Built in 1925, this statuesque dream home has grown over the years, as the family that loved her grew. With ample space to be together, but not crowded, she sleeps 12 in 5 Bedrooms plus Den. As you pull into the long driveway, the Wraparound Front Screened Porch beckons you - a fabulous place to meet at the day's end to share stories of your adventures. Furnished with Antique Wicker and plenty of seating for all, you'll never want to leave. There is plenty of parking behind the house - even room for your boat trailer and other water toys. Fido will love the Fenced-in Side Yard, and you'll love the glimpses of the Chincoteague Bay as you grill the Fresh Catch of the Day. Wandering in through the Mudroom, perfect for storing your Beach Gear, you can kick off your Flip Flops and let the fun begin. On the 1st Floor, Great White has so many places to gather. The Eat-in Kitchen is well-stocked with all you need for family mealtime. Grab a quick bite bite at the Kitchen Dinette before exploring our beautiful Island, or sip your coffee on that wonderful Front Porch. The expansive Dining Room has plenty of room for the whole gang, as well. Not one to cook on Vacation? You're only steps from some of our favorite restaurants, including Bill's Prime Steak & Seafood, The Ropewalk, and Don's Seafood. Cool off in the Living Area and enjoy the Satellite TV and Free WiFi, or curl up with a good book in the Sitting Area. The 1st Floor Master is beautifully decorated with touches of a bygone era, and perfect for those not wanting to deal with a lot of stairs. The Master Bath has a Tub/Shower Combo, gorgeous Custom Blue Tilework, and a fabulous Historic Stained Glass Window - just stunning. Also on the 1st Floor is a spacious Utility Room with a 2nd Refrigerator, Full Size Washer & Dryer, and a convenient Half Bath. Upstairs you'll find 4 more Bedrooms plus a Den. The pictures were much better than actual. The facility did not appear to have been cleaned. Dirty floors, dirty sinks, etc. Some leaky areas. Seaside was responsive to our contact. The location was very nice. Perfect, really.

We really enjoyed Chincoteague! (Saw the horses! Went on a boat ride and saw dolphins! Almost saw a rocket launch from nearby Wallops Island, but it was cancelled due to poor weather.) The house, however, is rickety with very old (and uncomfortable) beds. The stairs were narrow and leaning, which could be difficult for people with mobility issues. We left a day early and won't be coming back.

The property was in a great location. We were able to walk to the grocery store and several restaurants. Our party included a senior citizen, and infant, preschooler, 4 couples and 3 dogs. There was plenty of room for all of us and places to go inside the house to get away from each other for some quiet time. I gave the property 4 stars because there was some issues with the oven and the heat. We needed to contact the property owners a couple of times, and they were easy to contact (even though it was Christmas). The property owners were very accommodating to our needs, but it was annoying that we needed to call for service and that there were service people in the home twice.

5 friends gathered here for a quilting retreat. We enjoyed our stay very much. Great White is reasonably priced and we all like old houses so the vintage feel worked fine for us. The kitchen was well equipped and we had plenty of room on the ground floor to set up our sewing equipment. The large upstairs bathroom was easy to share. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

This place is huge. It looks to have once been a boarding house and features multiple sitting rooms and enough beds to sleep 11 with no doubling up. There are several queen beds, so it could easily sleep 16. Downtown Main Street is a short walk, which is great. Traffic is pretty constant, which might be a bother to some. The floors upstairs are spectacularly uneven, which is either an adventure or an annoyance depending on your personality / sense of balance. Speaking of balance, the stairs are steep and narrow. A definite hazard for the very young or very old (our 3-year-old handled them fine). We had a great time. Good value for the money.

We needed a large house for a multi-generational Thanksgiving. This house was perfect size wise. It provided plenty of space for all to spread out and a dining area for a large group. Convenience to town was perfect. The house has loads of character. Downside was the view or lack of on the back. Was not expecting all of the condos, etc. Very disappointing. Some safety issues also. While the front staircase is beautiful, the extension REALLY needs a handrail. Also the downstairs BR really needs a grab bar in the shower. The kitchen is extremely well stocked but is too narrow for multiple cooks. The downstairs bedroom needs a new mattress! We never got the fireplace to work and could not turn on the wall heater in the bathroom. I left a note on the kitchen table re: some of these issues.

Totally enjoyed our family ( 12 of us ) stay at Great White! Not your normal "beachy" vibe but what a delight. The kids were awed with all the twisty stair cases and multiple rooms to explore. I just loved having a dining room where everyone could sit down together, and having a bedroom on the first level! Would rent this house again in the future and would love to know some of its back history.

If you are looking for a larger house with plenty of space and don’t care about aesthetics, this is a great house. It’s comfortable original. Pros- lots of separate bedrooms, lots of separate rooms to hang out, large dining room table to fit the whole gang, two frigs, mudroom to dump all your beach and pool stuff and that wonderful huge screened in front porch (our favorite part). Cons- wonky floors, downright dangerous back stairway (there is another one), galley kitchen which also serves as a walkway.
