Perfect location and super nice staff. The common areas are great for meeting people and sharing a meal, also everything was kept extra clean.
Small but not cramped
It can get quite loud from the noise in the street, specially if you need to leave the windows open bc of the usual stiffness of the air in a dorm. And my bed was open on a side so more light that needed 🤣Other than that it was comfortable and spaces were good.

Hotel was cozy and clean in the heart of Galway. Still the biggest advantage of the place is its staff, all of them, but especially Tom who was extremely welcoming and helpful!

Place was very clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, the whole lot. Especially Pam, receptionist who's beautiful smile brightens up every day.
1. Balcony should be smoking area
2. Living room should be bigger. If they would turn biggest room on 3 floor in big living room. Put some arcade games and two wending machines. With that, I think, this hostel would be top 5 in Ireland.
Cause it's got location, outside architecture and Def charm.
Don't get me wrong, stay was perfect, this are just ideas to things even greater.

We booked this hostel for our son who is currently traveling the world. This is his review of the 3 week stay at Galway City Hostel: This was my first time to stay in a hostel and It sure exceeded my expectations! I felt really safe. Great location. Very clean hostel with friendly staff. Lockers under beds were greatly appreciated. Breakfast was included in the price. There’s a kitchen area where one can prepare food. There’s also a nice common seating area. There are individual wall plugs for each bunk, and bunks are discreetly covered with curtains. Pub crawls and arranged tours were an absolute bonus! This was my first visit to Galway but I never felt alone because staying in a hostel is an excellent way to make friends, and this made the Galway trip a great experience! Just a few steps from the train and bus terminal, and Eyre Square is just across the road. Everything I needed is within walking distance. I will definitely come back to stay here again.

Washrooms could’ve been cleaner, same with the shared space (kitchen/dining area). Hated the locker idea. It was very nosy to use especially when others were asleep.

We got there by train and the hostel is right in front of the train station! It is a lovely hostel with a cool vibe and comfortable amenities to stay in Galway for a couple of days. Also, the pub under it had live music and it was a really good craic !
We booked on too short notice and the prices were kind of crazy even for Ireland.
