Hilton brand was let down here sadly

Reception was nice and big and spaces around were bright

Nice hotel, good location, but could be better.

The room was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed, desk and sofa. The bathroom was also clean and had a bath. All the staff were extremely helpful and polite.

The room was very cold. I put the heater on but the room did not get warm. The switch on the heater was loose and I did not feel comfortable leaving the heater on all night because of this. I was so cold I did not sleep well. Also, the shower head was so high up I was unable to move it. The water went everywhere except on me. It took a few minutes for the water to get hot. I was in a hurry to leave due to an appointment and did not have time to report the above issues. Room 219. I think this hotel looks a bit tired and in need of a refresh. On other matters. When I arrived I was asked to pay for breakfast. I booked through booking.com and the booking included breakfast. The receptionist said she was unable to see this on her system. I had to log onto booking.com and screen shot the available rooms at the same price including breakfast. Had they all been booked up I would not have had any proof as booking.com did not include this either in their receipt. I paid £12 for breakfast but the receptionist said she would refund this. I haven't received it yet but I expect it will take a few days. Also on booking.com, there is no mention of parking at £7.

The rat outside the hotel. The food that was being served in the hotel dining room that evening, as it was very limited and when I asked about if there was a bar menu I was told there wasn't one for me only to see later other customers ordering off a bar menu.

Overall good experience

Everything in the hotel was fine, understandable after all lockdowns they didn't offer all the menu in the lobby bar, but still they serve drinks. Thank you so much to the Housekeeping team /especially the lady who manage to do that/, I forgot a stuff in our room and they have been so kind to post me back. Really professional

The sauna doesn't work, as it's been under refurbishment, but I really can't understand all the hotels and leisure centers, why they don't use a year in lockdown to do so?

Would stay again but staf need help to be able to do a good job.

It was all very comfortable.

The staff were lovely but there were not many of them doing many jobs. For a group of us there was one bar person at the Langton and no one seemed to be at the main bar. Also on check in money was taken for breakfast and again at check out?

How the mighty has fallen

It’s difficult to like something that failed in so many ways

No hair dryer in the room No hot water on 2 separate day Sofa bed was a leather chair with a sheet put on it. Family’s can’t use the pool until after 0900hrs Beds were very hold and incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Mould found on the walls in the bathroom.

We were told we hadnt booked breakfast when we had, we were not notified in advance there were additional parking charges and the bathrooms were tired and not very clean

The rooms very outdated.not very clean, stains all over shower curtains, hairs in the bed, pillows were dead, bed uncomfortable. Drinking glasses dirty, dusty all over the TV and cabinet, windows dirt all over inside. Curtains very dirty, stains on the carpet

Disappointing

Dirty disabled toilet areas , when asked to clean area wasn’t cleaned on my next visit, stairway is not clean, bedroom curtain, mouldy, bathroom area, not clean from previous visit. Requested extra pillows, not given until final night of stay. parking facility joke. Totally disappointed four star, two star Service and that’s being kind

Breakfast and swimming pool were great. Size of the room was great.

Dirty towels in the bathroom when I checked in. & I was only staying for one night and had the cleaners trying to come in at 9am and again at 10:50 (check out is 12pm) I should have do not disturb sign on but I think it’s ridiculous that they keep trying to come in when I haven’t checked out.

Would never stay again I will be taking this further

On arrival it almost felt like we were looked down at. I’m very unsure why. Outside the hotel is very outdated paint peeling from windows, definitely not how the pictures show. Window in hotel room had mould on it and water dripping on the inside, food was under one of the beds, bath was dirty around plug hole, stained carpets. Went to bar to ask for some squash for the children got sent to the restaurant which was closed, a member of staff approached me and asked what I’m doing I asked for a jug of squash for my children, we got frowned upon and looked at us very confused. I just wanted a jug of juice, after about 5 minutes of explaining why I want juice someone got us some then said in a very snotty way “you do have to pay for this” yes I’m aware of that that’s fine I replied. As we walked of the lady and a male member staff stood there watching us and talking about us… like it was something weird to ask for?

I have stayed at a number of Hilton properties, disappointed at this Hilton Hotel.

The fact the property was close to the motorway.

The standard of the Hotel was quite poor, There was a damp smell in the staircase. The restaurant staff were not very approachable and service was ok. The chef felt he was doing me a favour to make an omelette which i had requested.

The staff were nice.

The room was damp, dirty and in poor condition. Carpets were stained, mold around windows. Bathroom was very tired and felt dirty. Very run down and in need of updating. For what we paid I was expecting a much better quality hotel. The photos on the website do NOT represent what is actually there. The staff were nice.

Needs a good clean and rooms maintained to a better standard

The hotel was beautiful and location was excellent for us. We only stayed one night just for a trio to see our daughter at uni. The room was a fantastic size for a family

The room initially looked good. The bathroom was a disgrace!! The room looked uncared for, unclean and the mould on the window was pretty disgusting. When I asked for non feathered pillows they brought me sofa cushions in a pillow case.

Hilton basic rather than luxury.

Room good clean and comfortable

Toilet roll poor quality and VAT of nearly £20 on room originally shown as £90 something pounds pushed bill up to nearly £120 at hotel bit disappointing so had breakfast at Macdonalds rather than paying nearly £34 at hotel.

Good stop over to break up a journey, warm pool

Big room, comfy matress, lots of space in lobby, pool warm and large,easy to find, lots of tea/coffee/milk in the room. Staff at reception, restaurant and bar nice. Staff at living well really helpful. Good choice in restaurant and portions huge! Breakfast very good.

Bathroom old and fan noisy, pillows too soft, room cold, 4 bar power socket on wall. Coffee bar didn't look open, a bit understaffed? Lobby toilets didn't flush! Ladies changing room at living well a bit tired - woodlice and missing swimming costume dryer.

You might get an extra charge, be careful

Big room, suitable for family and breakfast

First they tried to sell me the room at a higher price, after showing them the booking.com price they agreed on that but charged me extra for car parking which I learnt later was free for who stays at the hotel. They apologized and told me that i already checked out so they can't refund. For customers who book via booking.com be careful.

Would never stay at a Hilton hotel again, so dirty

The jacuzzi only

Dirty lampshade in room, it looked like it had blood splattered on it, carpet was stained, bathroom looked old, overall the room was old, bedding had a shoe mark on it, small hairs on the bedding before we even touched it, overall very dirty and disgusting. The room had connecting rooms on both sides and one side was small children who kept opening their side of the door and yelling at the top of their voices. We were told our room was far away from everything because they wanted to give us a room away from all the noise of all of their younger guests that weekend. That was a lie…

The breakfast was hot. The towel quality was great.

No AC anywhere in the hotel. Poor quality beds, we didn’t sleep well at all. The mattresses are so bad, the springs are popping out! The swimming pool area was not clean, dirty. The shower heads needed help.

Good customer service, lovely food but very tired looking. Not what you’d expect from a Hilton Hotel.

The reception and downstairs areas are very nice. The staff in all areas are excellent. They can’t do enough for you. We had an issue with our bedroom and maintenance we’re onto it straight away and the problem resolved.

The bedrooms are very tired looking and seriously need updating.

I expected far far better from a world famous hotel chain.

Not really anything to like, the visit was a shambles from start to finish. I was expecting so much better from a world famous hotel chain

To start with our price had over doubled in price, tou have to pay to park they upgraded our room when not informing us which raised the price. The staff didn't seem to care. When we finally got to our room there was peeling paint in the bathroom, dirty tiles in the shower, a massive crack about the sink. Not to mention the holes amd rips in the towels. Stains on the carpet amd a windo that didn't close
