Die Lage ist prima, Der direkte, kurze Fußweg zum Palmenstrand ist toll und ermöglicht es easy vor oder nach den Menschenmassen da zu sein.
Wer eine einfach Unterkunft für verhältnismäßig wenig Geld sucht, wird vielleicht damit zufrieden sein.
Undichte Wasserleitung im Bad. Der Badezimmerboden war ständig unter Wasser. Schrank und Balkontüren waren nicht abzuschließen, zu schließen. Der Abschuss sind allerdings die Klimaanlagen der Zimmer, deren Aussengeräte so montiert sind, dass es wirklich laut dröhnt, vor allem wenn es Nachts eigentlich so schön ruhig sein könnte.
Die Taverne schließt um 20 Uhr und beim Nachbarn sieht es auch nicht besser aus. Wenn mann also nicht um 19 Uhr essen will, sondern zu griechenlandtypischen, der Hitze angemessenen Zeiten, braucht man auf jeden Fall das Auto.
Das Frühstück war schlecht und im Verhältnis zur Unterkunft recht teuer(2 Espresso Fredo, 2 Yoghurt mit Honig und 1 Tiropita (Tiefkühlware) für 21 Euro)

great location close to the beach. Good restaurant just below our room. V friendly. Room was spacious with balcony and clean.
Nothing, the location is busy during the day but you have the beach to yourself come evening time or early morning after the day trippers have left. great for star gazing and Astrophotography, super dark sky with almost no light pollution.

Lovely clean, quiet room. The staff were very friendly - they didn't even ask who I was, so must have been ready for my arrival! Lovely breakfast after a very windy (and therefore sleepless) night. Great location to do the Preveli gorge hike, which sadly I couldn't do because of the wind, but I did get the beach all to myself as a reward.
It would have been great to have a bottle of water in the room.

This is the Greece we search for. Absolutely the perfect end for a fabulous vacation on Crete. Worth every hairpin turn. Amalia and her family make it very difficult to leave. Do not miss this spot and their taverna on your trip here. The sea was beyond any expectations my mind could conjure. Crete from 40 years ago is a blessing. We leave renewed

The owners were very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay there. It was totally calm in the night and we made some very nice hiking walks from the hotel. The food downstairs in the taverne was really good and traditional. Efachisto póly!!!:-)

Quiet and peaceful. very close to beach. had a lovely view from our room but some may be obstructed by a new build. staff were friendly and helpful. food was nice in the taverna.
only 2 places to eat and one shuts at 6pm, the taverna at the rooms shuts their kitchen at 8pm so could be a problem for those who arrive late as there is nothing else nearby.
we would have appreciated mosquito shutters on window/doors as our room was full of bugs.

I loved everything about staying here!! The spacious room with wonderful terrace, the wonderful host Amalia, the best home made food served at the tavern on the ground floor and the location!! You cannot get better than this and it was definitely the highlight of our Cretan tour. I highly recommend spending at least one or two nights here!
Bathroom is very basic and shower curtain system is not very efficient.

Beautiful location, warm and friendly people and excellent value. The food is good and available throughout the day. A kiosk across the way fills in any gaps with snacks, produce, beach towels, bandaids, souvenirs, etc. In the evenings the place clears out and you have the beach pretty much to yourself. The starry sky is gorgeous.
I'm not used to driving on mountain roads, so they made me a little nervous, but they were safe and incredibly scenic. I did decided to do fewer day trips away from the Preveli and just enjoyed staying there for the few days I had booked.

Welcoming raverna, a 10 miutes light hike from Preveli beach (although the nearer beach looks similar and gets way less crowded). Friendly staff and nice garden.
Room was quite small for 3. Make sure you drive there with light as it’s rather secluded. Very windy, but rhat’s not their fault, of course.

We felt very welcomed and had a wonderful time here! Great hospitality, good food and the nature here is of course wonderful!

If you have a lot of luggage and travel by bus you should consider to take a taxi from Plakia (water taxi goes to preveli Beach and the car taxi you should take directly to the tavern since it's still a long and difficult way if you go of at the parking from Preveli Beach).

An absolutely exceptional place both because of its location in a beautiful bay and, of course, by the famous Preveli beach with a freshwater river and palm trees, and the peace that the place provides from busy tourist spots. I think the gods and the elements like this place. The crystal clear sea with its unmistakable blue color, the wind that whips the waves on the surface, wild mountains around and of course the sun. The hospitality of the hosts is a separate chapter. Kindness, humor, impeccable service, excellent Greek food at more than fair prices. What more to write? Just a fantastic stay

Very hostile staff - good English - close to the famous beach.
The food - no olive oil, no fresh grinded pepper, the wine.. it would be simple to improve the salads..
The room are good value for money unfortunately there is construction goin on just out front, very sad for those lovely people.

It's right at the beach, has a nice backyard with lots of flowers, is just a short walk away from the Palm Forest and at night you see thousands of stars. Beautiful! The owners are very nice.

A cute small hotel at a nice peppled beach, and very short walk to the Preveli Palm Beach (15 min approx.). The room was big with sea view, we had a very warm welcome and all staff were great during our stay. You can have breakfast, lunch, dinner at the taverna, some of the meat is from their own farm. At night you can see the Milky Way as there is no light pollution. Would definitly recommend staying there to enjoy the tranquility and have a chat with the great staff.

Not a great amount of choices for fresh vegetable dishes on the menu, but there were a few like salads.
Everything was incredibly tasty though!
