Our favorite London Hotel

The Chesterfield is our go to hotel in London. We love the Mayfair location. The staff is excellent and, amazingly enough, remembered us from our stay two years ago. This time they gave us The music Room, which is gorgeous.

Posh hotel with a heart, if you love history and Georgian architecture this is the place to stay.

The Chesterfield charmed us from the moment we arrived and the staff were warm and responsive in every respect. We took two rooms for five nights and the hotel was a welcome sanctuary after mad days out. The rooms are quintessentially English and the Mayfair location was perfect for our time in London. A cosy bar with John the piano player adds to the romance.

Een fantastisch hotel met ongekend luxe à la carte ontbijt op een top locatie in Londen!

Een prachtig, typisch Engels hotel op een toplocatie 'in de achtertuin van Buckingham Palace'. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, een heerlijk bed, heerlijke douche, heerlijke handdoeken, super schoon. Het à la carte ontbijt (voor ons volledig inclusief) was het beste ontbijt dat we ooit gehad hebben. Wat een ongekende luxe. Een absolute aanrader. Als we weer naar Londen gaan, hopen we dit hotel weer te kunnen boeken...

In eerste instantie schrokken we even van de vooraankondiging dat per nacht 15 pond aan service/fooi zou worden afgeboekt van de creditkaart. In de loop van de dagen dat we er waren, waren we echter zo enthousiast over het personeel, dat we het de 60 pond (we verbleven er vier nachten) waard vonden. Althans: geen discussie waard. Als we het er niet mee eens geweest zouden zijn, hadden we dat aan kunnen geven.

Gayet güzel, tavsiye ederim.

Otel çalışanları çok ilgiliydi. Otelin konumu mükemmeldi. Keyifli bir konaklama deneyimiydi. Odanın büyüklüğü Londra ortalamasına göre iyiydi. Temiz bir otel. Her iş seyahatimde tekrar kalmayı düşünürüm.

Asansörlerden biri çalışıyordu. Aşağıya inmek için uzun süre beklememiz gerekti. Otelin restoranının menüsü biraz zayıftı. Odalar biraz soğuk, ısıtmakta zorlandık. Ve yatak yastıkları biraz kötüydü çok inceydi bu sebeple rahat edemedim.

A pleasure

Breakfast was exceptional, cooked to order and served at the table - no buffet and therefore so much more civilised, staff service was exceptional, polite and cheerful, properly trained. room is small in common with most hotels in the centre of London but cosy and with character.

Adding a £15 service charge to the bill. It's basically an unsubtle way of increasing your bill, it's not that the staff aren't worth it, but aren't they paid properly?

We loved our room. Comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed the breakfast. Loved your bar. Exceptional staff in all areas of the hotel. Reception, housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff were all incredible. Took care of our needs. Looked out for all guests. Made everyone feel welcome. We had last minute issues with getting to our flight. Problem at our end with uber. They were on top of it to get us a cab and fast!

Excellent hôtel très bien situé, au calme et offrant des prestations de qualité.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter Londres à pied, en métro ou en bus type Tootbus /big bus. Personnel souriant et sympathique. Suite junior spacieuse et déco agréable. Quartier silencieux la nuit. Déjeuner délicieux et beaucoup de choix.

Ein Hotel, das alle Erwartungen übertrifft

Wir sind schon viel gereist aber hatten selten so ein tolles Hotel. Alle Mitarbeiter:innen waren mehr als nur freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und toll ausgestattet - im Vorhinein konnten wir sogar angeben, dass wir zB eine Yogamatte im Zimmer haben möchten. Das inkludierte Frühstück durfte man á la carte bestellen und es wurde dann serviert. Wir haben jeden Tag etwas Neues probiert und alle Gerichte waren ausgezeichnet. Die Lage ist auch ein Traum - wichtige Sehenswürdigkeiten wie zB der Buckingham Palace oder der Hyde Park liegen in Gehweite. Eine U-Bahn Station ist auch quasi gleich ums Eck. Direkt neben dem Hotel befindet sich der sogenannte "Shepard's Market" wo man sehr gut (aber auch etwas teuer) essen gehen kann. Insgesamt hatten wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub und werden, sollten wir wieder einmal nach London reisen, auf alle Fälle wieder das Chesterfield Mayfair buchen.

Very good central London hotel, well appointed and friendly staff.

Location in Mayfair is excellent. Bedrooms are fairly small but well appointed and comfortable.

Air conditioning in the bar area. Really nice bar but spoilt by the cold.

Became full of the additional service charge...

The facility was delightful. The staff were very attentive, the room was clean and breakfast delicious with a large variety.

What we did not like was the surprise of a $30 per day service charge at the end of our stay. Totalling an extra $120.00. I found this extremely rude, as we had already paid for our room through booking.com. This was not an optional charge "tip" it was placed on our account and we were given the bill. When I questioned the charge the girl at the counter told me it was the standard service charge. It left a very bitter taste to our stage.

Mooie locatie met allervriendelijkst personeel.

Locatie ontbijt (!) en personeel. Ik had bezwaar tegen de toegewezen kamer (anders dan verwacht gelet op plaatjes booking en schreeuwend hoge tarieven )en men heeft er alles aan gedaan om mij een betere kamer te geven.

Kamers zijn wat oubollig en prijzen hoog.
