Nestled in Willard Beach, this lovely house for £429 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This is the Extremely rare. "On the Beach" Beach house. Over 100 years old. This charming Old Ocean Front Inn was converted in the 80's to a 2 family home. I live in 1 unit. It is rich in character and history and has been modernized with everything you could need. Steps off the deck onto the sandy beach. Breath taking views from your 40' deck overlooking Willard Beach and the islands. Watch the ships, from cruise ships over 1000' and tankers as big to the local lobster men as they all pass right in front of you. Located on a neighborhood beach, this home is only 10 minutes from Portland's Old Port Area and the waterfront. House is comfortably furnished and all you need to provide is your sunblock and beach towels. I,ll make sure you have everything else you need.

Wonderful rental with everything needed for our family celebration. Three bedrooms provided comfortable sleeping space. Large dining table was perfect for our Thanksgiving meal. Fantastic views, walks on the beach, and a cozy fireplace made it hard to leave. A short drive to downtown Portland to watch the tree lighting ceremony and Christmas festivities was no problem. Thank you John for exceeding our expectations in every way. The beach toys and activities for our two year old were a big plus.

Just like in the pictures the house faces the water in a great location in South Portland. The space is very nice for a family: 3 bedrooms, with the largest facing the water, and a sizable living room. The building is traditional "old Maine" with some upgrades, e.g., bath/shower and washer-dryer are newer, but the kitchen is older, small but functional. The host is friendly & responsive.

We truly enjoyed our experience staying in this home. The owner, John, was a so kind and friendly. The views were more than we expected, from the beach to cruise ships rolling through the harbor, and light houses and schooners passing through the bay. It was so lovely.

First off, John is an awesome human being and very attentive, but chill. This upstairs of a large residence is on the beach and has a beautiful deck which is great for sipping morning coffee or an evening beverage. If my travels take me back to the Portland area, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks, John!

Came to celebrate graduation weekend for my niece. This property was greatvgathering point with the best views and super location close to everything. John was so friendly and welcoming. Great place!

It was perfect! The view was amazing and the host,John is great. We go away for mothers day weekend each year and this was probably the top place so far! beautiful porch that looks right over the beach . We sat there all day on a hot sunny Saturday. Then to s great sea food place the the host recommended. It was great! Thanks, John.see you next year!

John is amazing and is a great host. The best Vrbo experience ever! PS The best shower, too! Loved our stay! Took a billion pictures at sunset….. sunrise is right behind the point… spectacular!!!!

Family friendly community beach location. This upstairs rental has amazing views from inside its sliding glass doors on cooler days but being out on the balcony was the best part! Inside was clean and comfortable.

This rental is perfect for your furry friend! It's right on the most popular "dog beach" in the Portland area. The other major attraction is the spectacular view! It would be easy to just sit on the deck all day watching the light change over the day on the ocean and harbor islands.

The property is dog, friendly, but even more, so is the beach, which allows dogs off leash in the morning and evening. Great long walks on the beach with beautiful sunsets. House was cozy and had everything we needed. John was a great accommodating host and our check in and check out were problem free. This is definitely a repeat location for our family gatherings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at John’s place. Located right on the beach , super comfy beds and linens. Well stocked kitchen. John greeted us and was super friendly. We had a great time. Especially enjoyed watching all the New Years swimmers. Super nice friendly neighborhood. Thanks John!

The view is beautiful. The ships come very close to the house which is awesome. The house needs some work. This was our third year in this house. Very close to Portland stores and restaurants.
