We had a wonderful time!! Eleuthera is absolutely breathtaking! The house is great, clean and has all the amenities you could ask for.

If you choose to stay here, be sure to inquire about all amenities & beach/pool accessories are in working order (& are safe to use) prior to your arrival.
Biggest issue: generator specifically listed for frequent power outages on the island did not work & owner knew it before we even checked in. When asked the host’s response was “these things happen on the island”, “it broke prior to your arrival” and “there is nothing we can do.”
Also, house is listed as “new”. It is definitely not new.
Out of 7 nights, we only stayed 3 & thankfully could return home since there were no options for us to move to the week of New Years. Power was out 12 hours at one point. (We have used vrbo for 15 years for rentals & have never had something like this happen).
*Despite what the host may reply, these are accurate and truthful statements.

The house is as advertised. It is not large, but is very efficient with the space it provides. Everything worked, and was very enjoyable. Also, the pool did not appear to be very big in the photos, but it was much larger in person. we also enjoyed, jumping off the cliff during high tide only and otherwise enjoyed the area. Certainly would’ve enjoyed warmer weather, but that’s not on the host, for sure. I highly recommend this property.

This place is amazing. Host was very helpful and has a guy that can arrange rental car and any other needs. It was hard to leave the beautiful veiws of the home to go on adventures. Snorkling was at your doorstep and the cliff jumping was cool (make sure tide is up before attempting). Friendly sea turtle greeted us snorkling. We definitely want to return.

Outstanding views, great snorkeling and fish filled reef out your doorstep. Deborah and Romell were very responsive and helpful! House is spacious and pool was an amazing bonus!

This place, the location, is truly special. You are right on a cliff overlooking the ocean, spectacular sunsets, the most amazing reef literally in your backyard! My husband did spear fishing every day out there. He caught dinner every night and we ate on the picnic table watching the sunset. It was incredible! Being pretty much in the middle of the island, we were easily able to get to anywhere we wanted to explore for day trips. For us, it was the ideal setting off point.
The home itself is beautiful and comfortable. The pool was a fabulous bonus. We cannot wait to return to this slice of paradise!

The description of the home and amenities was “spot on”. The location was exactly what we were looking for. There was no one around, it was like we were on our own island. Even though it seemed remote there were very good low key places to eat within minutes. We really enjoyed pascals and Sammy’s which is 2 minutes from the house and the banana beach there was beautiful.
We also had conch salad for the first time at The Delish Lifestyle, which was amazing atmosphere and so relaxing right on the beach. We also took about a 45 minute drive to the Sapphire Hole and the Queens Bath both of which were spectacular. Now, about the house, it was a dream come true. Anything we could have wanted was already there . More than enough towels, stocked kitchen, laundry supplies, spices. Etc… The views from the balconies were beyond amazing. The pool was great, if you wanted shade or sun both were offered. The snorkeling right off the back of the property was stellar! Saw some barracudas, starfish, the most beautiful blue and yellow fish. Spent a lot of time back there snorkeling. The electricity did go out a few times for just a little bit and Romell was quick to answer and calm our nerves. We have already discussed when we are going back!

We had a wonderful time at Cupid’s Way. It’s a beautiful place with an ideal location. My grandsons enjoyed the Wii, in the evenings while we played games. They absolutely loved swimming in the pool! It was like being at our own private resort!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cupid’s Way. The house is centrally located and very private. We really enjoyed swimming and cliff jumping right off the back yard. Deborah is an A+ property manager and great with communication. I highly recommend.

