend blinds or shades in upstairs bedroom on the right.
Some would like a TV in sitting room upstairs other guest like not having a TV.

Very peaceful and relaxing getaway. My whole family enjoyed our time here. Also loved the wildlife on island.

The house was nice but NO TV which really disappointed some of the guests. It was not stated in the listing. A lot was required upon arrival and departure-Turning on/off water on the outside of the house, heat/cool regulations, all dishes cleaned and put away, and a few others.

Great property, wonderful communication with owner. Would definitely stay again!

Fripp island is beautiful. An abundance of wild life including cute little deer roaming the island. We rented a golf cart and the teen girls enjoyed driving us to and from the beach. The sounds of the marsh were right out of a movie. We enjoyed reading books on the deck and listening in the mornings and evenings. The house was well equipped with everything you need to cook or make coffee with. If a teenager tells you it’s one of their favorite vacations they’ve been on thats saying something!

Our stay was wonderful. We spent the majority of the time relaxing on the large porch that overlooks the tidal marsh. The wildlife is up close and personal here. For the adventurous, high tide provides the best opportunity for kayaking. The house was clean and very comfortable. It was stocked with everything we needed. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We will love to visit again!

Fabulous way to experience Fripp Island! My family celebrated my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary in this spacious, cozy and fully stocked home. We ‘ve been coming for years, and this view has to be the best so far!

We had reservations for 6 nights but only stayed 1. The air conditioner/electricity was not working on the first floor so we could not use any of this space . There were no exterior lights working which was a huge safety issue for us to deal with. We also could not charge our electric golf cart due to the electrical problems. The air conditioner vents were leaking so bad in the kitchen and master bedroom (there was a huge piece of plywood covering a hole adjacent to the ac vent and water stains all over the ceiling) that I had to put bowls under them to keep from walking in water. When I took a shower there was 6 inches of water in the tub due to a clogged drain. The dryer was not operating properly and the towels were damp and soured. The deck outside the master bedroom was covered with an inch of pine straw. The furniture upholstery was stained and had holes worn in places. The refrigerator was very dirty. I contacted the property owner and she had a housekeeper come and clean the refrigerator and had an electrician there within 90 minutes, he made several attempts to reset the breakers, he left and said he would return later to install new breakers. I talked to the property owner and told her we just could not deal with the other issues and she said she completely understood and would refund my money. However she did not refund all my money as promised.
I am very disappointed, these issues ruined our family vacation.

We had a good time at Fripp. It was very relaxing. Our house did not have amenity cards so we could not use anything which was disappointing. The golf cart that we rented was gas and we did not like that. The home was very accommodating for 2 families, however it needs to be updated. The air conditioner leaked from the roof and leaked on one of the beds. The ceiling was peeling.

Our family's first time at the Octagonal Tree House. Nancy the owner was prompt in responding, friendly and a gracious host. The house is in a good location, clean, very relaxing. If this house doesn't have the best view over the marsh I would be shocked. My family and I still miss the view a month later. The location of the house is in a great location on a narrow finger peninsula extending into the marsh away from the main thoroughfare of the island so there wasn't a lot of traffic out in front of the house which was awesome, yet still within walking, biking or golf cart distance to everywhere on the island. Very pleased with our stay.

Our family has been visiting Hurley Haven annually since 2005, and we will continue to do so. Tastefully decorated in a relaxing beach theme, the house features all the amenities you will need to settle in and enjoy the benefits of "home away from home" while experiencing the allure of ocean living. The beauty of this house is rivaled only by the setting in which it is located. You will be enthralled by early morning sunrise and late evening sunsets viewed from the comfort of the large, back deck or the window-lined living room overlooking the island marsh. The inclusion of on-site bicycles and kayaks is a wonderful convenience providing hours of enjoyment for young and old alike. Located just a few, short miles from the oceanfront, the seclusion of this property invites you to rest and solitude, while still giving ample opportunity to enjoy the fun of beach life. If you're searching for a place to relax and refresh, look no further. Hurley Haven is perfect in every way!

My husband and I took our daughter, her husband and three children to Hurley Haven and had a wonderful time. The house is so tastefully decorated and the attention given to the guests needs is exceptional. It feels like you are walking into the home of a relative, so comfortable. Fripp Island is an exceptional place; the minute you drive across the bridge into this gated community you exhale and enjoy the slower pace and the nature that surrounds you. Initially, I was a little anxious about my grandchildren (ages 12, 8 and 6) staying on a nature preserve/bird sanctuary as they are used to Myrtle Beach but from the first day I knew it was a hit. Pier Fishing, crabbing, bike riding, walking the beach at sunrise and sunset, and that is just a few of the things we did. Hunting Island State Park is just over the bridge from Fripp they offer daily activities for children and most are free. If there is a fee, it’s minimal. My daughter asked her children if they wanted to come to Fripp Island again or go to Myrtle Beach and they all said, “Fripp”! We loved it.

