We had a great time staying at this beautiful condo. Perfect location, with a quick walk down to Shipwreck Beach. BBQ’s on site, which was great with the ocean views.
Condo was super clean. Had everything you would need, to include washer and dryer. Host was even nice enough to leave a couple laundry pods. Jim was great to work with. We love Poipu Sands, and this is one of the best condos we’ve stayed in.

This property was awesome! It had a great view of Shipwreck beach, which is only a 5 minute walk away. It’s very spacious and clean. They provide chairs, a cooler and beach toys.
A washer and dryer is located right inside the room which was very useful.
The pool is a short walk from the room and very nice to relax by.

I had a great stay! The condo was clean and central to the many local areas I wanted to visit. My stay was also quiet and pretty flawless. Check in and out was easy, as well. I would recommend this location especially for a couple. Mahalo!

Kauai is one of my husband and my favorite islands in Hawaii to visit, and Poipu Sands is our "go-to" place to stay. This was the first time staying at this condo and I must say it was truly a delight. The location of this unit at Poipu Sands offers one of the best views of beautiful Shipwreck Beach from your lanai, in a well-manicured garden setting. The condo is very clean and well maintained throughout. Though we enjoy dining out at the many wonderful restaurants in the area, you will find an updated and well-equipped kitchen to create your own in-house meals. Jim is a super guy to deal with and is quick to respond to any questions or needs you may have. We look forward to a return visit!

Highly recommended! Had a really nice time! Just beware of the centipedes and cockroaches that can be in the bed.

The condo has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Especially appreciate the washer/dryer since the trade winds didn’t cooperate with us and it was very humid the week we stayed. The portable fans weren’t working but Jim was kind enough to have us buy one that he will reimburse us for.
The only drawback for me (but not my husband) is that there is some street noise (fortunately not too late at night or too early in the morning) and the sidewalk is right outside the bedroom windows which stay open all the time. Made me uncomfortable at first but I got used to it.
Great location for activities around the island. The walk to Shipwreck beach is about 10-15 min but it’s not a great beach for swimming . Poipu beach is a short drive away

I will try to rent this condo when we return next year. We have been celebrating the holidays here since 2012. This was the nicest condo we have stayed in. The others were nice. But this was my favorite.

The property was very clean and the location was incredible!!! The morning coffee view will not dissapoint!
*2 Minute Drive to Poipu Beach (great for kids and sea turtle watching)
*3 Minute drive to the shopping village which has restaruants, coffee and shopping
*10 Minute walk to Shipwreck Beach & the Hyatt Hotel
*Quick Drive to Koloa Town where they have great food trucks and a must try fish market
The bedding for the pull out couch could use an update. Holes and some stains, but becuase its a 1 bedroom im sure it rarely gets used. Was perfect for our toddler. They also only supply 2 beach towels so more should be available since it is marketed as a condo that sleeps 4. (we had to go purchase more once we arrived)
I highly reccomend this condo when visiting Kauai. You wont be dissapointed.

This condo was beautiful and in a great location. It was very clean and in good condition. If there was a drawback it was that there was no air conditioning. The humidity was tough but ceiling fans helped us sleep okay.

The place was great. The location was great. You could see the beach from our patio, a little ways off but not so far that you couldn’t walk it in just a couple of minutes. The condo was very clean very well stocked with cooking, eating, And leftover containers. The beach was really pretty had a great 6 mile walk along the beach 3 miles out and 3 miles back. The host, Jim, was very responsive. Every time I emailed him which was about three times, he responded within hours or the very next day if I happen to email him late in the day. I would highly recommend the place!

no safety bar in tub shower, very dangerous. Several 747 huge cockroaches in bathroom aND BEDROOM. Otherwise all was good. When bathroom is remodeled would rent again...

This is a large unit with a beautiful view of the beach from the patio doors. The breeze blowing up from the ocean cooled the entire unit. It was an amazing place to stay.

We've stayed in rental places many times throughout the years and this is one of the best experience. The property is very clean and instructions are very clear. I really like the washer and dryer inside the condo and really appreciated that even the detergent was provided. That was not expected. With both sides window open, it is very comfortable and the lovely breezee was my favorite part. Even in July AC was not necessary. The one and half bathroom was also very good ~ made our three-people stay very pleasant.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals, there were plenty of towels for the beach and bathrooms, and there was lots of space to spread out. We liked that there were beach chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. Poipu Sands is in a great location near nice beaches and restaurants. There are lots of walking trails nearby as well. We walked to the Grand Hyatt a couple times for breakfast and in the evening to watch the moonrise.

Phenomenal location - I walked to Poipu Beach / Pukka Dogs / the Hyatt / the golf course / the trails with absolute ease. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the patio. Everything in the condo worked perfectly. They were also happy to accommodate a later check out since our flight is a red-eye home! We weren't going to be in the condo most of the time and wanted something cute, simple and clean.

There were some things we were interested in cooking that we couldn't because the over wasn't working. Ultimately, that's wasn't really a big deal and we just shifted to things that could be cooked on the stove.
Beyond that, Jim's condo was fantastic. The beach chairs, cooler, etc. made packing lunch for at the beach a breeze. There's no AC but even with the high being in the 80's all week, the wind blowing through and the fans made it more than comfortable.
The outside of the building was being painted but they were already done with this unit. Only once was their gear in our was so we had to walk around the building to get to the parking lot. Not a big deal.
The sunrise every morning was over Shipwreck Beach and it was a short walk to the Makahuena Light for amazing sunsets. Both amazing.

Place is better than one imagines. A you ever need. Best time would be August and September when all the marvelous fruits come in and weather is at it's sunny best. February can be awfully rainy they say. We got lucky with this one!

Excellent location and views.
Oven not working, microwave handle broken, new one there taking up room, faucet sprayer not working. Nearby restaurants closed due to covid, so it would have been nice to be able to use the oven.

Enjoyed our stay as condo is walking distance to beach, shopping center and Hyatt. A few maintenance tweaks are needed in the condo that we made the owner aware of are: sticky key to open front door, broken toaster and oven, heavy/sluggish bedroom closet doors, loud washer/dryer. All things that a handyman could fix in a day. Otherwise good. Thanks.
