Dan was a super responsive host, and kindly responded whenever we contacted him. The chalet was well stocked with supplies and the many coffee machine options were a joy. We loved the location near Wilmington, mountain bike trails, and scenic hikes. The nightly crackling campfires and stargazing from the backyard were true highlights!

I stayed at this house with my family for our Adirondack vacation. The house was spacious and fit our family well. The yard was amazing snd had plenty of room to run around and play games. We loved the patio and spent a lot of our time out there. The hot tub was a nice feature. I absolutely loved the kitchen and the large island! The dining table was also very large. The outdoor shower is definitely a “must do”! So refreshing! I loved the rainfall shower head. Since the temperature was in the high 80s we did not use the wood stove but would love to come back in the winter to use it snd the hot tub after a snowshoe hike.

We had a wonderful time on our trip. We loved the house. There was plenty of room for all of us. The set up was amazing. We didn't do much cooking, but when we did, everything we needed was in the kitchen. We used the fire pit and the hot tub many times after long days of many fun activities. I was very sad to leave. I really enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of the mountains. I would love to visit again.

This vacation rental in Wilmington was AMAZING! Probably the best place our family has ever rented. From the moment we pulled in the driveway, we loved it. The place looks really cool and modern from the outside. The back deck has a grill and dining set by the hot tub and outdoor shower stall and it’s beautifully landscaped and private with no neighbors visible on either side or behind you. Big sliding doors go into the kitchen and family room area. Everything feels open and bright and the place was super clean. There were tons of clean, fresh- smelling towels. The kitchen is super-well stocked if you want to cook. The place was decorated very nicely and the rooms were well laid out. There was nothing this place lacked (except maybe for air conditioning- it was hot the first few days we were there, especially upstairs. They did provide great ceiling fans and electric fans though). The owner, Dan, reached out to me ahead of our stay to provide helpful information without me needing to ask him for it. He also texted me during our stay to check in and ask if I had any questions. I didn’t, but I really appreciated him taking the time to see how we were doing! We would absolutely LOVE to rent this place again, perhaps next time during ski season. It’s super close to Whiteface. Also, it’s just minutes away from many cool hiking spots - we hiked Cobble Lookout, Marble Mountain and Catamount Mountain among others. It’s the perfect home base for some fun Adirondack family adventures! Can’t say enough good things about this place!

The moment we walked in we were wowed by this house ! The kitchen is awesome and it was super clean ! I’m so glad we chose this house over a hotel . In addition everything you would like to see is close to the house … lake placid , a usable , whiteface … and of course the high peaks ! We would love to return and ski whiteface ;) thanks for a great stay !

Our family of 5 had a wonderful, relaxing one week visit to Wilmington in this beautiful home. We cooked every meal in the fully-stocked kitchen. I had never used a moka pot for coffee/espresso before - loved it so much I just bought one for home! Convenient to high peak hikes, attractions, and Lake Placid, Saranac Lake. Just perfect. Thank you for a memorable vacation!

We loved the modern-and-hip-yet-comfortable interior, bubbly hot tub, and proximity to fantastic skiing. Our host was responsive within just minute to any questions. It's one of those rental experiences that made our vacation everything we wanted it to be!

We had a wonderful Spring Break at this cool home with our kids and teen cousins. The space feels fresh, clean, comfortable and stylish in a relaxed way. There is enough room to spread out and also a great Great room to have meals and hang in. As other reviews have mentioned, from the fireplace supplies to the extra chairs and blankets it feels very ‘thought through’. A quick drive to skiing and reasonable one to town for dinners. The animal refuge a few minutes walk away was an added bonus—well worth timing to hear the presentations. Owner was friendly and responsive to our questions. We would definitely come back and stay again!

We had a great ski vacation stay at this lovely cottage located literally 6 min away from Whiteface Mountain and 20 min from Lake Placid. The house is relatively new and is well equipped. It was thoughtfully designed, and It has an amazing kitchen and dinning area. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and grill. Everything worked properly, instructions were clear, so we didn’t have to contact the owner for anything. We would definitely come back!

This cottage was an excellent fit for my group during our weeklong ski trip. The property feels private and serene and is less than ten minutes from Whiteface ski resort. It has a big, beautiful kitchen and dining room, and the hot tub and grill were lots of fun. The unit was clean, and check-in and check-out were painless. Would stay here again.

The home is very spacious, fully equipped and clean. The heated concrete floors on the lower level were amazing in the cold winter. About a 5 minute drive to Whiteface parking area, we drove back for lunch everyday. The hot tub was a nice feature for after a long day of skiing. Kitchen had just about everything you could think of including 4 different types of coffee makers. The owner was very responsive and checked in with us during the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very cold so we stayed cozy with the fire and it was so nice to have the hot tub to come home to after skiing and ice skating. We cooked meals in the kitchen and found everything we needed. Great mountain views and nice location.

The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked and spacious. The house is two minutes away from Whiteface ski entrance and has many hiking trails nearby. Dan was friendly and responsive. We would love to stay here again.

Our family of four rented out the property for the month of December and couldn't have had a better experience. The adults worked from home and the kids had online school; wifi was at times spotty, but all in all great. The location is incredible if you plan to make Whiteface a part of your stay. It's a 7-minute drive from the house, so easy to ski for the morning, go home for lunch, and then back at it on the slopes in the afternoon. The open kitchen/living/dining space is wonderful and has everything you need to cook well. (We made a double-layer cake and an apple galette while we were there with no problem.) The main grocery store is in Lake Placid and about a 25 minute-drive away, so we made sure to do big shops while we were there to cut down on the grocery trips. Closer to home, right across the street in fact, is a wildlife refuge--a really cool little place to stop with the kids. We could hear the wolves howling in the evening! The owner was highly responsive and kind; when he heard that we would be buying a Christmas tree, he ordered a tree stand and had it shipped to us! Thank you for such a memorable trip!

We had a super time and rented for Thanksgiving. Teens hung out at the house or drove into town for coffee/lunch. We walked every day. The hot tub was fun for all. I absolutely recommend to families looking for a COVID get-away.

If you’re looking to stay at a property that feels like home away from home with a view, stay here! I honestly was perfectly content just staying at the rental and having a fire or enjoying the hot tub. You will not be disappointed if you choose to rent from Dan. The house was beautiful, we loved the location! The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking and the french doors made it feel like you were right outside. We had a slight issue with checking in, we were told early check in was possible at 1:30 pm, but when we arrived we were told the house wouldn’t be ready til 5:00 pm. The owner was very responsive (we ended up getting in at 4:00 pm) and even refunded one night of our stay. At the end of our stay (less than 24 hours before we were due to check out) the owners alerted us that we would have to depart an hour and a half early due to additional COVID cleaning procedures.
