It features 1 bedroom with a comfortable California King bed, 2 bathrooms with walk-in showers, a spacious living room with a queen pull-out sleeper sofa, as well as a comfortable queen murphy bed for even more sleeping space. It also sports a fully equipped remodeled kitchen and private covered lanai with partial ocean view. There is a large pool and activities reservation center onsite with an array of lawn games and equipment available for check-out as well as stand-up paddle board rentals. Security is maintained 24 hours and with easy self-check in you can access your suite any time of day or night. There is a courteous and helpful registration office with staff available and convenient free parking is right outside your door. There is a small workout room, shuffleboards, putting greens on property, and adjacent public tennis courts. The Maui Sunset is on Waiohuli Beach, an unspoiled, uncrowded area, and one of Maui's best kept secrets! World class golf courses and other great swimming and snorkeling beaches are nearby. We had a great stay at the condo with our three month old baby. It was really convenient being on the ground level with access right out the back door to the lanai and the coast. The condo was clean and comfortable, and the amenities within the condo complex were great for our family. Lots of good spots to eat within easy walking distance. We’d definitely return!

In 40+ years of visiting Maui, I’ve never stayed on south side, but this was a pretty cool spot! Room is nicely decorated, plenty of beach accessories in the closet for you to use, two bathrooms so it would be perfect for a family. I’d stay there again!

Easy to find and conveniently located.
The rooms are very tasteful. There was a stack of condiments from the predecessors.
The BBQ facilities are excellent.
There was play equipment, chairs, beach towels, parasols, body boards, and cooler boxes for spending time in the ocean.
We would use this unit again and would definitely stay here again.
The only thing that needs to be updated is the air conditioner.
It is a little noisy and the outdoor unit is sieve.

We loved our stay here, great location in the back of the property for our kids to run around while we ate breakfast each morning. Well stocked kitchen and beach amenities. Kids absolutely loved running around the lawn and the putting green.
Quick little walk to a beach filled with pretty coral, my 5YO loved that. If you wake up early enough, you can see several sea turtles on the same beach, just a little walk to the left!
Close driving distance to shops and farmers markets. Great central location on the island.

The property was pretty and grounds well maintained. The pictures posted make the beach area seem much nicer than it actually is. Condo was dirty and floors left our feet black. We found two large water bugs during our stay. Overall it was ok, but wouldn’t stay here again.

Exactly as what was described! The renovated one bedroom two bath was everything we hoped it would be. Great ground floor unit that allowed our two young boys to play on the lawn without us having to be right there was the peace that we were looking for. Putting green and pool were great amenities that gave us plenty to do at the condo outside of the many beach days we did. Speaking of beach trips, the unit was stocked full of beach chairs, umbrella and toys!! Can't say enough about this unit!

Our stay in Maui was nice. Didn't see any sea turtles so that was sad. The place was mostly clean. There were a few stains in the bathroom on the walls. I found a dead cockroach in the bedroom one day. It wasn't a very glamorous kind of place but worked as some where to rest our heads.
Next time, for the price, I'd rather stay at a resort.

We really enjoyed this stay. The unit and property were as advertised. The unit was clean, well stocked and we had everything we needed. It was nice to have access to a kitchen and be able to do laundry. The unit although being only one bedroom, easily slept our family of 4 (2 teenagers) with the pull out sleeper and Murphy bed in the living room. We didn’t feel cramped at all.
The location is close to restaurants, grocery stores and food options. The property is very well maintained and we enjoyed the beach, pool/ hot tub and other activities offered. We would come back to this unit for sure!

We knew Maui Sunset as we previously stayed at Leinaala which is right next to the place but the overall grade was higher at Maui Sunset than Leinaala. Everything was very well maintained. The only issue that bothered us was that we were told only a few days before our check-in by the management company that ‘a major construction work’ was expected to be underway in one week time and that the lawn would be closed, access to Lanai would be restricted’. We find this last-minute notification extremely unprofessional and even not very ethical from a guest’s point of view.
It turned out that there had been no work started by the time we left at the end of our stay but there were no explanations/apologies given to us.

