Rooms impersonal and functional. Window blinds in poor condition. No hair dryer available.

A good place to stop overnight when doing the NC500

Looks fairly ordinary from outside but inside is outstanding. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Food in the restaurant was really nice and reasonably priced.

No complaints.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our room was above the bar associated with the hotel and although they turned the music down it still carried through to our room. But the most unfortunate event was the alarm to the restaurant that went off at 3 in the morning for 10-15 minutes.

Stopover en-route to Orkney

Lovely young staff who were very helpful both at check in/out and when dining. Can recommend breakfast and dinner. Location was good and in walking distance of the train station and shops.

The room was cold in the evening as the radiator was not functioning properly to dissipate heat. This was reported at the time but the person on duty was unable to rectify. In my opinion, rate should include breakfast.

Only twin rooms, great location.

Great location and the staff were friendly.

Despite booking a double room, it was twin beds when we arrived. We were informed it is advertised incorrectly and they are planning to change the rooms.

Visit to Thurso

This is a inn that have also a restaurant. The room was not big but comfortable and quiet with nice street view. Didn't take breakfast as I had to leave very early to the ferry to Orkney. Nice staff, they gave me the taxi contact to ask for one, which I didn't use. Good wifi

Very relaxing and welcoming, staff were attentive

Room met my requirements, Breakfast was an excellent choice, although I would have liked a cereal choice. Restaurant had a excellent range and very varied. It also had a good atmosphere, very pleased.

Good stop over on our NC500 trip.

Very helpful staff, room was clean. We didnt have breakfast but had a really nice evening meal in the restaurant.

Fine for an overnight stay but, as expected, little extra comfort in the adequate room.

The restaurant, part of the Inn, was a good place to eat and was popular with locals, always a good sign.

Exceptional

The rooms are located in an annex attached to the Inn. The rooms are as described and location was perfect. Had lunch and dinner in the Inn and would recommend the food.

Pleasant stay..

Good size room with plenty of hanging space.

Location of room right over a pub, with people smoking, smoke rising up through the windows of our bedroom. Noisy at times during the night.

The price was a little more expensive than expected as it’s a room only . The tv Ariel could benefit from an upgrade
