The Lakes Region is near all the wonderful attractions, art galleries, hiking/biking/fishing/golf, shopping as well as the restaurants! Weir's Beach is a long time family favorite and only 1/4 mile away from the condo. There you'll find the beach (of course) as well as the boardwalk, arcades, more restaurants, the scenic railway station and the drive-in movie theater. Weirs Beach, or "The Weirs" as it is referred to by locals, is named for a wide, sandy, public beach on Lake Winnipesaukee. Adjacent to the beach and comprising the center of the village are a boulevard and boardwalk that run along a quarter mile stretch of Lakeside Ave. The main summer port of the Winnipesaukee Flagship Company's MS Mount Washington is located on the boulevard. A large public dock is also evident at this popular stop for boaters on Lake Winnipesaukee. On the opposite side of the street are several seasonal arcades and vendors that have been located there for many years. The Winnipesaukee Pier juts out into the lake from the main boulevard. The pier was constructed in 1925 and was a bustling spot for many years attracting many of the most famous big band groups of the time. Many families come to visit because mom and/or dad came with their own parents when they were kids. It's fun to share the drive in experience with little ones and they love watching the Weirs Beach fireworks from the window in the summer! Family favorites, such as go karts, batting cages, rock climbing and mini golf are also nearby. The condo is located only 8 miles from Gunstock Mountain. The Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion is 4 miles away. And less than a mile from Funspot - "The World's Largest Arcade".
