Nice spacious house and very accommodating hosts. Plenty of room to keep larger groups comfortable. Great views of the sound and rainier from the back porch. We enjoyed playing games on the large lawn.

Thanks for everything! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything imaginable and the house worked great for our conference. The house is roomy and temperature control was great. The only things I would update/change are the listing says there is a jetted tub but I did not find one and the bathroom door on the first floor needs to be looked at.

The house was a perfect setting for my extended family for my daughters wedding weekend! The kitchen had everything we needed to have a brunch for the bridesmaids as they got ready on the wedding day. The beds were awesome, the views and decor exude pure charm! I would highly recommend a stay at Lavender Hill!

I rented this property for out of town artist students that attended my outdoor watercolor workshop. Everyone raved about the comfortable accommodations, beautiful grounds and stunning views. We had all our meals on the covered porch overlooking the harbor. I believe it's the best VRBO on the island.

Our stay at Lavender Hill Farm exceeded our expectations! We were here to celebrate our Mom's 85th birthday. She so enjoyed her stay here and we will cherish the memories of our visit for years to come. It is such a beautiful home with amazing views from the front porch. Cathy, the owner, is very nice and she helped make our stay a pleasant one. Janett, who takes care of the property, also helped make our stay a more comfortable one. We rented Lavender Hill Farm for our annual girlfriends' retreat. The house was nearly perfect. It had plenty of bedrooms, was charmingly decorated, had a beautiful garden and a spectacular view. There was room enough for all of us to eat together, and we enjoyed taking long walks around the Burton Peninsula. We felt relaxed and refreshed when the weekend was over. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars was that it lacked a hot tub. We would have loved to soak in an outdoor hot tub under the stars. However, the lack of a hot tub will not keep us from booking again next year. We can't wait to return to this enchanting home.

I had an art retreat at the home. Beautiful setting and so easy to gather, cook and create. All linens beautiful and everyone felt spoiled. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom towels beautiful. Communication while we were there was quick and efficient. The setting can’t be beat. Would definitely rent again for a group. Thank you!

We are a group of women (9 this year) who went to high school together and gather every two years in different parts of the country. This was one of our best gatherings, and the Lavender Hill Farm was a big part of the reason why. It was perfect for walking, talking, cooking in the beautiful, amazingly well-stocked kitchen, and soaking in the beauty of the harbor and surrounding land. We would most definitely ret;urn for another reunion. The welcoming information from Cathy and the warm personal welcome from Janette were especially appreciated. Thank you!

We came to Lavender Hill Farm for our wedding ceremony. Upon entering it literally brought tears to my eyes. My family could not believe that this was the place where we would all stay. Every inch of this place was filled with beauty and grace. The rooms all had a unique theme, artwork on every wall. A fireplace that made the entire living room area so cozy. A ton of boardgames in which, I didn't even notice that my entire family and I were not on our phones at all for 3 days! ( unheard of these days) The kitchen allowed for 8 of us to pitch in and cook at the same time. I don't know when something like that has ever been possible. There were apple and pear trees outside that we had the pleasure of sampling the fresh fruit. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom where there was a claw foot tub, wrap around view of the water, amazing sunrise and sunset. A variety of birds that would land on the property day and night, so much life all around us reminding us of what a blessing each moment truly is. We are already planning on booking this place again for a possible family gathering in the future. Thank you Cathy for creating this magical vortex, that enabled all of us to come together.

We enjoyed the most incredible few days at Lavender Hill Farm. Cathy (owner) and Janet (house manager) were both kind and professional and pleasant throughout the planning. The house was adorable with the most AMAZING views! Everything was spotless! The windows were sparkling and the views out each one was spectacular. We had a small family celebration, and we are all still talking about how wonderful it was! Six bedrooms! All of our guests commented on how comfortable the beds were. It really is the sweetest most darling place.

Lavender Hill Farm is an exquisite way to show your family the beauty of Vashon Island. When you're not enjoying views of Rainier from the deck, or soaking up the sun surrounded by lavender, you'll be loving the clean decor of the house, the warm sunlight streaming in through large windows and the incredibly stocked kitchen. My family is Italian, and we LOVE to cook. This kitchen had everything and more that we were looking for. We baked, barbecued, made cakes and cookies for a tea party, canned some krauts and veggies, hosted a surprise birthday party - if you love to cook, this is the place for you. The bedrooms were all so comfortable and large. With a Martha Stewart meets Laura Ingalls Wilder vibe, you're going to be comfortable wherever you stay. The master bath offers the perfect place for a girls' night (i.e. facials with cucumbers and bath robes), and an incredible view from the bedroom. The deck is a perfect place for a cup of coffee and a good book, and the yard is excellent for an evening meal with wine and music. Basically, this house will accommodate whatever you want to do. And if you have any questions, Jannett is so helpful and will readily answer any questions or offer help if you need it. The fireplace and dining room offered the perfect place for our family to sit and talk, look at photos and play fun games. This house helped us to slow down and enjoy being together, sharing stories and memories. Some members of the family thought of going into Seattle, but Vashon presented us with so many fun activities and the house offered such warmth and character, that we never left. I live on Vashon, and I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone who is looking for a Pacific Northwest Island getaway. You're only 15 minutes from town, and if you need something in a pinch, there is a small general store just steps away. But really, you're getting away from it all and soaking up those island vibes. You will not regret visiting Lavender Hill. I promise!

A perfect get away for a group of 5 or 6 ( or more!). Comfortable beds, clean rooms, large kitchen that is very well-stocked (if you want to cook), exceptional views from the large sitting porch....and lavender!

My extended family stayed this past weekend. It was lovely, comfortable and animal-hair free. My nephews basked on the porch, marveled at the view, and lived the neighborhood.
