Lovely cabin in the woods with an incredible view of the lake. We had a family getaway and enjoyed the location very much. Our only suggestions would be that a few oversized baby gates be provided, as there are a lot of stairs and it was a challenge keeping our 2 year old granddaughter safe.

We had a great stay with 5 of my high school friends. Due to smoke from fires we were unable to ever get down to the water but we had a great time.

We had a wonderful time staying at Gary’s property. The home is spacious and well supplied. The view from the back deck is amazing!! We were grateful for the a/c on the main floor and loft, as the August sun beats in STRONG in the afternoon. Glad to see he updated the listing regarding the WiFi/internet and TV streaming; neither is provided by host. The deck and outdoor stairs definitely need some maintenance. Hopefully that will be seen to soon.
Overall we had a great time in the Coeur d’Alene/Harrison area and we will definitely be back!

We all had a great time. Swam mostly, but also had a good time in Harrison.

The location was perfect - quiet, out of the way and close to a marina. But the house needs some love. The inside was very nice, but There is no grassy area as shown - if there was, it is now over grown with tall weeds. We were going to bring our boat but decided not to and that was a good thing as there is no way we could have turned it around. The outside was very tired and the deck was super sketchy. Pictures online seem to be after a remodel some time ago.

We had a wonderful stay here! The cabin was spacious, well stocked and comfortable. It was located in a prime area with access to the public dock and nice trails.

We had our annual family get together at Carlin Bay last weekend, the home was perfect. Large kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment, plenty of places to sleep and just hang out and visit. Our son brought his fishing boat and we used the ramp just down the hill, couldn't be more convenient, you could walk to it from the house if needed. The Latitudes food trailer at the ramp and park has a great menu too. The outdoor fire and large deck are great to watch sunsets from, and the grill was big enough to make a meal for everyone. Had no trouble getting information from the owner and check in was quick over the phone. Great location, great stay.

We had a blast at Silverwood Theme Park,
Also, easy access boating tubing/fishing and side by side and many great places to enjoy a meal out.
We are already planning next years vacation

The house accommodated our extended family needs very well. The loft bedroom was a fun feature. Hope the owner has addressed an issue with the deck stairs which were in need of repair. Overall a great stay.

Loved it! Everything was excellent and the food truck, boat dock and boat sips nearby were an added bonus!

Lovely Place a a Home Base for Exploring CDA
The cabin was nicely appointed and had everything that we needed. Anyone with mobility issues should be aware that there is a long flight of stairs into the main floor. You will need to carry everything in up the stairs. This is very typical for all of the houses in this area since they are lakeside.
We enjoyed the deck with its beautiful views. We had plenty of room to park our car and trailer

We had a great time on our family vacation. This home offers a beautiful view of Carlin Bay. Each morning and night, we would sit on the deck and look out on the bay. You are away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. It is an easy drive to Coeur d’Alene and Harrison is just down the road. The owners and their management are easily to work with and very helpful. Highly recommend.

We had friends who stayed in Coeur d'alene and while this location was not convenient to CDA due to the lower speed limit to accommodate curving roads around the lake, the area was absolutely beautiful with a great "more remote feel". The property manager was phenomenal even escorting us to the lake house as we arrived after dark. He also sent directions with maps that were fabulous and suggested a food truck Latitudes that served up delicious dishes near a little swimming spot. We also spotted moose just a little south of here around Anderson Lake and 5 osprey with their 6 ft nests and 2 bald eagles. The basement and loft bedrooms were pretty warm and it was difficult to cool them off in the heat but the main floor cooled down well and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was great and filled with the right kinds of pots, pans, utensils - pretty much everything you need. The table easily accommodated 7 of us for dinner. We watched shooting stars at night from the deck, grilled out, celebrated a birthday and played the owner's guitar (thank you!) for added ambiance. It was great to be able to wash and dry clothes as well. A couple of us rode 34 miles of the CDA trail from Bull Run down to Chacolet Bridge and back to Harrison. We were fortunate to have been at the lake house at a time when the smoke from the fires lifted and the AQI improved. Our last day the smoke and heat rolled in. We were very worried in the beginning that the fires and air quality would require that we cancel and if that had occurred, the owner was willing to work with us to help recapture a bit of what would have been a big loss to us. Thankfully, we did not have to cancel and had a great time. The views of the lake from the house and deck are nice and the next door neighbor was too. A neighboring rooster was our alarm clock in the mornings. We hiked Mineral Ridge from here as well with fabulous views of the lake and enjoyed a gorgeous pink sky sunset. The loft situation is fine for families but can be a challenge for friends who may require more privacy as the shower and tub are completely out in the open in the loft. We were instructed to use a sheet to keep the friends downstairs from seeing the reflection of someone in the shower upstairs. Other than this, we truly enjoyed the lake house! For those who want to do all thing CDA, it would be better and more convenient to stay closer to CDA but if you are looking for a spot away from the city, this is a great option!

We really liked the kitchen and enjoyed the view from the deck and watching the eagles fly by. I would suggest that you paint a yellow strip on the edge of the step outside the deck doors. We kept tripping. Appreciated the greeting and tour by the care taker on arrival. Please leave written checkout instructions for those of us with short memories.

We loved our ladies getaway! The home was perfect for our group of 8. We shared amazing meals at the dining room table and spent our mornings and evenings on the deck overlooking the bay. The kitchen is stocked with everything this avid cook needed! Thank you so much to the wonderful hosts for thinking of every little detail.

The cabin is as beautiful as described, it has high ceilings and a loft with large windows. The property sits above a lake with a great patio view. We took our trip in the off season so there were few cars on the road. Deer pass through the property and you hear all kinds of nature, even eagles. There is no internet so you can use a cell phone hot spot but we brought a pocket WiFi and it seemed to allow us the stream some movies and check internet. The caretaker, Will, was very helpful when a storm came through one night and had great advice on where to eat in the surrounding areas. We would recommend the cabin and also a SUV, because there are some rough roads around the lake. Fantastic trip, we hope to come back!

A beautifl meeting place!
I could not recommend this cabin in Harrison more. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation! Not only was the property beautiful (so many new finishes on the interior, incredibly clean, excellent views from the large porch), but the owner and property manager were helpful and attentive when an unforeseen electrical short affected the water pump. They were quick to answer our call, and gave us great direction on how to fix the problem. It could have been a real issue, but with their help, it was only a blip.
Our young children were safe in the home and in the property. The short distance to the lake made it easy to go and enjoy the water. We will definitely be recommending this spot to friends, and hope to visit again soon.
