Some good, some bad...

The resort as a whole felt very safe as it is a gated entrance and security always available. We actually liked that it was a way out of the main town and enjoyed the walks in (20-30 mins). The apartment is very private, as with all on this resort, and it is a luxury to have your own pool and areas to sunbathe. The apartment had a good fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher, and hob, as well as enough items to cook with if required. The showers were powerful and warm, and the toilets flushed well. For the price we paid, we had a lovely weeks holiday and would return to this resort..... but not this villa in its current state.

As stated above, there were some good points with this villa, However, this villa is in serious need of renovation. We are not picky travellers. We accept that these places are used by travellers all year long, and things get run down from time to time. But with this place, I have to agree with previous reviews. There is a major damp problem in the kitchen behind the corner cupboards that really does make the whole villa smell of mould. It seems to me to be caused by the lack of tiles on the wall in the shower in the main bathroom, which is just plastered with cracks in, that is directly the other side of the wall from this cupboard. We took all items out of the cupboard and bought air freshner to counter this so that we didn't have to open it. There is very little ventilation in the apartment, no extractor fans in any of the bathrooms, and no air-conditioning (although not advertised, the unit has been removed). There are electrical issues throughout the villa, from the outside speaker system being a decorative relic to lights not working or bulbs missing. One light switch in the bedroom turned the plug off... The bathroom ceiling started leaking when we were there. We told the pool maintenance guys when they arrived mid week but left Saturday with no solution other than wet towels on the floor to stop the constant drips. The upper terrace is very run down (we barely used this), However, the broken jacuzzi is still up there along with the sun bed that has seen better days. And there is an almost completely demolished villa behind this one that is a bit of an eye sore to look at from up there (not the owners fault, but still not the best view). **This villa was cheaper than the other private villas for the week we stayed, and as others have stated, you get what you pay for. Did we have a good week away? Yes. We're there definitely problems with the villa? Yes. Would we return to this villa? No, but we would definitely return to this area.

location lovely. plenty of space.

the terrace really let the property down. Was told it doesn't advertise a hot tub after reading many reviews about it not working but there is still an old empty one on the terrace next to a Balinese bed which has seriously seen better days making it feel gruby up there. The pool would benefit from a repaint to make it look better. some lights not working. Shower not tiled in main bedroom. Toaster blew the fuse but was replaced eventually but upon reading reviews it had obviously not worked before us!!! Overall it needs some TLC to bring it up to standard of others on the complex. There is a reason it is so much cheaper than others.. You get what you pay for.

Upon reflection don’t book this property-and avoid booking.com as well

The villa was in a good location with a sea view from the upstairs terrace-all spoiled by a poorly maintained property and lack of support to resolve

We were told someone would meet us at the property to hand it over-however they couldn’t be bothered and so we had to send confidential passport and financial information via messages which most likely is a breach of the GDPR. This also meant that the property wasn’t inspected before we took it over - the pool was dirty (there were building works at the next door villa that no-one had the courtesy to forewarn us about before we arrived) and unusable and remained so for the first 3 days of our stay. Everyone we dealt with to try and resolve the issues didn’t speak English and so the genius idea to drain the pool and refill it in order to clean it didn’t work as planned because the chap refilling it didn’t speak English and so he just put clean water into the pool which still had dirt in the bottom. The poolside showers were all broken, the safe wouldn’t work and the key to one of the rooms was broken and so we were left in an insecure environment for 2 days. The paint on the terraces was peeled off in patches, the day bed was broken, paintwork generally was shoddy and 2-tone white, and the walls in the terrace areas had huge cracks in them. We had a message from the local agent to say that the air conditioning was working before we arrived-that was a lie because we worked out that the air conditioning unit had been removed most likely to cut costs re. recent fuel price increases. Vacanzy response was that the property never came with air conditioning which was news to us as everyone books these villas (we know because this was our 4th year) for 3 things: quality villa, with air conditioning and (usable) private pool - exactly all of the things missing from this property. And booking.com support? Non-existent-they don’t reply to customer service messages within the promised 24 hours, their telephone support is a joke (cut off 4 times sometimes even before we could speak to someone) and simply didn’t want to know-kept apologising profusely but nil practical.

you get what you pay for and this is very true the Villa very very tired and needs some TLC but in saying that the other

lovely and lots off outdoor space full kitchen bedroom very comfortable

the pool was not clean when we arrived had call to ask them to clean it was green. also had to call again mid week to ask them to clean again

Stayed before in another villa which was in a better condition, although this one slightly cheaper,

Private terrace, quiet location. House well kitted out.

House in need of a bit of TLC. No wardrobe doors, chipped bathroom mirror. No tiles to main bathroom.

Disappointing

Well equipped kitchen .Enclosed complex near Corralejo. Lidl and Mercadona walking distance . Nice weather and view from terrace. Parking adequate.

Dirty pool.Old ,noisy fridge .Washing machine rusted and unsanitary .Same for jacuzzi . Sewage smell from guest bathroom, poor water drainage in both showers. Broken /missing doors @ wardrobe . Slippery floors on the patio and roof are health hazard Tanning beds old and merit replacement. Needs renovation ! Two walls nearby undergoing renovation / beware of noise .

A terribile experience, but i was prepare thanks other booking comments!

- The villa is on the Bahiazul Residential

- Swimming Pool dirty from the first day After an email two weeks before my arrival in -Fuerteventura about the maintenance of the house and the confirmation of the villa that didn’t have any problems, the house like others comments said need serious maintenance! -one of the window can’t look - the hot water work only in one rooms - the house have musty smell the owner can’t rent a villa that need a lots of maintenance! i hope booking will delete and check their account until the fix the house!

Misleading and Dishonest

We were looking forward to this holiday having worked through the pandemic as key workers NHS. Upon arrival the property was dilapidated, tired and quite frankly dirty. We immediately asked the proprietor for a refund within 2 hours of arrival via Booking.com this was refused. Instead offered £250 wallet bred it as goodwill from booking.com. The accommodation offered to heat the pool for free no refund. I expressed my concern to booking.com of how ethical they would be when it comes to deposit I was told not to worry. Now the property is refusing to refund my deposit saying it was Damaged. It was cleaner than when we arrived.

Lack of cleanliness, Cracked flooring a health and safety hazard, generally dilapidated. Booking.com were sent pictures. There’s also building work going on directly in the property attached next to pool area, constant noise.

Lovely house in poor condition.

The house is very nice. Architecture of the whole resort is a bit kitsch but it's kind of romantic. The layout of the house is great. Hidden patio with private heated pool is great. Orientation of the bedrooms into the patio is great as well, you won't be disturbed by neighbors. I really appreciate lot of towels we had. Roof terrace is marvelous! Siez of the pool is comfortable, you can swim there easily.

The house needs a serious maintenance. Lot of things are broken. The best years of the house are over, but it's not difficult to repair it. Simply I don't understand, why the agency doesn't make this simple repairs. Lot of bulbs are broken. There is a serious mold in kitchen and you can hardly open the cupboard because of the unhealthy smell. The dishwasher is working only on half, lower basket doesn't fit the dishwasher, it's from different model. The shower faucet in main bathroom stays in your hand and it was pretty difficult to close the water then. Hinges of the wardrobe are unfixed. Faucet in toilet is moving. It's pitty the jacuzzi on roof terrace is broken. Generally it's nice house in poor condition. But the price was fine. Finally everything wasn't such a trouble to move out immediately. Just a pity. Next time I would stay in Bahiazul again maybe in different house.
