The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived pretty late at night. They called in the evening to make sure that we were still coming, which I appreciated. When we finally arrived they were very helpful getting us settled in to the room. Especially loved the fact that we were able to get 24 hour room service with a bottle of wine. Very nice after traveling for so long that day. The room service food was nothing amazing but at 2am I was very greatful to have it. The breakfast buffet was very nice. If we get the chance we will definitely stay at this hotel again.
I wish the pool was open a little later but I noticed 9pm was the standard closing time for every hotel we stayed at during this trip.

Good locations, nice breakfast.
I was in the extended part of the hotel which seemed a bit run down.

Really lovely stay. Staff were really friendly and nice. Gym and spa were lovely and the pool was really nice.
Would have liked a coffee machine in our room and our shower head was slightly broken.

Rooms was fantastic, very spacious and the bed was really comfy

Lovely hotel, great location walking distance to centre. Staff very helpful. Rooms lovely
Felt they needed more experienced staff during breakfast service. Slow in clearing away used delph etc & one staff at our table not experienced i.e. piling used plates on top of each other rather than clearing each onto one plate & easier to stack. I was fearful he'd drop the used plates!

The most comfortable hotel beds and the outdoor hot tub is fabulous.
Small number of heated loungers in the thermal suite.

Good location , staff were friendly & were accommodating to the customers needs & requests , good value for money , nice leisure facilities.
The little details were left undone (for example the soaps were not filled prior to our stay so they ran out while we needed them during our trip , there was not enough towels in the room so we had to request for more on two different occasions.

Facilities and spa were good. Service at dinner was good the girl looking after us last night at dinner was fantastic.
Extremely poor bar service and communication with staff. We were told we couldn’t have a cocktail in this 4 star hotel as they couldn’t find the “cocktail shaker” and staff couldn’t really make cocktails..then ordered a different drink which we waited 20 minutes. While we waited staff walked around talking and chatting one even vaped inside all while we were forgotten about. That evening we ordered another drink the order was wrong and we were overcharged, when we asked to speak to a manager we were encouraged not to by staff. We were then told by a woman who didn’t introduce herself that we “should calm down and get a drink” we were both polite when speaking to the staff and have both worked in hotels for years and would never speak to customers in this manner. unfortunately the customer service at the Galmont did not meet our expectations. Something that could simply have been overcome with communication and understanding was instead played down and really dampened our experience.

Location, hot tub , bar food
Unfriendly reception staff, outdated bathrooms. Pool & showers could do with a serious makeover

Rooms need updating.

The rooms were very spacious and very clean! The location of the hotel was very close to the square.
The breakfast had a wide variety and would definitely recommend.
The service at breakfast was slow each day, the cleaning services wasn’t that great, we had to find our own clean towels from the staff.
The prices at the bar were slightly over priced.

Modern hotel with the comfiest bed and in the ideal location just minutes from bars/restaurants etc. We were also upgraded to a room with a sea view which was fab!

Our room was perfect for our stay. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. The staff at front desk, in restaurant, in the spa, and around the property were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the view of the water.
We didn’t like the half-door for the shower. Our room’s decor was more for business, but everything was clean and of very high quality.

Located well close to town, comfortable bed and good facilities. Gym was a bonus and well equipped.
Parking was expensive and 4 times the exit card wouldn't work even though validated which means parking again, lift back to reception etc

We were very disappointed with this property. No positive comments to offer.
Upon arrival with a pack of tour bus passengers, the staff checked in all of them (all parties in each room were individually checked in) before even acknowledging us. We were given a room in the old wing that was a long and confusing hike away. Very old, small and stuffy room with no A/C. We were told that our king size room reservation through Booking.com mentioned no A/C for this room - this is NOT true. We were told no rooms with A/C were available. They delivered a noisy portable fan. Lots of bird poop on the window that overlooked the busy and noisy hotel entrance. The room can best be described as skanky. Old, worn out, cramped, poor sound insulation, bathtub/shower tough to get into and poorly functioning hand held shower wand (no shower head). Maid service did not bring new towels and just re-hung our used towels, all they did was make the bed. Also, no creamer with coffee condiments. The location is behind the huge bus terminal and not convenient at all for walking the town.

The bed and pillows were good but the room size and furnishings were very average. The room we were in was Superiour recently upgraded room. (251) Very average. The breakfast was fabulous and service at bar and check in excellent.
Disappointed with room - very standard. The attendant at the pool was almost stopping us going for a swim without €3 for a cap. We had no cash on us and offered to drop it back to him. We was not happy with this and eventually we spoke to a very helpful person at receiption who gave him the ok to let us in. We paid on check out for swim hats this morning.

Excellent breakfast with numerous good food and drink options. Clean facilities, good eating places in hotel and easy walking destinations from hotel.
The layout of the hotel. Multiple lifts and very long corridors. It was quite a hiking experience to get to your room.
