Kingfisher Waterfront Paradise! Waterfront! Dock Access! Close to the Roche Harbor! Peaceful, waterfront house with dock nested in a half-acre of fir and cedar forest on Davison Head is a haven of natural beauty and tranquility. From the cedar deck overlooking secluded Neil Bay you can hear the sounds of bald eagles, blue herons and kingfisher. A pleasant 15-minute walk will take you to Roche Harbor Marina and Airport where you can enjoy a grocery store, shopping and award-winning dining. The house is a 20-minute drive from the ferry terminal in Friday Harbor. **Tides in Neil Bay can be extreme and during low tide, the water can get low enough for the dock to be beached. At zero tide there is approximately zero feet of water. Please contact the office for special instructions regarding dock usage.** This over 4000 square foot home offers a warm ambiance with its cedar log construction and cherry hardwood floor. The open floor plan and stunning waterfront views leave guests in awe as they enter the home. The gourmet kitchen with open fir cabinets is a welcoming area to enjoy the local produce and seafood bounty from the island. The living room is a sunny area for reading or a short nap after an island bike ride. A separate room contains the HDTV (Chromecast TV, you will need to log into the apps with your own info) and gas fireplace for the cooler evenings. A primary suite upstairs has a King sized bed, walk-in shower and bath tub with a magnificent water view. A second guest bedroom upstairs is equipped with a Queen sized bed and an extra Twin bed for little guests, also with a private en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The third bedroom on the main level also features a Queen sized bed with an adjacent bath and combination bathtub/ shower. There is also one additional bathroom on the main level that has a walk-in shower. A spacious daylight basement has a game room including a pool table/ ping-pong table, card and foosball table, and a futon bed available. Just outside is the path to the private floating dock where a multitude of water activities can be enjoyed, including kayaking, canoeing and standup paddle boarding. Finish your day on the lovely cedar deck overlooking Neil Bay as you enjoy an outdoor barbeque dinner among friends. The seabirds and wildlife will be sure to ease you into the relaxing island lifestyle. Fire pits are not usable from May 1st-September 30th due to county burn ban and safety of property and neighboring areas. Ban is usually lifted October 1st if/when conditions and weather are favorable. Firewood not provided. Internet Speed Test Results… Download Speed: 27.09 Mbps, Upload Speed: 18.23 Mbps, Ping: 62.6 ms (Average of three tests that were conducted in January of 2022 using SpeedCheck Pro). We had a 4 day stay in this stunning site and only wish we could have stayed longer. We used the dock for our kayaks and had a blast. Boys loved the game room, wish there was a modern large screen TV TV and newer softer mattresses. Love the home and location.

What fun we had in such a lovely environment! Our four-night stay consisted of a sibling/spouse get-together, including seven members of my family, mostly from the mid-west. The house was beautiful and perfect to allow plenty of time for varied interactions and also space for privacy. The grounds were attractive and the dock was fun. We were able to watch sunsets from the community beach and walk the pleasant neighborhood.

The house was perfect for us… We loved the clean, private, cozy house! The house had everything we needed. The dock was great too! We were able to catch fish and go for relaxing boat rides. We just might be back!

It was a bonus to have a game room with ping pong, pool and fuse ball. Our suggestion is that there be fold up beach chairs or light weight chairs that could be taken to the dock to socialize and enjoy the view. Also, the kitchen could use more plastic, leftover containers and measuring utensils. Otherwise, it's a perfect place!

Great place for our needs. The house was well maintained and worked very well for 3 adult couples. Very close to Roche which was part of what we were looking for. We were able to use the dock for our boat at the appropriate tides. Had a fabulous stay, including the deer in the yard!

Kingfisher was a great place for the three couples in our group. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is a generous size and we had plenty of room to maneuver there to cook group meals. The only drawback for our group was the steep stairs down to the water and we decided against trying to get kayaks down to the dock to launch. But there was an area not far away available to park and launch from there. I highly recommend San Juan Property Management and the Kingfisher property. We'd love to go back!

this is a great vacation home, very roomy well stocked nicely decorated, it exceeded our expectations, we all had a great time and hope to be back sometime.
P.S. the fresh flowers were a nice touch, we loved the Sweet Peas a lot!!!
P.S.S. one of us twisted her ankle on the first day going down the deck to the water, those rocks have to be replaced with something safer. A sign is not good enough.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything was in good condition, and as described. We used the dock for our paddleboards - but not at low tide. The only thing missing were drinking glasses in the kitchen - the largest non-wine glasses are just 4 oz juice glasses. Please get some 12 or 16 oz glasses! If that's the only thing we could think of to write - then it's was really all good.

Wonderful location close to Roche Harbor. We loved the secluded location and lovely deck. Private dock for launching paddle boards and kayaks was why we chose this home. Odd for owner to show up unannounced and use the boat dock in the middle of our stay.

