Our family group of 12 just got back from our 4-night stay. We had a great time, loved the themed rooms, and found that the house was well-stocked with items that we needed (including laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, and conditioner). The rooms were as described, and the pool was gorgeous.
We had no trouble getting into the house and the communication with the property management was quick and efficient.
Our few areas of disappointment were related to the general condition of the house. There is a decent amount of damage throughout, and the property just needs some TLC. Ripped wallpaper, missing baseboards, chipped paint, etc.
The sewer smell in the master bathroom wasn't very bad when we arrived, but by the end it was awful. We had to leave the fan running with the bathroom door closed, and close the bedroom door so that the smell didn't spread throughout the house. I recalled reading about this issue in other reviews and had hoped that it had been resolved. It hasn't.
Our biggest issue was the vape found underneath a bed, in a pile of dust & dirt. The space underneath the bed had not been cleaned and a used vape could have been disastrous depending on what was in it. Thankfully, we got it away from the 4-year-old quickly.
We were locked out of the house as soon as we had loaded our cars, 30 minutes before checkout, and couldn't quickly get back in to retrieve a forgotten drink. Had to leave it.
Mostly minor issues, with an otherwise good place to stay.

This group was wonderful to work with. They were very responsive and helped us get into the house a little earlier as well as our plane arrived earlier than expected. Much appreciated!
The house you can tell has been well utilized over the years and has signs of needing love in a lot of areas. Missing tiles from baseboards, front window trim damaged heavily, these are just a few. The house was clean for sure, but it needs to have some work done to it and money reinvested.
Pool was SO fun and the kids loved it. Found out a week prior to arriving city law says can’t be outside even to quietly sit in hot tub with a cup of coffee until 9 am. This was also a bummer as we were up, excited to enjoy what we paid for, but had to watch the clock.
Pinball machine and goose all table were fun!
Neighborhood was a little iffy. Houses boarded up the one next door was taped off and completely wrapped in plastic due to termites. Not this vrbo owners fault. But being candid.
Location was wonderful and Disney is a cheap and quick Uber drive away! All in all it worked out great for our large family and it’s a great home, but definitely needs some major TLC.

We were very pleased with Rapunzel's Tower for 5 days with 15 of us on a big family trip to Disneyland.The house was spacious with a total of 6 bdms & 3 bathrooms. The kids were in the bunk rooms. The tower room seemed the best of the bunch, so there was a little argument with the teens who would get the room, but we figured it all out. It was about a 10 min drive to Disney, so not within walking distance, but we created a system of driving the group and then parking in a hotel close by & walking 10 min from there. It was close enough that we could go and get the car then drive everyone back around 1pm for a swim and a healthy lunch before going back for more Disney. We found there were not enough glasses, but a quick text & management brought over lots more. So if you lack anything just ask. The pool. hot tub & slide were well used by our group. The pool was a little chilly for me, but it was 82 degrees & the kids were good with it. We were disappointed the French doors in the living room didn't open to the pool but can see why. The kids would be running in & out all wet! We would have liked to have a coffee table in the living room to play games on and some side tables for drinks, maybe a rug to help dampen the sound of loud kiddie's voices, but these would be nice extras & not a big problem. Same outside, we did find one side table & utilized it. Lots of towels, good washing machine and even some spices & plastic wrap! The house was great for us. Highly recommend

It was a great place for our family. Plenty of places to sleep, lots of space to hang out. The house was very nice and the pool was perfect for the 7 kids we had with us.

Overall we had a great stay! We were a little bummed that the child gate for stairs was broken when we arrived but the property managers were quick to respond and replace the gate. Also quick to replace some lightbulbs that had gone out in upstairs bathroom. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. We loved having a home to come back to each night since we logged so much time and miles at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. My kids are already saying they want to go back to "their Disneyland house" next time. Ha!

The House was great for our family… We loved the pool and Hot tub and was a welcome respite after a day at the parks. The location was close to the parks… not really walking distance but a cheap Uber ride away. I loved that it had rooms for all our family and the open Space in the gathering areas. Some of the damage and obvious repairs were a little amateurish … but all of that was only a minor quibble. We had a great time… I would love to go again… for the amount we paid. There were only minor things wrong with the unit and we let them know on most of them and didn’t get an answer on some of things we identified. But , we didn’t worry about it, and most of them did not disrupt our enjoyment. Overall, It was a great vacation.

Very clean and accomodating. Was not sure at first, seemed to be very pushy about the trumendous amount of rules, I was unsure how to get a group of 14 to follow them, especially with half of them being children. It was not as bad as I predicted. Dont let the rules deter you from staying here. It was great and the kids loved and wished we could have stayed longer.

Loved to pool and hot tub. The met / exceeded our every expectation. Short drive to the Disney Park. Everyone enjoyed their time, Kids and adults alike.

We had 4 family units, 15 people total & wanted a place a reasonable distance from Disneyland. The kids were so excited to pick out their rooms even before we got there because of the Disney-themed rooms. There was room for us all & plenty of fridge/freezer space & laundry available.
The only issue that came up was the pool/spa heat charge, but no heat for the first part of our trip. We had a little trouble getting in touch with someone; however, once we did, they worked with us & they are continuing to work with us to take part of the heating fee off of our bill.
Staff has consistently been friendly & helpful before, during & after our stay.