I have only wonderful things to say about Deborah's house on a cliff in Eleuthera. The beaches, and the water in particular - the navy blue of the Atlantic on one side of the side and the turquoise green on the Caribbean side -- were awesome. We have traveled the world and these were the most beautiful beaches/water we have seen. And very few people there. Drive on Queens Highway north to the Glass Bridge - a one lane stone strip of the island with the Atlantic on one side and the Caribbean on the other.
Deborah's house is as shown on VRBO. It is spotlessly clean and lovely. We went to a different beach each of the 7 days we were there. We went to Harbor Island one day - not worth the 1 + hour drive to get to the ferry and then the ferry across. There is nothing there that you can't see on the main island of Eleuthera itself. And the roads are pretty horrible. The main road, Queen's Highland which runs down the middle of this narrow, long island is okay but to get to a beach you need to go on the side roads. You haven't seen a pothole until you go there. Rent a jeep or SUV with high clearance. There was no need for 4 wheel drive.
Note: the food - and everything you buy - is exorbitant. E.g. a small pineapple was $10.00. Or, we went to Tippy's the first day for lunch - which we recommend - and for three sandwiches and one small Caesar salad it cost $125.00.
We read reviews and blogs ahead of time so we were prepared. Most of our luggage contained food - frozen chicken, frozen turkey meatballs, pasta, even jam and a can of tomatoes and tomato paste to make a tomato sauce.
Also, it is not that easy at Deborah's house to access the Caribbean. You need to walk down a very narrow path - which gave my husband vertigo - and then set up an extension ladder to reach the water. Instead, we just went to all the beautiful beaches and the pool next to her house.
Back to Deborah, the host: she is terrific. A great communicator, answers your emails very promptly and keeps the property tip top. Her caretaker Romell was also very helpful and we rented a Jeep from him. $90 per day plus $70 to pick us up and drop us off at airport. The big chain rental car companies like Hertz or Avis aren't there.
Also, there are very few shops. You go for the beaches and the ocean/caribbean. Very quiet. Very few people. We went to LeoRose on a Thursday night for dinner - moderately priced- and live band for dancing. Lots of fun.

This was a stunning location and well-equipped for our entertainment. The kayaks were great fun and we even played the Wii as a family one night. The beds were clean and there were plenty of towels.
Here are some things to note. There are small bugs in the kitchen that seem to be part of the island's reality. You must be careful to not leave any food or dishes out. The washer leaked quite a bit on the floor which we had to mop up with towels. And the shower upstairs didn't drain.
The Manager of the property was quite friendly and communicative. Fixing those problems seems like it might take a while given the general pace of the island.
This was our first visit to Eleuthera. It is undeveloped for sure. This is both its appeal and its downfall. The grocery stores are small and not well-supplied. Food is VERY expensive. Plan on paying no less than $25 for a burger and it goes up from there. The roads are treacherous, but an adventure. But the beaches make it all worth it. We found a new beach every day and were almost always the only people on the beach. It was a bit surreal and gave us the rest that we needed.
The location of the house is amazing once you get there. You will encounter a rugged road and some loud protective dogs on your way to the house. It is all part of the adventure.

Booked the property for our spring break family getaway. The home was just as pictured on the website. Gorgeous location overlooking the Caribbean on a very private street. Spectacular views from every room in the house. The home was well stocked and had everything you could possibly need including extra sunscreen, kitchen equipment, cooking supplies, towels, snorkeling, equipment, kayaks, and paddle board. All of the bedrooms had extremely comfortable beds, and the owner supplied extra pillows and lots of towels for all of the guests in the home. We rented a car from the owners caretaker Romell, and he met us at the airport and was very responsive if we ever had a question regarding the home.
We have rented numerous homes all over the world, and I can tell you that Deborah, the owner, was one of the most responsive and communicative owners we have ever worked with. From the very beginning, she answered all of our questions, and provided us with an abundance of information on the home, Eleuthera, places to go and great tips on restaurants. Whenever we had a question she would immediately respond. Deborah was fantastic! I would highly recommend this rental and this location! The house was perfect and the location was right in the middle of of the Island. Easy to go down south to the Lighthouse beach or up north to visit the other islands. We would love to go back.

First time In Bahamas. This property and our host Deborah (who happened to be on island at the same time) were outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. Amenities are as described and having a generator was a nice sense of security. Location makes it very easy to get into Gov Harbor for restaurants or essentials. French leave beach (5-10 min by car) or just hanging out at house pool made for a very relaxing week. Nothing better than breakfast at the picnic table or evening frozen cocktails watching the sunset. As we plan our next trip to the Bahamas it’s hard to imagine a better option.