We discovered this home three years ago while staying at another vacation house on Fripp Island. This home is truly a gem! It will comfortably accommodate two families. Each having their own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living room with foldout couches for larger families. The home is decorated in a southern sea coast style. Turquois, sea foam green and yellow coloring accent and brighten every room of the home. Bamboo rugs and wallcoverings have been incorporated to add texture. There are no second hand or bargain brand furnishings. The home is exquisitely furnished while having a down home comfort. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you can imagine. From one side of the home, you have a panoramic view of the sky from sunrise to sunset. When you wake up in the morning you’ll view the sun rise while looking out over the marsh and see wild life abound. You’ll listen to the birds calling out as the fiddler crabs click their claws. Deer occasionally pass under the deck area. In the evening, you’ll recline into plush couches and chairs as you watch the brilliant sunset. Paradise! Over the past years, we have been all over the island and you will not find a better view of the sunset. And what additionally makes the stay at this home so enjoyable is the owner herself. Nancy is so understanding. She has been able to flex and meet our needs when we have needed to change our reservation dates. She always checks in with us before, during and after our stay to see if we need anything from her.We have stayed at this house the past three years and already have our reservations in for next year. We plan to continue to return for years to come and hopefully extend our stay to two months. Fripp Island with its beautiful scenery and sandy beaches accompanied by this beautiful home make for a perfect relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable vacation!

We stayed at Hurley Haven last week. It was absolutely wonderful. The whole family loved it and the area. The marsh is alive with many birds & wildlife. The deer are so relaxed and you can get very close to them which excited the little ones! The house is just as relaxing as described with beautiful décor. It was delightful to find the kitchen stocked to meet my expectation and more. The kayaks & bikes were great fun for everyone. It was actually a big delight to be away from everything including TV for a whole week. The house was designed great for our three generation family with a wide variation of ages. It worked wonderful to give everyone "their own space". I so enjoyed working with Nancy. She is very pleasant and very easy to work with. Thanks for your hospitality! We will definitely return again.

We really loved this house! It is a true getaway and a perfect home away from home! It has everything you could ask for (family games, books, cd/dvd player, wireless internet etc.), the house is beautifully decorated, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is very spacious. The marshland views that can be enjoyed from the deck (there is a great seating area and a hammock) and the kitchen/livingroom area through panoramic windows are just amazing! Lots of wildlife, great sunsets and the whole setting is so quiet, peaceful and relaxing that you don't really want to go anywhere else :-)It was also fun to watch the change of the tides. We especially enjoyed going kayaking (kayaks and bikes are provided). The kayaks can be launched from the house 1 hour before high tide and we kayaked almost every day for about 2 hours. 1 kayak can comfortably hold an adult and a smaller child under 10. There is a marina close-by that can also be reached with the kayaks. We explored the island with the bikes several times. The island is a quiet/peaceful island where you can go golfing, hang out at the beach, go kayaking or biking. If you need to go shopping or get groceries for your vacation, Beaufort is a 30 minute drive away. Hunting Island is just around the corner. Nancy is very nice, responsive and easy to work with. I am sure we will be back in the future. We can highly recommend this vacation rental, you won't be disappointed!

The Tree House is a wonderful vacation venue. The upstairs main part of the house is tastefully decorated and has a panoramic view of the salt marsh. Waking up each morning and enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the view of the marsh, birds and other wildlife was a real treat. The spacious house has rooms that are bright and airy and beds which are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for those times when cooking fresh shrimp or local seafood on the grill and having a cocktail on the deck may be preferable to going out.Hunting Island State Park is close by offering beaches (there are beaches on Fripp Island as well), walking trails, fishing pier and a lighthouse. We are frequent renters and Hurley Haven on Fripp Island was greater than every house we had stayed in before. Not only is this octagonal tree house spacious and comfortable, it is beautiful! The island-style interior decoration is gorgeous (pictures really don’t do it justice!) and the entire house has a luxurious but very homey feel. The house is very private, surrounded by palm trees, pines, and a pretty marshland with unique birds and breathtaking sunsets that you can enjoy from the large deck. We were very impressed with all the amenities that came with the house, from the generously equipped kitchen to the awesome stereo sound system. We were also very happy that the house came with six bikes – this was the best way to explore this nature paradise! The entire island is very kid- and bike-friendly; in the street this house is on, we saw more deer than cars. We also took the kids out to the marsh with the kayaks once during high tide – it was an adventure to get the kayaks in and out of the water but the kids had so much fun!Nancy is a super helpful owner. She responded to our emails and phone calls promptly, and made sure even during our stay that we were OK and had everything we needed. I could not say enough good things about our experience at Hurley Haven. We look forward to coming back :)