The house worked great for our family, there were 3 couples & 2 young children in our group & there was plenty of space for us.
One negative was the lack of lighting out on the deck. We had a fire in the fire pit one night & had a hard time getting down the path because it was so dark. We could not find any kind of porch light out there. Rather dangerous.
Other than that, it's a nice place for families. we would love to go back!

Everything about the unit was as described, with a few well-thought-out extra touches. The kitchen had plenty of what we needed. FYI, the coffee pot is a standard pot and not a K-cup type, which is always a question. The setting is beautiful, with lots of wildlife and views of both sunrises and sunsets from the dock. The management company was responsive to my questions, thorough and as flexible as they could be. I would definitely recommend this place.

First, I’d like to clarify that this is a 4 bedroom/4 bathroom house. It’s not advertised as such, and that would’ve been helpful to me when I was looking for a rental.
Overall, the house is fine, and it’s spacious. Plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen could use some better (bigger) glasses and better pots/pans, but I made do with what I had. The mattress in the master bedroom needs replacing. My husband and I had to sleep separately because there is a spring poking up on the side of the bed closest to the bathroom. Also, there isn’t a door on the master bedroom that leads down the stairs. It’s kind of a strange setup. It’s like a loft with a totally open bathroom (toilet has a door), and there isn’t a closet or a dresser to unpack your clothes. There is a clothes rack to hang some things, but there were only a few hangers. The other 3 rooms were fine according to my other family members that stayed in them.
The outdoor space is lovely, and the views are stunning. We spent a lot of time out on the back deck overlooking Neil Bay.
The cleaning person showed up a bit early, so make sure you’re out of there no later than 10am sharp.
I would really give the house 3.5 stars, but that’s not an option. I stay in A LOT of vacation rentals all over the world. This one could use some work, but it wasn’t the worst. I think it’s overpriced and a bit over advertised. I expect more when paying $600/night after fees and taxes.

It was the perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy a Pacific Northwest vacation. We crab fished from our kayak, which was easy to do from the dock, and biked into Roche Harbor many days we were there to get great donuts and play bocci. It was spectacular.

Perfect spot!
A beautiful place - quiet & private, but also very close to Roche Harbor and the drive to and from Friday Harbor was beautiful and easy. Perfect access for those who love to paddle. Loved seeing the wildlife too - otters, deer and a little raccoon!

Great house! Beautiful location!
Pictures does not due this justice! Huge house with beautiful view. We spent a lot of time on the dock with our own SUP and kayak we brought. The deck is great for sitting and drinking coffee in the morning. We had 8 people plus a baby and plenty of room to spread out! Definitely stay at this house if you have the opportunity!

It’s on the North end of the island - so if you want to be closer to Friday Harbor this might not be your best option. However, it’s only a 20” drive to town Amd about a 30” drive to South Beach. I found the accommodations perfect for our 3 nuclear family pod :). The kitchen had nice appliances and the deck had the most amazing view. It was the perfect blend of peaceful retreat and play in our opinion.

We picked this house because of the dock access. So after hauling our our boat over, and paying the extra ferry charge, it was extremely difficult to enjoy the water front.
My kids found a cool tree fort in front of the house. It quickly became off limits too when it started to break while the kids were on it. The size was nice for our family, just wish the outside amenities were more usable.

We showed up to the island a bit early and we were notified when the house was available. When we arrived the directions provided to get in the home were easy to follow and exactly as noted. We were suprised to find an entire extra bedroom in the home!! The Master upstairs has an amazing view and beautiful on suite then on the main floor 2 queen bedrooms with a bathroom right there for their use, right above those two rooms is a 4th room with a queen and twin. Then there is the media room that has an attached bathroom with walk in shower. A guest could easily sleep in that room with all the privacy of the other rooms. Then there is the downstairs with all the movies books and games, along with easy access to the fire pit and doc. The kitchen literally has everything you could possibly need to cook your meals along with some amazing local seasonings, blender, and food processor. The only thing I could not find was a lighter to get the fire going. Luckily one of the girls in my group had one. What a beautiful view from the fire pit, deck, house. We will definitely stay here again.

This home exceeded our expectations. We were gathering with extended family. We loved that there were main level bedrooms and bathrooms so my parents did not have to climb a flight of steps. My kids loved the charming loft bedroom. We launched our kayak from the dock! We also loved the ample space for cooking and eating together.

The property exceeded all expectations- seriously the photos do not do this place justice. The house itself is situated in a very quiet neighborhood, surrounded by woods, with a private dock and massive deck overlooking the beautiful water. There were even fresh cut dahlias which I thought were such a nice touch. We brought our own paddle board and enjoyed our coffee on the dock watching the deer across the way. Roche harbor was a quick drive, and we enjoyed sunsets on the isthmus just down the road. It is totally tranquil and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
