Location was excelent Price was good/cheap

Mattress (old) Toilet - a shelf inconveniently located above the sink making very challenging to use it / brush teeth. The whole place looks dated and shows signs of heavy use.

There was a poo in the toilet when i arrived Apparent thin walls, very noisy from ajoining room Breakfast although £8 was very lacking Shouting from kitchen when staff got orders wrong

safe for solo female traveller. perfect for reaching Oxford by bus, bus stop outside door but quiet room. very clean.

Many areas of the building in need of remedial work, paint work needs a wash and touch up including front windows which are the first thing you see on arrival

bed small double, really not big enough even two pillows side by side overhung the bed. bathroom clean but very dilapidated cracked tiles in shower, plenty of hot water but low water pressure, shelves above sink restricted access to sink. No visitor information in room at all, not even a map of the city. Also payment requested in full on arrival before even seeing room which I find very unusual.

The room was fairly big despite small en suite but at least self contained.

Shower fitting was falling off the wall. Hook on back of door fell off when I put a towel on it. TV cable was barely fitting in the socket- very precarious. Lightbulb out in bathroom.

The building, the size of the room and the dinning room were fair

The towels were very old and very small. The heating was on even when it was quite warm. We couldn't open the windows because of the noise. The quilt was too thick so we all were too warm to sleep well.

Location was just a bus ride from the centre or an taxi ride less than £10. The staff were very friendly.

The headboards on the bed were wooden and any slight movement they banged agains the wall. This made it impossible to sleep through the night. A simple Solution of having a felt pad on the wall to stop the noise would have been great. The sink in our room was completely blocked so no water drained away. In the second room hired the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and same problem with the headboard. The shower did not work in this room.
