Excellent stay in Apenzelle

The receptionists were extremely helpful. They gave us so many tips on hikes we could do in the area and explained how the Apenzelle pass works. The hotel is very centrally located right off the main street. We ate in the hotel restaurant every day. It is the nicest Italian in the town. Our room was spotless and the staff were more than happy to provide us with extra towels for swimming. We really enjoyed the breakfast too, there were lots of options and everything was well stocked.

Very friendly staff, they provided us with many valuable tips. Really there to help you. We were lucky to get the "Adler suite" which is beautifully decorated in the style of Appenzell. Location of the hotel is perfect, at the entrance of the pedestrian area, and approx 5' walk from the train station.

Checking Adler Hotel? Go no further. Reception was extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. Perfect.

Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The room and bathroom were comfortable.

Very clean and well maintained property. Great location for jumping to sights in the Appenzell region.

The location of the hotel was near the town centre. The room windows had the beautiful view of the green hills, breakfast was ok, all the staff were friendly and helpful especially Mathias.

The room was on the second floor at the front of the hotel which tended to be noisy at times.

Exceptional services and all the staffs are helpful and pleasant. The owner was extremely kind and friendly. We got waived off our pet fee. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant experience.

Super family-owned hotel

This hotel could not have ben more wonderful. Mathew (son of the owners) was our inn-keeper and he treated us like we were some special dignitaries. He upgraded our room, arranged for us to get to Stein (cheese making village) and sent the wait staff to the private back patio to bring us drinks from the bar. He created us like we were old friends and introduced us to his parents, Dinner in the restaurant was wonderful and the patio was comfortable and well served by the staff. Breakfast was good and plentiful

We hd a bit of a problem finding the hotel after arriving by train....may have been our fault.

We loved everything, the hotel was spotless, the staff went over and above to accommodate us, nothing was a problem, very comfortable beds, lovely hot showers and breakfast was fabulous, either sitting outside or inside. The restaurant "Little Italy" had fab food, we ate there 2 out of 3 nights. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for everything.

Amazing! Can’t wait to go back!

The staff were incredible. Very helpful in answering questions and providing suggestions for things to do. Plus they were very accommodating to us when one person in our group was sick and needed a little extra time before checking out. I can’t say enough good things about the hotel and staff! They made our stay so much better for just being friendly!

The hotel staff were fantastic and super friendly, can't wait to visit them again.

The room came with breakfast and it was good. Local produce like cheese and cold cuts. they had gluten free bread for me too. Freshly brewed coffee was also available on request. it was a great start to our Switzerland holiday.

Won't change a thing.
