very accessible, you can wander around the town, lovely shops and dining, great pubs and lovely light display on the heritage buildings at night. Great breakfast in the courtyard.
it’s a bit dated, rooms could do with a makeover, but lovely attentive staff.

In town so an easy and pleasant walk to cafes, restaurants, brewery and we were staying in an interesting heritage building that was renovated in keeping with style.
Would have preferred taller ceilings and opening widows. Possibly available in premium rooms. Wasn't enough information regarding the history of the building. I could read more into the building's history than was provided. That could found on a small poster board that I needed to look for.

The hotel is very centrally located. The courtyard area is very nice, and the restaurant very good.
Our room was very small with nowhere to lay anything down. I realise it is a beautiful heritage building with small rooms, but a little less bulky furniture and not so many cushions would have made it seem more spacious. The staircase up to our room was VERY narrow and we struggled getting our suitcases up-once again I appreciate it is a heritage building, but anyone not fit would struggle.

Room was clean and comfortable, location was central to shops and restaurants so could walk everywhere in town.
Pillows were a bit too high for me, but hey bring your own!!!

This is a very pleasant hotel. It's a great building, the rooms are very pleasant, and it's in the middle of town.
We had no complaints at all — and shall definitely return

They charged me $300 for alleged damages. When I asked for photos of the alleged damages I was hung up on.

Location was good, nice and close to everything
Main room had a lot of space missing that was allocated to the bathroom so not much movement or space for bags.
7.0
location is very convenient, staff are friendly and price is reasonable
we had the downstairs room with courtyard in front, the guest at the restaurant/cafe can be quite loud in the morning so not ideal if you like a sleep in. in addition, the shower makes quite a loud noise, likely the old pipes.
there is no parking on-site, street parking on weekdays is limited to 2 hr, though there is an all day parking lot nearby.
6.0
close to town, accommodating staff of hotel (but not so the independently owned restaurant)
Issues with the restaurant (independently owned and run) cleaning/sweeping outside our room at 6.30am, music on shortly after that and didn’t seem to care when we requested some peace and quiet. Hotel staff very understanding and moved us to a quieter room and gifted us a free wine tour and a partial refund on our stay.