The Rapunzel House was perfect for our family that consisted of ages between one years old to 63 years old. We were about six minutes away from Disneyland and there was great shopping close by for groceries and sundries. The kitchen was amazingly well appointed and included items such as a griddle to make large amounts of pancakes, a hand mixer, a blender and plenty of cutlery items. The refrigerator and freezer were new and well kept. I have an electric stove at home and cooking on a gas stove was such a delight.
The bedrooms were such fun for our little kids, they were swept up in the magic of sleeping in the cars room and princess room. They bought in to the whole Disney Magic feeling, which is exactly what we were looking for. The only room that has a kingbed is the Mickey Mouse Master but we knew that ahead of time and decided to book nonetheless. It would be nice to have a couple more kingbeds, but it wouldn't discourage us from booking again.
Sadly during the time we were staying at the house it rained hard everyday so we didn't get to use the pool or hot tub but we sure wanted to. The pool attendant showed up a couple of times for maintenance so the pool was very well maintained. Maybe we should come back in August just to use the pool and take advantage of the nice yard and BBQ set up.
We had a one year old in our group and he was fascinated by the front entry stairs and area, we tried several gates that were in the house already, which was great, but none of them were wide enough to cut of the whole area, I don't know how to rectify that but we did get tired of chasing him and encouraging him to not be in that area.
All in all we had a great stay at the Rapunzel House, I would highly encourage staying at this house. Don't be discouraged by the paperwork you have to do, Funtierland is doing a business and we had nothing but positive interactions with their staff.

Pros:
- Excellent Location

Cons:
- Paid a decent chunk of change for cleaning, but were asked to wash two loads of towels, wash the dishes, collect and take out all trash, etc. (seems unfair to pay a large cleaning fee and then be requested to clean the house before leaving).
- The bathroom drains had a terrible odor emanating from them and the smell filled other parts of the house unless the bathroom doors were closed.
- One of the bedrooms with an en suite bathroom was under construction and the space smelled strongly like wet drywall/plaster (we were informed that work was being done in the house on the day of our arrival, but the smell lingered for a couple of days).
- The bedroom on the second level did not have any air registers so it didn't get any heat and was incredibly cold for sleeping.
- The heat registers on the main floors in the bedrooms were in the ceilings, so when the heat kicked on in the early hours of the morning it would blast heat directly onto the beds making it very toasty for sleeping.
- The bedroom off of the kitchen had a sliding glass door that was impossible to open.
- The pillows were all incredibly thin and very uncomfortable for sleeping.
- We had to register every single guest with their full name and DOB, which was a bit of a headache and seemed unnecessary.

Good house for big family! Close to Disneyland
It was our first Cali/Disneyland family vacation. We had 8 adults and 6 children (between 5-8yrs old) & 1 toddler (19months). It had all the essentials for a big family! Disneyland themed rooms were a perfect touch. Big spacious living, dining room and kitchen. Good sized rooms with bathrooms for each families too. We loved the backyard and how the pool was gated pool with slide & hot tub for safety. Only downfall for the pool area were that the slide needed some patching up and had no swim gears for the kids. We did order from Amazon but kids ended up not even needing them.
Another thing that I personally did not like was the video cameras that was set up in the front door and backyard pool. Even if it wasn’t on, I just felt like someone was watching us. Last thing is that they have very strict rule about quiet hours, between 950pm-9am. That was not what I expected. I am on my vacation, it would have been nice to be out in the pool or hot tub.
Besides those 4 things, the Funtierland management were good and got back to me right away if I had questions. They updated with checkin, checkout or any reminders too.

I notified the property manager of a few things broken in the house & never got a response. On our last evening the house was sprayed by a skunk. The smell took over the ENTIRE house for more 5pm to 10am the next day. It was so bad it made my entire family sick. It ruined our clothing & luggage. I have washed our clothes several times & just can’t get the smell out. When I reached out to the property manager - I got zero response again. BUT when one of our cars was parked slightly over the driveway onto the sidewalk - they of course reached out but never address anything else.
You can tell the property had some updates that seemed to be done by themselves - kind of janky. The couch is terrible, no scissors in the house, the knives are horrible. You can hear everything downstairs from the upstairs room.

We have rented from VRBO for many years with wonderful experiences but this time it was different. Funteirland is the company that uses VRBO to lure people to rent from them. They accept your reservation but at the last minute send a message that you have to extend your reservation, or they will not continue your booking. I guess their acceptance of your reservation on VRBO means nothing until their contract is signed which is not offered until a week before check in. We called their bluff and told them that we would not sign their contract if they forced us to book more time. It was scary because the good homes were gone at this point. They finally accepted to keep our reservation as is. We were required to sign many pages of legal documents through DocuSign on two different occasions. A few days before check-in we started to receive nasty threatening messages which included a message that if any of our party steps foot outside after 10 pm then we will be fined thousands of dollars. There were also messages that stated that the pool would only be luke warm and if we touched the controls then we would be fined. There were many other threats. Honestly, we wished we would have gone to a hotel. When we arrived, the house was old and cold. The thermostat was rigged to not increase the heat over a few hours. We had paid extra for pool heat, but the pool was too cold for our children to swim. When we arrived, there was a weird man smoking in a car parked in front of the house. We are not sure if he was with the company but after he appeared to count our party he left. There was a strong smell of pot outside. Nevertheless, we made the most of it. In the future we will better vet the homes on VRBO and make sure to avoid this company or any other management company that uses VRBO to find renters.

The common space was great - except for the stairs down to the sitting room. They were a major tripping hazard. Also, with a house that sleeps 15, it only has one king size bed. It does cleary say that on the listing, but it didn't really register until we got to the house.
