We stayed at this beautiful property for a week and had the most splendid time. The house is perfect in every way. Clean, modern, simple without any clutter. We loved it. Our host made our first visit to Santa Theresa great. He connected us with a surfing coach, massage therapist(s)—the best we’ve ever had, fishing guides AND gave us excellent recommendations before the trip and during our stay. He even made dinner reservations and recommended an amazing chef who we had 2 nights. This was truly a 6 star stay!!!

Excellent property in Santa Teresa. The property is as pictured. The hill is quite steep to get up to the house, we did have a 4x4 but chose to walk it which was a good workout. You definitely want to either be up a hill or directly on the beach in Santa Teresa because the main road is extremely noisy with trucks, ATV’s and everything else sharing the road. The daily housekeeping was an added bonus, be sure to tip well.

Whoever planned the house took great consideration of the location- facade of glass windows to an ocean view ! Two master bedrooms facing the ocean, a pool and outside deck. Friendly and attentive owner and team. Water in shower could run better😉 but overall perfect!

Villa Kaleo is an incredibly beautiful place that will let you relax at any time of the day! It offers you stunning views of the wild ocean and is surrounded by trees and greenery that provides homes for a wide range of birds, variegated squirrel and colorful Lizards. We were a family of 4 and were happy to call this place our home for a week. The kitchen and living room area offers a cozy and modern feel and provides anything you will need to stay in and cook or to just relax after coming home from the beach. Its design is simply beautiful but very practical at the same time. We loved the espresso maker with provided coffee in the morning! Deliciously brewed coffee combined with beautiful views will start off your day in a perfect way! The bedrooms were very spacious, display modern chic and have very comfortable beds. Each bathroom offers beautiful showers! The place was cleaned every day, towels were replaced daily, which was very nice since especially the pool towels might not dry much in the humid climate. The location of the Villa couldn’t be more perfect! You have all the privacy you need, but yet you are so very close to all the happenings: It is only a five minute walk to some Cafés for breakfast, the organic grocery store or the beach and everything else in Santa Teresa can be reached easily on foot or by car from the Villa. We spent many mornings just walking down the hill to grab breakfast and met wildlife (agouti, iguana)on our way down or up the hill! The hill that leads up to the Villa Kaleo is very steep, so make sure if you arrive by car, you have 4WD. We also have to thank Jony for making our stay so enjoyable!!! He is one of the most friendly, responsive, and helpful hosts we have ever had!! Jony has such a pleasant and easy personality and is eager to help with any problem or question! Thank you so much, Jony! He not only gave us plenty of restaurant recommendations, he also helped us with our ferry booking, covid testing, let us back in when we locked ourselves out 😉 and really made us feel welcomed. An unforgettable trip!

If you come to Santa Teresa this is an absolute must. The view is breathtaking and you care close to everything but away from the noise and dust. It's the perfect retreat while staying connected.

Yonatan was an incredible host, he was very accommodating and available to help with anything we needed. The house looked even more beautiful than in the pictures. I would absolutely recommend staying here, we had a wonderful time!

Yanatan gave recommendations for restaurants, and set us up for daily excursions! We couldn’t have asked for anything better! All the work was taken off our plates! This is what vacations are all about! The excursions and beauty of Costa Rica are like nothing else! Well worth it! And having a house cleaner each day was such a joy, making our vacation even better! We cannot wait to come back as it was an incredible 10 days packed with fun and relaxation each day! This is a great Santa Teresa house! Clean, modern, in a central location but also quiet and with great views. Yonatan is a wonderful host and made sure we had a wonderful stay. Our kids loved going from the infinity pool to the beach down the hill!

I cannot stress enough how perfect this house was. Beautiful design, convenient location (close to restaurants, markets, surfing), views for days, and an outdoor space that invites you to lounge around all day. Also, none of the dust or noise you get from the main road. Must have a 4X4 vehicle for the road up, but you get used to the steep climb quickly. I stayed here with my husband, two teenagers, and my mom. We all had our own private suites but the central living/kitchen area is open and fits us all comfortably. The daily housekeeper was something I didn't know I would need but was such a luxury I may look for that in all of my rentals. Jony kept in touch with us on and off throughout our entire stay making sure that we had everything we needed. He provided great recommendations for places to go. He even spotted us out one night at his friends restaurants and was so nice to buy dessert for us. (thanks again!) We will definitely be coming back to this location.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Kaleo. The home is beautiful and Yonatan provides everything you need to make your stay in Santa Teresa magical. The housekeeper is fantastic and each day was better than coming back to a hotel room. The home is located up a hill with beautiful views of the beach and amazing sunsets. You are close to all of the amazing restaurants and also close to Hermosa Beach which is beautiful. Amazing surf all around. We had a 4 wheel drive SUV which made it easy to get around everywhere. Lot's of people use dirt-bikes or 4 wheelers. The pool is BEAUTIFUL. The pics don't do it justice. Everyone in town couldn't be nicer. Honestly could go on and on about how much we loved Santa Teresa and our stay at Villa Kaleo, THANK YOU!!!

Villa Kaleo in Santa Teresa was exceptional. The property was beautiful, modern and in a great location. Central enough to be close to beaches and restaurants, yet removed from the main road through Santa Teresa which can get quite busy on the weekends. The property is beautiful, well kept, and the location just up from sea level gives it the perfect vantage to view the ocean from the serenity of the hillside overlooking Santa Teresa. The property manager Yonatan was very helpful and answered all of our questions regarding where to eat and how to get around. We can’t wait to go back again.