Eleuthera proved to be more magical than we thought possible. The beaches, the people, the wandering down bumpy roads all lead to bliss. The home was beautiful & just as beautiful as described! Romell was fantastic and everyone made the whole experience spectacular. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the magic of life!

The pictures do not do this property justice. My wife and I had all kinds of plans to explore the island during our stay and we ended up just staying at the house the entire time. If you’ve been thinking about booking here, just do it!! You won’t regret it. Romell and Deborah were fantastic throughout the entire stay.

My family and I vacation at Cupids Way, in January 2023. I cannot say enough great things about the house, the location, or Deborah & Romell our host/caretaker.
The house is absolutely a gem. We used all of the water toys daily. We enjoyed lots of fresh fish from the dock and the grill was KEY to our dinning success! Deborah’s instructions/recommendations are about as comprehensive as I have ever seen and full of so much useful info I would recommend printing your own copy to bring with you in the car for any adventure you take.
The only advice I would give to anyone reading this is bring some sort of water shoe as many of the beaches have very sharp rocks, and stay away from Silver Airlines, because their is not nearly as solid as you would think. (Just my experience.)

This property is breathtakingly beautiful on the island of Eleuthera. We’ve been coming to this island for 18 years and this spot was so beautiful and peaceful. Stunning views of Cupid’s Cay at night. A wonderful reef in the backyard to snorkel too. A must stay!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The beds are super comfortable. Everything you need to make a meal is there as well as a grill hooked to natural gas. We bought fresh fish at the dock in Governor’s Harbor and grilled it with fresh veggies and bread bought from the farm in South Palmetto Point. The ocean front has a reef with a resident turtle and a variety of fish, flounder, barracuda as well as dolphins which tend to swim by in early morning. The pool is a great place to soak up the sun and the ocean view while you drink your Kalik local beer which I recommend. There is a ladder that you can put into the water and rope off which we found better than the hanging rope ladder. Pascals across the main road has a wonderful bbq on Sundays and a pool with lunch items and fabulous drinks made by Sammy who is so sweet!

We stayed for family vacation in Deborah’s place. Everything as described! Even better than the pictures. The box spring beds are super! WiFi very very good. Location is perfect in the middle of the island. When renting you will get tons of useful tips (dining, shopping, seeing). Deborah, her assistent and the local caretaker Romell are really quick responsible, reliable and care taking. We rented our car with Romell. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Our family (4 adults) enjoyed our stay at this cozy, modern home. I was very impressed with how our problems (WiFi & upstairs A/C) were promptly & expertly handled by the caretaker, Romell, & owner, Deborah. Luckily, the home had 2 central A/C units because we were there when Eleuthera was extremely hot (summer) and we stayed nice & cool downstairs. Not everything goes to plan on such a small island, but they handled it really well. The house was well-stocked, including kitchen needs/spices & portable beach chairs (yay!) & kayak, etc. Beach towels would have been nice, but there were lots of towels and a washing machine (with detergent). Note that you are required to do any laundry beyond one load of sheets/towels - and a few other small chores - before you leave. The dipping pool was marvelous. The biting no-see-ums surprised us at sunset; it was nice to see some bug spray & sunscreen in a cabinet. I liked the home’s location. It was centrally located, about an hour from the airport & busy Harbor Island area, but within 10 driving minutes of a grocery store & gas station in tiny Governor’s Harbor & just a few minutes to some restaurants. We rented a car from the caretaker; a car is essential. The house was convenient for driving to different (gorgeous) beaches every day, so I imagine any tourists spend their time swimming, walking & exploring them. We didn’t see very many people at all. The stunning beaches are public, but we were the only people at several of them all day. They didn’t have obvious sign-postings, but there was a well-loved map in the home that helped (also Google). I’d recommend a drive to the north end to take a charter boat sightseeing and check out beaches up there too, as well as the busy & very touristy/trendy Harbor Island. We felt like intrepid explorers with a comfortable home to come back to. We really enjoyed our week-long adventure in Eleuthera.

