Nestled in Maldon, this charming house for £74 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Elsie's Cottage is an original 1860 miners cottage which has been sympathetically renovated to retain it's original features. It's set on a large block with plenty of room for kids and pets. Main Street is at the end of the road an easy 10 minute stroll. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other has two single beds. There is also a very comfortable queen size sofa bed. All linen and towels provided. For your comfort there is a split system air con and a gorgeous wood heater. Washing machine, dryer, BBQ, high chair and porta cot are all supplied. Kitchen has a gas cook top, electric wall oven, microwave and a family size fridge. There's a cubby house and a swing set to help keep the kids occupied. Per couple $140.00. Extra guests $25.00 per night. Children (over 5 years) $25.00 per night.

The cottage felt old world yet wonderfully bright and clean. It had everything that you need for a long weekend like we had, or a an extended stay. We had our two border collies with us who enjoyed the ample backyard. Lots to do around the area and many walking tracks near by. We will be back.

We were up for the Maldon Twilight Dinner. It was a fantastic evening and highly recommend. A clean, comfortable cottage. My biggest requirement was a fully fenced area for my Jack Russell. The backyard was totally fenced. I just blocked off a small entrance behind the shed to save Pixie from getting stuck. Hosts were happy to have Pixie inside and on the couch. I always travel with a throw to protect furniture but it was lovely to know we had that freedom.

This property is gorgeous. Very comfortable, with clean rooms and a well stocked kitchen, with goodies left by the owners. Fabulous yard for our dog. We enjoyed our weekend away very much and will definitely go again.

I wa warmly welcomed with a set fire, a bottle of wine and a block of chocolate! The house was very clean and well equipped. It has a homey, comfortable feeling and is in a quiet street in the quiet, pretty town of Maldon. There is a large fully fenced yard which was perfect for my dog who was travelling with me. I hope to stay again.

The cottage was cosy and warm with super comfortable beds. Jean supplied lots of extras to make our families stay enjoyable. Treats for the adults and a great backyard to keep the little ones happy. Lunch was enjoyed in the sunny backyard and it was a pleasant walk down the street. Our family are really looking forward to their next stay. Thankyou Jean.

We loved our cottage stay! The house was clean, comfy and cozy, with lots of heaters and extra blankets. Really appreciated the special touches like the treats we discovered upon our arrival. Will definitely be back with the family and pooches.

Sadly Maldon music fest didn’t go ahead this year but we still decided to visit Maldon & I booked the cottage over 1 year ago. The wine & chocolate on arrival was a welcoming touch after an extra long public transport trip from Glg due to storms. The cottage had everything one needed with wonderful gardens at front & back! The beds were comfortable to sleep in & full kitchen was fantastic!

This cottage is a wonderful step into history. We sat by the log fire every night while watching television. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped with oven and full fridge. There was plenty of space and though we didn’t bring anyone else, the second bedroom would be certainly up to it for two kids or adults. It is a quiet location. Get used to watching videos or reading. Mobile phone coverage was not good and there is no WIFI.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Miners Cottage. It was nice and warm when we arrived and really easy to access off the motorway. The cottage was really comfortable and a perfect location for a long weekend in the Goldfields Region. really comfortable bed and lovely wood fire. Definitely rebooking really soon.

We had a delightful, relaxing stay with our two dogs at this very sweet cottage. The bed was super comfy and the whole place was cosy on a cold autumn night. Lots of attention to detail in the furnishings provisions and we had everything we needed (except some tissues, but could have brought our own!). The kitchen is very well equipped with a view over the gorgeous courtyard and garden. We loved walking around the neighbourhood and it’s only a short walk to the main town. Would love to come again!

Stayed with a group of friends and everything was wonderful. All the comforts of home close to town. Was lovely sitting on the shady front verandah in the afternoons and the lovely outdoor area out the back were perfect for the mornings. Lovely complimentary red wine and chocolates to welcome us.
