Enjoyed our one night stay at Panama House

The location was good - walkable distance to the El Cangrejo neighborhood which has plenty of restaurants, shops, parks, and historical interests. The staff at Panama House were friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean and had great air conditioning. It was lovely to have a quick breakfast of bread and jam, bananas and coffee in the courtyard in the morning, while exchanging “holas” with Blue, the parrot!

The beds were not very comfortable.

La señora en recepción muy poco profesional, me dijo que no sabía como usar la computadora para poder ver la reserva y le dije que no se preocupara que mejor me hiciera una reserva que estaba cansado y sólo quería dormir y me dijo que no sabía cómo hacer eso que mejor buscara otro lugar, de verdad están cansado y sólo quería dormir.

A lovely stay in an oasis within the city.

Panama House B&B is in a great spot in the city- so much around you and convenient to get everywhere (about 10-15 min drive to Casco Viejo or can also take the metro). It also felt like a little oasis with the greenery and birds in the back :) Alva is an amazing host and was so lovely to be around! Not to mention, this is the cleanest B&B I’ve ever stayed in. I stayed a few nights in both the shared dorm and the tent and they were both great experiences. Very appreciative of the hot water, A/C at night, great wifi and continent breakfast. Bring earplugs if you are not a heavy sleeper because the birds are very loud around 6-7 am. Definitely support this locally owned business! (Pic of bathroom is the outdoor bathroom for the tents)

We will definitely stay here on our next adventure to Panama City!

The owners go the extra mile to make sure that your stay is comfortable. Checking in is easy, they can accommodate late arrivals due to flight delays as well....The location is perfect for visiting the awesome downtown as well as the Canal Area. There is a great restaurant across the street that serves killer Colombian cuisine...Use the amazing UBER service to travel throughout the city, especially to Casco Viejo !

Had such a good time at the start of my vacation that I made sure to stay there on my way home.

staff is exceptional, I felt like part of the family, can't wait to go back! everything is very clean, nice breakfast, I highly recommend Panama House B&B.

Excellent value and great staff

Super nice staff. Only 10 minutes walk to the Via Argentina metro stop. This place has hot water, air conditioning and lockers. Five minutes walk to a huge grocery store. Clean.

AMAZING

we absolutely loved our stay here! the family are just amazing, so friendly and kind (even the parrot)! the property was so quirky and very clean, the table tennis and pool table was an added bonus. would 100% stay again if we return to Panama!

One of the best places I have stayed. I would put 20 -- if I could!

Perhaps one of the best places I have stayed so far. Everything was exceptional -- from the kindness and attentiveness of staff, to the clean and comfortable room, and amazing patio inside. Coffee with the toasts and jam in the morning provided. The three parrots in the internal yard made it even more special. The internal patio and common areas are superb - very comfortable, green and quiet. At times it felt so comfortable -- that I did not want to leave the place. And on top of that , somehow all people who stayed at this place were interesting and sociable. Also as I was there for the New Years -- hosts offered some food/drinks and joint celebration - and that was very nice! Absolutely highly recommended. If I am ever back to Panama, there is no other place I would go.

We spent 4 days in Panama City before traveling to the interior for a 3 month stay in Panama. This was a great spot for us to recharge after a couple of days of hectic travel. If your looking for basic well priced safe and clean accommodation this is it. The location was great as it's only a couple of blocks from the metro. The hosts Alva and her husband are such nice people who make you feel at home. We will definitely use this spot again when we leave the country and on further visits.

Basic, cheap,clean with lovely, friendly staff and a good hang out area with pool table/ping pong

The breakfast is basic, but I knew that, the coffee kept on coming

Very good

I booked a dorm, but when I arrived the dorm was closed/out of service so they upgraded me to a private room which was great. It felt very quiet when I was staying there (possibly because there was no dorm), which was no problem for me, but might not suit those that really want to meet other travellers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was good with powerful and warm shower.

Great hostal. Personal style l. Old Panama house

There was no breakfast. Did not expect it as there is a shared kitchen.

We had a bit of confusion regarding use of space. Workers said one thing and the owner another. We got it all worked out. They were all helpful.

The family is very friendly and helpful. It is basic but cozy space with relaxing back garden in the middle of the city. The location is good. 2 blocks from Vía Argentina subway station. There are many cheap and tasty local place to eat. The Colombian restaurant in front of B&B has a good food and open very early till very late. The bakery, 1 short block away also has good bread. I stayed in a private room with a share bathroom. The room is very small but I just needed to sleep before my flight. I wish I could stay longer to enjoy the place and I will book again if I go back to Panama. My flight was early morning and left 5am. The front door open 24h from inside. Nobody was there but I just leave a key and the door was locked behind me. You need to buzz to call someone to go in. So it is safe. I was able to use Wifi in my room but I need to be close to the door.

A lovely home in the Busy city

Great ! I've spend a week there and I felt at home since the beginning. The rooms are really clean, you have a kitchen to cook on your own, a yard that alows you to relax in this bussy city. Even ping-pong table and a billard. The people working there were lovely. I definitely recomend it ! :)