DAYS SPENT AT THE "TREE HOUSE" ARE LIKE WATCHING A SLOW MOTION IMAX MOVIE OF MARSH WILDLIFE
This lovely property on the marsh at Fripp Island is a gem. Built like a mushroom, it has a panoramic view of a tidal marsh from the kitchen, dining room and living room. Days spent in what is affectionately known as the "treehouse" are like watching a slow motion IMAX movie of the changing life on a saltwater inlet which often concludes with a spectacular sunset. On one occasion, we saw 8 great egrets feeding. On the late afternoon of our arrival, we were greeted by the hooting of a horned owl sitting in a tree near the deck. The owl returned numerous times throughout our stay, and we often heard his/her soft hooting when we went to bed. That first evening was also marked by the surprising sight of 3 racoons at dusk who swam towards the shore just below the deck where they bunked in the tall grass for the night because an exceptionally high tide had flooded their usual homes on hummocks in the marsh. Deer can also be regularly spotted sauntering along the verge of the marsh in front of the "treehouse".
This home is tastefully decorated and furnished. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped. We used the spacious master bedroom and turned the unused guest bedroom, which is decorated in soft blues, into a "prayer and meditation sanctuary". Located near the end of a peninsula that juts out into the marsh, the large trees and ample foliage - even in winter - provide complete privacy.
The owner was very friendly and genuinely concerned that we enjoy the property. She was prompt and accommodating in all our communications.
We would love to return to Fripp Island and spend a month at this remarkable property!

A truly great island house with all the amenities anyone could desire!
We have stayed with both friends and family and the reaction is always the same...WOW, what a great house. The layout of the home with fully independent upstairs and downstairs living areas, including a downstairs kitchen and lovely living room, afford the type of privacy rarely found in vacation rental property.
Easy parking, a central location yet lots of privacy and stunning marsh views off a large comfortable deck make easing into a laidback island mood so easy. The main living area upstairs has great marsh views as does virtually every room upstairs. It would be difficult to overstate the comfort level afforded by the furnishings throughout the home.
Both upstairs and down reflect the interior design talents of a professional, which is exactly what the owner is. The main kitchen is one of the best equipped we have ever encountered with everything needed to turn out gourmet meals or the simplest snack.
Since we all occasionally have experienced getting less than we had envisioned, one of the many great things about the house is that as a first time visitor, it would be almost impossible not to feel that you have rented a home that is affording you much more than you had expected.

A great place to stay for a comfortable, relaxing vacation!
What we value is that we worked directly with the owner, who is engaging, flexible, understanding and easy to work with. This property is located on a secluded part of Fripp Island, blended in with nature's beauty. It has a beautiful marsh view. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset whether sitting on the deck or lounging in the living room. The house far exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, impeccably decorated and very comfortable. Not only does the house have all the amenities of home, but they are next to new if not new and everything was spotlessly clean. The furniture is ample to accommodate a long read with a good book or to watch a movie on a rainy day. Having three good size bathrooms makes it easy for all to be ready at the same time. All of this is within walking distance of the beach. Staying at this house makes it very easy to have a wonderful, relaxing vacation. We look forward to returning next year.

Hurley Haven is so peaceful, relaxing and clean.
This is a perfect getaway for anyone! It is nestled along the relaxing marsh. There is lots of beautiful wildlife that roam the area. Hurley Haven is a close bike ride to the ocean. The beach is quiet and very clean. Many times you will see dolphins swimming close to the shore line. It is one of the most peaceful places to vacation. The home is professionally decorated and very clean. The beds are so comfortable, you hardly want to get up in the morning! There are so many amenities to this home, that you just need to bring clothes, food and basic necessities. We have come here for 8 consecutive years and love it every time. There are is a great Captain in the area, who will take families/couples/groups out on the ocean for adventures. The area has great shelling and fishing. We have averaged finding 50+ conch shells per visit and have even caught shark! There is so much to do in the area. Beaufort is a close drive and has some great restaurants. There is a fishery close by where you can purchase fresh fish and shrimp to cook up at the house. We just can't say enough great things about staying at Hurley Haven. It is the most peaceful and relaxing vacation. Our entire family looks forward to it every year.

This is a great place to get away from it all. It was so quiet and peaceful. The view of the marsh and marina was great. Was nicely decorated and set up for two families. You can ride bikes, kayak, walk, or nothing.
