Modern 4 bedroom luxury home - Ideal for two families The Lodge is under new ownership and we would like to open up our home to new and previous guests who would like to enjoy our family Beach House. The Lodge is a short 2 minute walk to either West or East Shelley Beaches where you can walk either North or South along a fantastic walking or cycling track which presents the beautiful coast line of Orford with sensational views to Maria Island. Enjoy a day on the beach, swimming or paddling in the 4 kayaks and life jackets provided with your accommodation or throw a line in the water for some fresh local fish or bring your boat and explore the local waterways. Play a round of golf at Orford or have a game of social bowls at the nearby bowls club - there is plenty to choose from in the local area. We have everything you need to make this a holiday you and your kids will never forget. 5 Star quality - fully self contained. Features include open plan living with polished concrete floors, fully equipped alfresco dining area with kitchen and BBQ, ice/water fridge freezer, fully equipped kitchen, study and quality fittings throughout, you will live like a king for the duration of your stay. This is a modern new home that you may not want to leave, with plasma TV's and stereos in living, outdoor and main bedroom. Our holiday home has a large front lawn and deck in which you can either relax or keep active. There are two large bedrooms with king size beds that can be separated if needed for groups plus a bunk room with 4 beds and we also have other mattresses that can be placed in any of the bedrooms or the study which can be used as a fourth bedroom. We also provide a portable cot. Have an active family with plenty of active things to do including swimming at sheltered East Shelley, body surfing at Spring Beach, fishing, snorkeling and diving, golf, tennis and plenty of great local walks you will have plenty of things to choose from. There is also off street parking for up to 4 cars.

The Lodge was a fantastic place to stay for our group of two families. Lots of room, well equipped kitchen, and even sea kayaks. We used this as a base for a day trip to Maria Island, being less than 10minutes to drive to the ferry terminal. Craig was very responsive to all communications, and I would love to come back and stay for a longer time to explore more of this beautiful area of Tasmania.

7 of us friends enjoyed our 2 night stay at “The Lodge”. We were expecting Bob (Hawke) to meet us !!! We enjoyed our stay, plenty of room, beds comfortable and great showers 👍 We went over to Maria Island as my father was born and lived on the Island in 1924 for 12 years. Had a lovely time. Good place to stay.

House is super clean and spacious with all amenities available. Wonderful flat front yard to enjoy a BBQ. Also, very close to beach access and a walking path to take in the sea views. We had a great time there at the Easter holidays. While the weather wasn't totally on our side on some days, we had plenty of games to play in the large living space.

Great property for a couple of families, every thing, plus more for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The bikes and kayaks were a huge plus and made the day for the kids. Beds were extremely comfortable and ample room for all. A very easy short walk to the beach everything was as described. great communication from hosts who were very helpful. Would definatley book again.

The house was incredibly clean, spacious for our two families, and gave us a number of entertainment options for all ages. Close to the beach and walks, a very quiet neighbourhood, and while it is a corner block, it also felt very private. Craig and Narelle have done an excellent job with this house, and we can't wait to visit again.

Space is exactly as advertised. Clean, spacious plenty of room for kids to play while parents relax. Great location right near the beach but close enough for a quick walk to cafe for a coffee. Craig and Narelle very accommodating.

The Lodge at Orford is modern , clean and well presented . A well equiped 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom modern house within walking distance of Shelley Beach and a short drive to coffee shop, supermarket and newsagent. We highly recommend The Lodge for a holiday stay .

Fantastic house, location and facilities. Good place for 2-3 family groups. Enjoyed that the cupboards had lots of equipment including sharp knives (so many places don't have adequate knives!) and a toasted sandwich maker. Beds were also brilliant, so comfortable. Great lawn for kids games.

The house is lovely, modern, clean and really well set up for a large group. (You can actually seat 10 people -or more!-around the dining table!) We happened to be staying when the bridge over the Orford Rivulet washed away. Craig was fabulous communicating information and news, quickly, and offering to let us stay an extra night.

This property was perfect for our family. Providing a large landscaped front yard with plenty of space for children to ride their bikes and play ball games.
