Super clean apartment thoughtfully supplied with everything you need in the kitchen and for the beach. Shower pressure is amazing and bed is very comfortable. Highlight is the wonderful view from the inside of the apartment and outside on the porch (views of Maalaea Bay and Haleakala). Great for whale watching in season and there are also green sea turtles daily on the beach below the property. Centrally located and good value for the price.

Our bottom floor condo had all of the amenities we needed and more! The closets were stocked with gear for fishing, paddling, snorkeling, etc. Large outside barbeque with pool and chairs made us like we didn't miss out an anything if we just stayed at the condo. We cooked at least one meal a day at the condo which is close to a private-like park at the end of the street. This was perfect for our needs and the value was amazing. This was our most memorable stay in Hawaii and we will be back!

I loved that it was on the 1st floor and accessible for anyone who wanted to go out on the porch area. The view was excellent and the completely was quiet. Although there were quest enjoying the outside close to my room it was not obvious. I would definitely rent again this apartment and it was convenient to Kahului, the airport and other areas on the island. Mahalo

My family and I just got back and this place was perfect to have stayed at, it's a close distance from the airport and a parking pass is provided. My only problem was that although it states it can fit 4 people, the futon was completely outdated and the mattress was dirty. We had to place a blanket over it. I would recommend they change it out but other than that we loved being able to access the pool and hot tub and seeing sea turtles right by the water every morning!

We enjoyed waking up every morning to blue water and palm trees!
Condo 105 is private with the grass and a hedge that blocks us from the pool.
After a couple of days, we realized that 8 to 10 turtles hang out everday feeding among the rocks right along the coast in front of this condo unit, awesome!
Had a great time and we'll be back.

The location was great and central to hit all the must see items on the island (we loved being close to Paia and Lahaina). The pool itself was great for the kids and they thoroughly loved it. The patio was lovely to sit at in the evenings and listen to the ocean - the condo complex was quiet overall. There were also beach toys available for beach trips. We were within walking distance of the Ocean aquarium and harbour for tours. Some downsides to this unit: it lacked a functional table space for 4 people inside (the table had two seats and the 2 counter seats were at an inadequate height so made eating difficult for the adults, outside there was 4 seats though), we personally found with 4 people it was hard to run the a/c all night to keep the bedroom at a comfortable temperature (the front room got chilly but even with the help of a fan we felt bad running the ac all night bc of the kids in the front room were getting iced out). Overall, I'd recommend an inventory check of dishes/cups (e.g., there was one wine glass etc.) and a deep clean (already addressed with the management company). They were a bit slow to respond. All in all, we had a great time (you are in Hawaii so not much to complain about). We stayed at 4 different locations for our time there but there would need to be a few items worked out before we stayed at this unit again.

Property is on the ground floor of a ocean view complex. Though there are quiet hours mandated in the complex, people dont necessarily comply especilly if you are flying in from the mainland and you wake up early due to the time difference. Being on the ground floor, you definitely hear the chatter much more and there is less privacy on the ground floor as well. This property is managed by Vacasa vacation rentals and booking through VRBO just adds an additional fee that you wont be charged if you book directly through Vacasa. I figured this out after the booking. I dont feel this extra charge should be pawned off to the renter. Property comes with four Tommy Bahama beach chairs which are so useful. Linens were clean. Hotel sized Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Body Lotion provided, along with towels.

As advertised. Saw some whales in the distance. Clean. AC was a bit noisy, and snorkeling gear was missing goggles. Yes, we'd choose this place again.

Place is as advertised. Comfortable furniture. All the amenities. We brought the kids swimming before we checked in for our flight. We were rudely told to be quiet, so we abruptly stopped our swimming. Pretty tough to tell a 4 and 6 year old to be quiet in the pool. Other than that, I’d stay here again without children, though.

The view is amazing and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make a meal, do dishes and wash clothes. The decor needs some tender loving care as the chairs look worn, the drapes in the bedroom wouldn't close due to rust on the rod, the safety bar for the sliding glass door was broken and there was dust bunnies covering the ceiling in the bedroom. All in all this a great location if you want to watch the whales and plan on seeing all sides of the island as it's a central point.