If you’re visiting Santa Teresa, stay in Villa Kaleo. It’s beautiful, fun and centrally located. The design is impeccable and the layout is perfect for either a party group of young folks or a family like us with three children. It has three very comfortable, quiet, air conditioned rooms with full glass sliding doors and windows. The pool is absolutely perfect to spend the entire day in. There is a cleaning lady that comes from around 10 to 2 every day with your reservation to clean and do turndown service. The view speaks for itself so just look at the pictures. The entrance to get into the property cuts through a gravel lot shared by other businesses, so don’t be surprised when you arrive. After you pass some cute bakeries and shops, you’ll make a right turn and cut through what looks like a scrap yard to get to the driveway. Santa Teresa is a young, growing town and mixed-use roadways and cut-throughs are just part of the landscape. Santa Teresa is, quite literally, a dusty town. This is because the Main Street is unpaved and really makes the air unpleasant in town when it’s busy with vehicles. Some of the business owners indicated that this is pissing them off because they are paying a ton in taxes these days and would really appreciate some pavement. We hope they get it soon. This house is up a hill so the air is crystal clear and we were really thankful for this. The driveway is really steep so you should have a 4x4. The power goes out in The whole town sometimes, especially when it rains, so that’s not so much a thing about this house as the whole village. Not a big deal and sometimes it’s fun. The owner/host is Jonny. He’s the host with the most who is determined to make your stay great. He’ll keep in touch with you and run over if there is a problem ( we had some minor stuff but he handled it really quick ). Another fun perk is the proximity to the Mint Hotel next-door. It’s a really beautiful hotel with a great bar run by a young Swedish couple. We recommend that if your group has some people that are parents with children, They should stay here at Villa Kaleo & have the younger non-parents & surfers stay at the Mint next-door. It’s almost like staying at the same hotel. If it’s just a bunch of friends, Villa Kaleo is perfect and you can run down to the Mint bar for a sunset cocktail. Also, Jonny has a buddy who owns a “room service” business using WhatsApp. Literally anything in town can be delivered to your door. We recommend!

The home was beautiful and the view even better. We couldnt have ask for a better experience. The property manager Nir was a great help if we did need anything or have any questions.

Once you conquer the steep driveway you find one of the most incredible views in Santa Teresa. The infinity pool was a perfect place to unwind after exploring Costa Rica!

My family of 4 had a wonderful week at Villa Kaleo. A beautiful home centrally located to enjoy all that Santa Theresa, Malpais & Hermosa has to offer. We enjoyed morning yoga, afternoon surfing, and delicious dinners with Villa Kaleo as our tranquil base. Yonatan was wonderful to work with providing great insight and references for our first visit. We will return!

Villa Kaleo was one of the best vacation rental I’ve ever had! The Villa is super clean, good air conditioning in every room and in the living room, the kitchen is fully equipped, comfortable orthopedic mattress and the infinite pool with the unbelievable ocean view is the best!!! Thank you Jonny for such an amazing stay, you were wonderful! Highly recommended!

I can't express how much my family and I loved staying at this property. If you think the pictures look great, wait until you see this property in person. From the beginning, we were greeted with a warm welcome from Shay. She was instrumental in helping us get to our house, and went out of her way to get us this amazing coffee. The entire house lay out is very open, yet private. In the morning the sunrise and evening sunsets were picture perfect. To top it off, the maid service was great. Especially, being out all day then coming home to a tidy house, just ends the day perfectly. My family and I did not want to leave the house. Can't wait to come back and stay here again.

This is an amazing home with views to die for. Jony was great and helped us with all of our extra activities, but I could have never left the house and been completely satisfied. That pool is fantastic. We bird watched, lizard watched, and the best was the group of howler monkeys that paraded through the trees near the house for a great show. Most will want to rent a car or 4 wheelers to get up the hill to the house. We were adventurous an enjoyed the hike as a challenge. Santa Teresa is such a charming town with the kindest people living Pura Vida!! I highly recommend getting the chef Rodrigo to cook for you in the beginning of your trip. He will make a delicious meal with plenty of leftovers to eat on through the week. If you are looking for a great private villa in Santa Teresa, look no further.

Our family loves to travel, and I have to say...the house (how the architecture allows for nature to be part of the experience), the location (right in the heart of Santa Teresa, close to the beach, shops, restaurants and yoga classes), the amenities (kitchen and bathrooms are fully equipped), the pool (wow), the view (wow), the sunsets, exceeded all my expectations. The house was a big part of our amazing Costa Rican experience. Thank you Yonatan for being an amazing host. We hope to be back soon!

SUPERHOST! You will be very welcome to this sunny villa in the heart of Santa Teresa. Located near beaches, key restaurants, attractions (horse back riding, snorkeling, waterfalls, ATV Quads). The host was great at suggesting activities to help complete our Itinerary during our trip, too. This amazing property has plenty of light, shade and space as well as being close to everything. Yet, it is up on hill away from noise of the main strip which also gives you incredible view of the ocean. PERFECT FOR Families, 3 couples, groups of friends GETAWAYS!

Awesome views and close to all the shops in town. Staff really took care of us. Would definitely rent it again.
