About this house rental
Come up north with your family to the scenic Minnesota woodlands and enjoy 'Iron Ridge', our private log home, beach, and dock on the peaceful shores of Wynne Lake. Easy to find and most convenient of the vacation rental homes, we are on the same side of the lake and just one mile down the road from Giants Ridge Ski Resort and the renown Quarry and Legends Golf Courses. 'Iron Ridge' is a custom home built with massive red pine logs and situated on a spacious wooded lot with private lakeshore and dock. A large secure garage and extensive paved driveway provide plenty of safe, off-road parking for all types of vehicles, trailers or campers. The main level features a well equipped kitchen with everything you'll need (dishwasher, microwave, crock-pot, blender, etc). The dining area (with large table and center island), living room with fieldstone fireplace), and wrap-around covered deck all provide gorgeous views of the lake. Main level bedrooms boast comfortable King size beds, and the main bathroom has a shower and jacuzzi (jetted) tub. The living room sofa pulls out to a queen sleeper. The lower level is the perfect place for entertaining and family fun. It features a wet bar/kitchen area with sink, refrigerator, large counter/bar with stools and 2 pub tables. From here, walk out to the patio area which overlooks and is only steps from the lake. The patio highlights a large outdoor Hot Tub (Nov-April Closed), patio furniture for dining, sunning or lounging, gas grill, and log porch swing. Step back inside and just down the hallway you'll find a full bathroom complete with a shower, changing room and cedar sauna. Also down this hallway is a utility room with washer, dryer, and iron. Both downstairs bedrooms are equipped with bunk beds: one with 2 full beds (full over full bunk), and one with 4 twin beds ( 2 twin over twin bunks). The lower level family room is great for relaxing. Along with a second fireplace, this room has a large TV complete with Sat/Dish TV, XBox 360, and DVD/VCR player. Place was very nice and comfortable. The only issue we had was figuring out the heating system, as we tend to like it a bit cooler. Beautiful location and very convenient getting to Giant's Ridge ski area and into Biwabik.

The drive and location was beautiful! We came to the area for a wedding, the property is in an excellent location for what ever season or event.
Per other reviews the home itself could use a few updates. However taking into consideration of the location, the amazing wrap around deck and access to lake. I didn’t take time to notice whether the home really needed updates. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to utilize the hot tub or sauna.

The water pressure in the showers could use a little work, Wi-Fi was useless, the pontoon worked but was very slow. Please update your pictures. We enjoyed the time away but it wasn't quite what we expected.

It's truly a recreational lake not fishing. This home not suitable for older adults. Railings inside and out are not stable. No Wi-fi all week
Pictures on VBRO are "out dated". It needs some attention.
This was our family vacation and like to move around the state. Pontoon worked well.

We found this lake home as it was described. The style is dated but certainly nice enough. We especially liked the kitchen and dining area. The owners provided a welcome bottle of wine which we appreciated.
We did not use the sauna, hot tub, tv, or grill. The pontoon ran well. The week was expensive because we paid for 11 people but only 6 of us could go. Overall. We had an enjoyable, relaxing time despite a couple of days of rain.

This was my second time here and everyone else's first. Property was great overall. Had some suggestions to help improve the stay for the next visit.
- Hot water in sink was from Hell itself. Scolding hot. No cold.
-Add t.v. to upstairs living room.
-The place was hot when we got there but cooled off fast: Down stairs was perfect till we had AC on for upstairs then got really warm.
-Hot tub was no higher than 90 degrees and couldn't go any higher before tripping the breaker. So didn't really use it.
-Sauna was perfect but the days were just to hot for us to really take advantage of it.
-Pontoon although slow was perfect for just cruising. Lake was all ours to use.
-Misquitos were out in force the whole time and with out the ability to smoke them out due to burn restrictions had to stay inside.
-Kitchen had everything you need for operating. Oven did take nearly 15 min to heat up.
Overall Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful location, plenty of room for all of the guests. Hot tub was not functioning, not informed of this prior to stay. Otherwise, it was just as the listing described.

Sauna bath is awesome. Beautiful log home in a beautiful place. In floor heat was so snuggly warm we didn't even light the fire place.