The unit is older unit but most of them are. It’s a great spot, easy to sweep up the sand from the beach, we had a minor issue with the patio door and someone was here to fix it within an hour on a Saturday. We had 2 adults, a baby, and 5 year old; it was tight but we came for the beach not to sit inside so it worked.

Home was clean an functional an nice .. pool was great an spa .. the turtles on the beach huge bonus :) nothing like seeing whales out for a swim when your eating your breakfast :) lots of little extras that came in handy .. great spot

Dirty unit. Found food on chairs. Cockroaches in the unit. No one came to clean it. Sofa was extremely worn out. There were flies in the house. There was a container outside the balcony containing stagnant dirty water with flies around it. Patio furniture was dirty. House is outdated and needs upgrade. Not worth the price. Kitchen is well equipped and the view is decent.

This wasn’t luxury by any means, but the room was great for our family and our needs. We saw turtles, whales, swam in the pool and it was great. The neighborhood and the overall feel of the property was a bit older and run down. But we also didn’t take to Maui like we did Kauai. The room itself was comfortable, clean, has everything we needed to cook, plus complimentary washing stuff, towels and beach toys.

Great location - easy access to everywhere we were going. Weather was quite warm & we did need to run the a!c unit. It was a little on the loud side & the coolness did not quite reach the bedroom in the front - using the fan helped to push the cooler air.

My wife and I visited for our honeymoon and we loved it. Being able to hear the waves crashing from your room then walk down to the rocky beachfront was so convenient. We saw so many sea turtles at high tide when they came up to feed. It’s a great central location between the west side of the island and the north and south sides. The managers at Maalaea Banyans were so helpful with giving us tips on what to see on the island and all the best stops on the road to Hana. This was an awesome experience!

Ghetto unit. Poorly appointed. Uncomfortable furniture & bed. Cannot believe it’s listed for 4 ppl as that would be highly uncomfortable. Slum landlords is how it translated to me. Worst unit i have ever rented. I will never rent this place again and I don’t write many reviews but this ghetto unit called for an honest description. The rental Service was 5 stars but it is clear the owners of the unit are slum lords. It beat staying in a tent bc there was a toilet and that’s all I will say positive about it. This review is written weeks after my stay, meaning, I am no longer upset. This is my takeaway. Keep looking.

Maalaea Banyans grounds are very well kept, parking is easy and close to your condo! There is a small beach at the property line but very rocky so no easy entry. However, at the end of the street is the start of Sugar Beach at Haycraft Park and it goes on for miles and is not overly populated. It is great for morning sunrise beach walks!! The Harbor Market is within walking distance and offers hot meals, smoothies, coffee, and much more! I love the ground floor ease of access to the property. The condo itself is comparable for the per night pricing in HI but def needs paint etc. The kitchen is well stocked as is the closet with beach towels, and accessories!! The condo was clean and good for a family of 3. We will book this condo again!

Great beach front condo with everything you need!
This condo has everything you need. It was well equipped with things you need for your stay. The view was amazing. The neighbors were quiet and sea turtles right outside the condo was so cool. Loved the kittens around the lawn. There’s a pool right outside your patio which was really nice. Overall this condo was a great choice. Looking for a more quiet place to stay, this place is it.

The condo was very clean. Had more amenities and things than we needed which was great. Plus they had water gear and toys which made it even better. Didn’t have to buy anything. The condo had its own patio, incredible views and was overall a very enjoyable stay.

On the day we arrived, we walked down to check out the beach, and there was a sea turtle taking a nap. We saw hundreds of them swimming all around the rocks on our visit. Our condo had a ground floor patio where we drank coffee and watching whales breach in the distance. We were in walking distance to shops, excursions, restaurants and the marina. We took a whale watching cruise with the Pacific Whale Foundation and saw lots of whales. The condo was well-equipped and right next door to family who was also visiting Maui. I was so happy with where we stayed. It was perfect for our needs. The only criticism would be that it was a little dated but it had what we needed. It was in a great location and I thought for what it had to offer, was a good value.

On the day we arrived, we walked down to check out the beach, and there was a sea turtle taking a nap. We saw hundreds of them swimming all around the rocks on our visit.
