The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly.
The noise from the room above was annoying every time someone moved. It echoed through the room. The shower wasn't great. More water was leaking from the taps than the actual shower head.

Great location, a stones throw away from the sea. The room was very clean and spacious. We had everything that was needed for few nights stay. The bathrobes were a nice touch.
A little pricey given there is no housekeeping.

The fact that the bedrooms were clean and thr bed was comfy.
The shower only dribbled, couldn't adjust the force of the water either. Place smelt musty and on walking in to the pub, place smelt like wet dog.

Rooms are obviously recently refurbished, large and well furnished with lovely bathroom. Room 2 is the best with a sea view and window seat. We considered going out for breakfast but decided to take their in room breakfast option which was amazing value, beautifully presented and very generous - not to be missed!
Entrance was rather off putting - no obvious entry point and you walk into a large (& empty at 4pm) bar. Was concerned that the rooms might be a little run down but this was not an issue at all

It's very central, two mins walk from the beach and close to bars and restaurants. There is no formal parking, but we had no problem finding on-street parking for free.
There was no reception desk. The bar acts as reception. When we arrived mid afternoon all the doors were locked. We knocked and a very nice chap opened up for us. It was more like a guesthouse than a hotel

bedrooms were very good and well equipped i.e. tea and coffee etc hair dryer. Comfortable bed and nice white linen.
Ah! Shame to say, really, but evenings in the bar were somewhat noisy. There were nearly always very few people in the bar area, but it became noisy most nights when people started to play pool. One or two men (may have been staff and/or family) were especially loud and used bad language - a lot.

I am a student at the University and I booked the hotel so I could have a quiet, relaxing place to study. I found a deal for a good price and stayed here on a whim. I loved everything about the hotel, the staff was friendly, the room was exceptionally clean, and it was very quiet. I would've preferred the location more central to the town center, but other than that it exceeded my expectation.

Hotel had been refurbished during lock-down so was all new. Lovely bed, excellent shower, new carpets throughout. Very firendly staff who let us in early because of the atrocious weather and storm (we had planned to sight-see in Aberystwyth but the wind and rain made that impossible. It was lovely to get into the comfort of the room.
Hotel is just 100 m from the beach and sea prominade.
All though a beautiful victorian building - the entrance which is to the pub on the ground floor belies the quality of the hotel above . Because of the Lock-down they were not offering breakfast and had not opened up their dining area. But there was a list of cafes in the room in the neighbourhood one could go to. We did not bother and went for elevenses instead later in the day. Parking is on-street or car park further away.