We all enjoyed our stay in Eleuthera! The home was perfect for our family . We enjoyed the amazing pool , view , and the fact that we could cliff jump and scuba from the backyard was so great . The beds were all comfortable too. The owner was extremely easy to get ahold of and very helpful ! We went on a day excursion with Captain Kid and sons . We had a blast ! The boys also fished with him another day and brought home dinner for two nights !! We enjoyed all the locals and trying different food spots ! We would strongly recommend this spot and hope to go back soon .

Great location. Best house I saw on the island. Wouldn’t have wanted to rent anywhere else. The back yard is incredible and different than just being on a beach. Only thing I have to say is that the kitchen/kitchen utensils/ fridge could have been cleaned better upon our arrival. Other than that we had a blast and there are so many good restaurants and drink spots. Spent a lot of time at pascals beach bar across the street

Deborah was helpful/fantastic/friendly/responsive! We loved our time in this house! You can snorkel right from here, no need to drive anywhere. Wifi great, appliances all great, AC works great, everything very current. A nice extra: there’s a guestbook where people have shared a lot of info re stores, activities, etc. Also BIG props to Romell, Deborah‘s caretaker who was also the contact for a car (which is a must BTW) — great guy, super responsive.
This location is ideal in a number of ways — north of here is more populous, south less so. We found great boogie boarding just 10/15 mins away on the Atlantic side. Plenty of good stores.
Also, the sunsets are FANTASTIC!!
Really can’t say enough good stuff — would totally come back and stay in this same house again!

This house and the property are even better than the photos. We were blown away by the solitude— no nearby neighbors or views of other houses. The views are incredible and having direct access to the water was such a joy to wake up to every morning. We had so much fun paddle boarding and kayaking and floating around. There are also many incredible beaches near the house and within short driving distance. The owners did a great job decorating and furnishing the house, especially since everything must be imported. The outdoor dining area with strung up little lights was dreamy. We didn’t get a chance to use the BBQ unfortunately. We would be thrilled to come back. It was heavenly!

Thank you! We had a wonderful stay at your home. The beach book, and snorkel book by Brett Sigillo was incredibly helpful. We traveled all over the island just exploring but would say our favorite parts were near the house, between James cistern and Governor’s harbour. The house was perfect! Comfortable beds, air conditioners worked well (although made a strong effort to conserve electricity especially during the days) and well equipped kitchen. The pool was a very comfortable temperature, and was a nice location to enjoy the sunset view. Romell and his beautiful bride were wonderful, and really helped make sure our stay went as smoothly as possible. Thank you for the assistance when we locked ourselves out of the home.
As far as recommendations for future visitors :
Day trip 1 - North island - boat trip from Gene’s bay dock (we did 2 separate excursions - Da salty pig and Captain Kidd and son) and then hit preacher’s cave and the sapphire blue hole while on that end of the island. Don’t miss seeing the beach at preachers cave - around the cave to the right. In regards to the excursions the sea turtles are a little aggressive with their feeding - we tried swimming/snorkeling with them but be prepared to get a little gentle nibble if you feed them from the water. And keep your hot dogs away from your body while feeding the pigs.
Day trip 2 - north island - Park at Queen’s bath, and then hike up to glass window bridge. To get good pics of both bodies of water you do have to climb some rocks - and it was definitely windy the day we went. Then came back by twin sisters beach and gaulding cay beach (across from Daddy Joe’s), and then just random beaches back home. We finished up with dinner at The Front Porch - probably the most expensive but definitely the best meal we had on the island.
That being said we didn’t have a bad meal on the island - Pascal’s, Tippys, the buccaneer club, The sandbar (Spanish wells), and Coral Sands Beach Bar (Harbour island) were all wonderful.
I was hoping to do some more recommendations but not enough time. It’s a wonderful island. I hope to come back and visit and would definitely love to stay at the home again.

Wonderful house, communicative owner
The house was lovely, clean, and spacious.
Deborah provided detailed information about how to get to the property, access the key, and recommendations for nearby stores, restaurants, beaches. When I emailed her with questions, she always responded quickly and in a friendly manner.
Next time I come to the island, I'll definitely check to see if her house is available.