We had a great family ski weekend at Giants Ridge. The property was located very close to the ski hill and was very convenient. Plenty of beds for everyone and great gathering spaces to eat and enjoy games and conversation. Enjoyed the sauna after skiing. Only wish the hot tub was open in the winter. Thanks for the wonderful family weekend!

Great experience! Good communication. House is located close to Giants Ridge, which was perfect for our ski weekend. House has plenty of space for a group. Only bad thing was lack of internet connection. Overall good and will definitely stay here again when skiing at Giants Ridge.

The property had lots of usable space. The hot tub, fireplace and lake were wonderful.
The kitchen had lots to offer, though it was stated a crockpot is there for use.... there is one there but it is small.
The beds were comfortable and we had ample sleeping space.

Vrbo was easily accessible for golfing at Giants Ridge! The owners responded to our calls but overall, the cleaning company lets them down. Dusty furniture, dirty showers and musty basement! 12 golfing gals expected more!

This was the perfect place for our extended weekend getaway. Great location (minutes away from Giants Ridge), beautiful lake, and the house had everything you need (including a sauna and hot tub). Thank you for letting us stay in your home. We had a wonderful time.

The location of this home is fantastic and beautiful. Very peaceful and tranquil. Quiet and private. Sitting on the deck with the view of the lake is so relaxing, and having access to a pontoon boat is great. There is very little boat traffic on the lake so that is nice too. Nice grill, fire pit, and kitchen. The kitchen could use a new large frying pan, the one they have has been damaged by improper use and care. We travel with a cast iron pan for cooking so that didn't bother us, otherwise the kitchen was well stocked. The two upstairs adult bedrooms share the same bathroom so that was awkward. The downstairs bathroom is connected to the sauna, with the shower in the sauna room. The shower head is dripping so the downstairs has a "musty" smell that you may find unpleasant. The owner has put a dehumidifier downstairs to try to help. The carpets should be replaced as they are stained from guests pets. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend this house.

Cool log cabin, awesome hot tub and sauna swim raft, kayaks and paddle boarding, Mesabi Trail at end of the street, excellent super one grocery 8 mins away. Great porch. Comfy throughout and well appointed.

This property was perfect for our 3 grown children, spouses and grand kids! We loved the family spaces, dive platform and water toys, fire pit and the pontoon was a must for fishing and traveling to the beach across the lake. Also loved spending relaxing nights in the deluxe hot tub and sauna! There are so many biking, hiking and running trails in the area. We also found that Bass Lake was excellent for fishing and Mine Lake is crystal clear for swimming as well as using Wynne Lake. We will be back next year!

The cabin was wonderful to stay at. Our family had fun playing games, spending time together, and being out on the lake. The lake is small and as such had little traffic on it, which was nice. There was a bit of a musty smell in the lower level, and the cleaning crew hadn’t got everything as there was a dirty toothbrush in the basement shower/sauna and a couple pop bottles and trash items under a couch that our toddler pulled out.
Overall the cabin is stocked very well, the owner/manager was easy and welcoming to connect with. We would return.

The home was in a beautiful setting. Plenty of space for our party of 8 (4 adults, 4 teens). Owners were easily accessible when we had a question. Best swimming access we've had in a long time. Fun summer vacation...must be gorgeous in the winter! Overall, we had a great time!

Family vacation
We had a group of 7, ages 6 through 73. There were plenty of sleeping places and sitting areas. The kids loved the hot tub, paddle board, and floating dock. The adults enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, paddle board and kayaks. Everyone enjoyed the lake, fishing, boating! We had a great week.

Nice property with pontoon and kayaks and a canoe. Good location to Mesabi bike trail. The guys caught a number of good size walleye this year right off the dock!

We were disappointed that the hot tub was broken and not communicated, considering this was the primary reason we chose this vrbo, but we had a wonderful time! This was a great page to stay! There were 3 families and a total of 12 people and there was plenty of space! It was a very cozy home to spend a few days in. Great location if your going to Giants Ridge!! Would stay here again for sure! A++

Stayed for Nordic ski race
The property was wonderful! Plenty of room for the kids to sleep downstairs and a great kitchen and dining room area upstairs. It was perfect for us!

Very disappointed that the hot tub was not working we were told it would at least be hot but no jets but it was completely empty.
Beds were very uncomfortable
No crockpot and many other essentials even though it was advertised as having one and fully stocked.
Shower was awful
