Fantastic historic facility with amazing views

Fabulous location, stunning views, beautiful old buildings tastefully modernised inside; free EV charging overnight!
We had a meal in the café; it wasn’t brilliant. Next time we will know to go to the main restaurant

The building ,the pool ,the view absolutely beautiful
The matrass very very hard ,uncomfortable.

The location is beautiful. There are expansive views of Tortosa and surrounding valleys. The hotel is very pleasant, clean and well maintained. The food at the restaurant was very good.
Did not like breakfast. There was hardly a thing for a vegan to have for breakfast. Not enough fruit or veggies. A very small offering in fact from such a lovely property, quite a shame. No kettle in the room for tea.

The dominant position above the city is marvellous and gives a 360 view.
Rooms are clean and quiet (!).
Personnel very friendly.
Parking is up on the hill also, i.e. close by and free.
Excellent value for money.
Hard to say anything negative, sorry.
Perhaps: the restaurant does not fully meet the standards set by everything else. Food is good, service friendly, just the atmosphere doesn't convince.

A real parador in old building. Very comfortable spacious room. Good bed.
Food in the restaurant (breakfast) was good but was overpriced.

Parking and location are great. Guest areas lovely .
Calm environment .
Dated bathroom which didn’t smell at all fresh even though it was clean.

Location. Buildings. Interior decorations. Reception Staff and evening restaurant staff.
Morning kitchen staff were rude and unpleasant. Not even bothered to say good Morning.. Would have prefered to have been offered a room with a valley view. Noise of machines in the grounds was annoying.

It matched the high standards that I have come to expect when staying in Paradors. Generous room size and excellent bathroom layout, free parking and great location all added to our enjoyment. We did give the breakfast a miss however after reading other reviews, preferring to eat in a local cafe.

The Room air conditioning didn't work, so no heating and the bathroom was freezing, We had to call for a electric heater to keep us warm during the night.

Eating breakfast and dinner was expensive.

lovely surroundings. unexpected find.
nothing to complain. But it would have been nice to have a coffeemaker or hot water kettle in the room.
there is so much history. having some info in English would have been helpful.

Everything - great atmosphere and fantastic pool!
Bed mattress was a bit old and squeaky.

Amazing property and views. Staff was friendly and helpful, everything was top shelf.
Many of the best menu items were only availably for a minimum of 2 people- so I couldn't sample their best offerings as a solo traveler.

Swimming pool was good
Dinner good. Staff polite and helpful in the main.
Breakfast typical of a Parador if a little uninspiring
Access to swimming pool not straightforward
No help with luggage
Getting a decent cup of coffee for breakfast was very challenging

Loved the ambiance of the hotel as of all Paradors
Cost of meals and drinks expensive

The location and history of the Parador were excellent, the view over Tortosa from the "battlements" was superb. Lovely dining room with a good choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but didn't quite get it right, see "What didn't you like"
The main course was very good. I said, in Spanish to make sure there could be no mistake, that I am allergic to cheese. However, despite that, my desert either contained, or had been contaminated by, cheese. Fortunately I keep a regular supply of Piriton but I did have a most uncomfortable few hours until they took effect. Spoilt mu overall impression of the stay.

The location is fantastic, on the hill next to the castle, overlooking the entire town. A lot of history around this place. Beautiful view, even from the balcony. Many parking places around. The room size was large, so was the bathroom. Bed was a bit hard, but can't complain. The pool area seemed nice, but we arrived late in the evening and in the morning we opted to visit the town, so we skipped it.
It's a bit pricey overall, the price to quality ratio doesn't seem fair. Breakfast for €19 / person (so €38 per room) is way too expensive for Spain. Isolation is poor, especially in the hallways. Also the balcony and furniture are a bit dated - and not in a "historical" way.

The views were stunning.
