Nestled in Clarksdale, this lovely house for £99 per night is a great choice for your next break. A cute arts and crafts home a block from downtown Clarksdale. Also known as Johnnie Be Goode's house. Walking distance to all the juke joints including Red's and Morgan Freeman's Ground Zero Blues Club. Enjoy great southern food and BBQ in Clarksdale.. This home can be your base for enjoying live music in the heart of the Delta or a comfortable stay for family reunion, wedding or an other events. For those Elvis fans, it is only a little over an hour drive to Graceland. The house is approximately 1000 square feet and has a large yard with huge magnolia trees as well as a small fenced area for a pet. Pets are welcome! Also, a comfortable place base for visiting family, weddings, & reunions. Rest in our well appointed house with comfortable queen beds with 500 thread count sheets. Perfect location for a couple ol codgers in town to check out some blues clubs and old history... we had a great time kicking around Clarksdale, the people are very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Anniversary trip
They are working hard to restore this cute little cottage. Furniture and beds were comfy and it was a great home base for exploring Clarksdale. My husband enjoyed reading all of the performance posters!

In the Heart of Clarksdale
This little old house is perfect for a visit to Clarksdale. It's a little run-down (like Claksdale) but very nice inside. More than adequate. Great time in Clarksdale
Myself and my traveling companions' wish to thank Shirley and John for allowing us to stay at their house in Clarksdale, it was perfect. Comfy and convenient and we will defiantly come back. I only wish it was available in April. Shirley if you know of any place I might try to reserve for April 22 throu the 25th please advise me. It will be 4 women.

Overall the interior of the house was very clean.
Kitchen is well equipped and there was a very nice selection of CDs to listen to as well.
Interior of home is comfortable.
Location is convenient to downtown area.
We visited here for the Delta Blues Museum and to learn more about the history of the music. We did enjoy our stay here.
Below are the cons, in all fairness, we were just staying a couple nights and I did not contact the owner about the items listed below. We did enjoy our stay despite the items below.

The online listing misleading.
Yard looked like it had not been kept up all winter.
Located near a noisy intersection including a lot of foot traffic. But for the most part it would quiet down late at night.
Washer and dryer had special notes on how manage deficiencies that should have been repaired.
Shower door not working properly.
The half bath is extremely small. Looks more like mid-size closet.
Located on the edge of a neighborhood that appears somewhat rundown.
Overall, it's not a bad place to stay, I was disappointed at the lack of repair but the price was reasonable.

Charming house, but TV and Internet weren't working and could not be fixed during our stay. Manager came over right away to try to fix the problem and was very nice. Other than that, everything was great. Comfortable, close to downtown, perfect for us.

Plenty of towels. The house was clean and the furniture enjoyable.
Close proximity to our favorite blues joint "Red".
Will definitely consider booking this cottage again and can highly recommend it if you want to be near all the action in Clarksdale

Cute cottage within easy access to Clarksdale's live music
My sister, her husband, and I spent four days in this adorable Clarksdale, MS cottage during our adventure on the MS Blues Trail. Everything is cozy and comfy, and you could definitely walk to live music if you wanted. Clarksdale is the perfect location for exploring the MS Blues Trail as there is live music somewhere nearly every night of the week. It's also close to Memphis and was the largest town in MS we encountered on our journey. Cleveland, MS is not far and is a must-visit to see the MS Grammy Museum, one of the best museums I've been through. The cottage can be a bit tricky to find in the dark, so try to plan your arrival for daylight. This was a terrific place to say, and I would definitely stay there again.

Best house in Clarksdale!
This was our second time to stay in Johnnie Be Good house and we love it. It's very well stocked. And the beds are comfortable and the decor is very home like with great art work from local artists. Great location and the owner is super quick to respond with any questions. We'll be back!

Great place, close to Ground Zero!
Great little cottage located across the street from a lovely park--a good place to walk. The cottage is only about a ten minute walk from the music. We had an issue with the oven and the caretaker was there in a few minutes. My son and I traveled together and the half bath in one of the bedrooms provided privacy for us both. I would choose to stay there again.

Fantastic! Very comfortable and conveniently located.
We had a great time at "The Land Where The Blues Began". We stayed 4 nights and found the cottage very comfortable. The beds were comfy and all the linen pristine. The kitchen is well fitted out and the washing machine and dryer work well. The air-conditioning works very well also. The owners were great to deal with and communicated promptly. Would recommend it to anyone!
