Exceptional

Top location next to the Givskud ZOO. Very nice and clean hostel, one of the best I saw. Large and well equipped kitchen, dining room, a lot of LEGO brics :)

2 sets of bedlinen was missing in our room and there was nobody to fix it during weekend but it was minor problem for us.

nice stay overall, good setup, but payment and lack of breakfast options were a let down.

it’s a great affordable way to stay as a family together in a spacious room with en-suite bathroom.

it wasn’t possible to pay on site and the links they provided did not work. I had to pay by international bank transfer which cost an additional £9.50 as well as the hassle of communication back and forth. There was also no breakfast offered or available despite it being referenced clearly on the website. No member of staff is onsite on Sundays in case you have any issues.

Great hostel to stay (with kids)

Friendly staff, nice and clean room, basic but everything you need. Kitchen clean and tidy. Decent breakfast. Wifi. Great location. Free parking in front of hotel. Nearby supermarket. Zoo across the street (lovely zoo btw!), legoland 20 minutes. Vejle city is 20 minutes with a cozy city center. Would definitely recommend this hostel!

Nice hostel with good kitchen

The kitchen is well equipped with several cooking places and pots. We could cook without waiting time and kitchen seemed well managed by the staff and guest. Room is also fine and clean. There’re two doors between hallway and your beds. So the noise from other guest might be reduced at late night.

The bathroom is bit old style. The floor can easily get wet after shower.

Near to the zoo and even closer to the bus stop to Billund.

In late evening the only transport to get there from the airport is a taxi, which is quite expensive. Minor thing, but I didn't like a shower as almost all bathroom gets wet when you take a shower.

Zoo very close. Staff friendly. Large kitchen and lots of space for children.

Lots of people sharing the kitchen and not everyone loves times. Not everyone adheres to the peace of the night.

Great value for money, endorsed by the kids

Beautiful surrounding neighbourhoods. Double decker beds in a family room were loved by the kids. Shared kitchen with spacey dining room was practical. Good value for money

Shared kitchen and play areas were not cleaned properly. E.g. the trash bins were totally full and was still untouched the following day. No hand towels refilled after the previous guest, so we did not have any. Small things but those divided out experience from excellent to great.

Kids loved it!

Everything was perfect. It was our second visit here. The staff is very nice and helpful, the hotel is located right next to Givskud Zoo. The kitchen is fully equiped and useful. I have nothing to complain about it.

We liked our trip very much, thank you!

Breakfast was good, we missed a porridge little bit, but warm bred was excellent. Beds were super comfortable. It was a little noisy in the evening since everything sounded good through the door. The location was good, just a sort trip from Billund airport with rental car. And of course we liked the zoo very much!

We weren´t very attentive about it ourselves, but somebody could have informed us of all the possibilities there were - for example waking up with animals (I would have booked it, but somehow missed it) and that it would have been good idea to buy the zoo tickets on the very first day, so we could have visited it more.

Very nice hostel to visit Legoland, Lego house, lalandia in Billund, Denmark

Very nice service! The staffs are very kind, friendly and considerate. Perfect breakfast! It was delicious. Not only my wife and I but also my three kids enjoyed it a lot.

Superb

We spend 4 nights in the Zoo Hostel Givskud with 2 grown ups and 3 children (4-10). The hostel is nice and clean and has a good breakfast. The personal is very friendly. Also the common kitchen has everything you need. For 10DKK you can use the washing machine. It is perfectly placed to take a trip to the Legoland (20min away). When you stay in the Zoo hostel you only need to pay once the entry to the zoo to enter the zoo as often as you like during your stay.

It was not obvious for us if the bed sheets were included. They are included.