Propety is beautiful. Grounds were impressive. Loved the location right on the ocean. Wayne was very responsive to a few minor issues. Our only complaint was the furniture in the unit needs to be upgraded. Specifically the couch. Very worn and dirty cushions. We ended up covering the couch with a large quilt. Bedroom was clean and very nicely decorated.

This was a nice place for the price. It was clean and had all the beach supplies, like chairs and coolers, that we needed. The 2 bathrooms was a plus, although quite small. Check in process was slightly confusing because I originally drove to the Aloha Aku location and not the Maui Sunset. All of the emails/texts come from Aloha Aku which is why I was confused. Anyway, it all worked out. Thanks.

This condo was the perfect home away from home. It is exactly as shown in the photos. Located on South Kihei road it is a quick walk to the beach to watch the amazing Maui sunsets and a quick walk to Azeka Shopping Mall for coffee, food etc. The unit was very clean and in very good condition. The pool was the perfect temperature and the Wednesday night concerts in the court yard was an added bonus!

This was such a perfect stay for me, my baby, and mom visiting family back home. My hadn’t been back to Maui for over 20 years, so this was the perfect place for us for our short stay. Comfy and clean with many amenities and Maui Sunset is located in the perfect area in Kihei.

Clean, open condo with everything you need to make your trip special. Literally steps from the beach and a great place to catch a beautiful sunrise/sunset. Complex has several amenities (pool, fitness center, golf putting green) as well with friendly, respectful neighbors. Overall great experience, would highly recommend!

Maui Sunset is a great resort. This was our first time staying here and the condo was great. Very clean and updated. Kids loved being on the ground floor so they could run around in the big open grass area.
Pool is awesome. Not many condo resorts have heated pools so this was definitely a plus. The master bed mattress was by far the most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on!
Would definitely stay again.

This was our first time to Maui and we’re so glad we stayed here. The ground floor condo was perfect for having a crawler. We enjoyed the putting green just steps from the lanai and utilized the grills almost every night. We were impressed that the grills were cleaned every day. Every guest that we interacted with was kind, friendly, and helpful. The unit itself was updated and well maintained. We were very thankful for the closet of beach gear. The hosts were quick to reply with any requests. We were very thankful to have a washer and dryer. Can’t wait to come back!

The grounds were outstanding. Fabulous pool, centre court and beach front area. The condo was perfect with all the ammenities for our family of 4 - a toddler and an infant. The condo was exactly as pictured. It was located a short drive from shops, restaurants and main beaches. Would highly recommend this place to anyone vacationing in Kihei.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights - and spent the rest of our vacation at 2 other VRBO condos at different locations on the island.
The unit was as expected and we especially liked the ground floor location so our children could head out in the grounds and enjoy the croquet, golf putting, shuffleboard etc. One thing to note is that the unit is one of the farthest from the pool and beach. We liked that the pool area was quiet and we could always find chairs to sit at.
Although there were some minor cleanliness issues - and a lot of bug traps throughout the unit - it did not greatly impact our stay.
The beach chairs and boogie boards were great to have access to as we often travelled to other beaches.

Very clean and great place to stay. Good location right down the street from grocery store, restaurants , and bars. Recommend Nalu’s grill, kraken coffee, Isana’s sushi, and Diamonds ice bar and grill.

From the communication prior to our arrival, to the accuracy in the description and photos of the unit…our stay in A102 was perfect. Well appointed kitchen and plenty of beach gear. Lanai is sunny ALL the time, it seems. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit. One kiddo utilized the sofa bed, while the other was on the Murphy bed. King bed in bedroom. A/C units in main area and bedroom and kept the unit comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the grill often and although the beach/water is quite rocky…the sunsets from the property were a perfect way to spend most evenings.

Fantastic location, great amenities and just right for our little family getaway. It is a small, but cozy space. We loved the pool and private beach that was spectacular at sunset. We couldn’t stream anything on the tv, but there was cable to watch something when we were tired from our busy days. We would stay here again.
