The mattress had a hole, was not comfortable. The room was very small and the bathroom had no door, just a sort of small wooden cover.

Spacious, comfy, silent room with great view. Perfect bed. Atmosphere of hotel more 5 than 4*. Beautiful creative details.

Breakfast could be higher quality, for instance more variety in bread, cheese and meats. Shower in our room on 6th floor had very low pressure.

They advertise with parking available while it's full. The bed was concaved. Resulting in backpain for the both of us. Dinner wasn't available, even though we arrived far before the closing of the kitchen. It was New Years Eve, so finding a restaurant to eat was a hassle. For hotel guests that's absolutely unacceptable. We couldn't have breakfast at the time we liked so we got another time in the schedule. In the morning when we showed up at THEIR appointed time for breakfast, which we already paid for, the girl at the desk just said it was full. We could see a several empty tables though. We told her we wouldn't have this. It was absolutely outrageous and therefor we went ahead and took one of the empty tables together with another couple. Who told us they had the exact same problem at breakfast. It was paid for and they show up at the right time. Only to be told in a very unkind way that the restaurant was full. Carlton Beach does not deliver what they promised and definitely know how to ruin your trip.

The shower would go from really hot to cold consistently. It was waaaay over priced I was not informed by staff that they were renovating the rooms. This meant that I was disturbed when trying to rest by loud drilling. I asked to be moved to a room where I could not hear it and was told I would have to pay the price difference. When I did change rooms, the bathroom system was very loud. it sounded like I could hear every room flushing the chain. There is no proper bathroom door, so couples be warned! The car parking is expensive in addition to the high room fees. €25 a day, plus €25 a day for my dog.
